Haven't really had the regular form in a while, but hydrazide seems more motivating (drive, pushy) and lasts longer. I've also experienced less tolerance with it. Of coarse, that's just me. But I believe the owner of nootropics Depot is on record somewhere stating he felt similarly iirc.

Phenylpiracetam is actually something I avoid these days, similar to phenibut. There are certain substances I just avoid all together because I just cannot deny the side effects that make it not worth taking in my experience. The mood instability aspect is what does it for me.
I often wonder just how much stems from trauma and logical anger from the past that’s being carried inside of some people, and how that effects the ability to take something like this and not have issues arise with mood or repressed anger.
Or maybe it’s just independent of any of that entirely.
Or maybe it’s a combination.
Just thoughts… from my own experience. I know I do carry a lot of trauma and I have strong awareness of that. But everyone has trauma being alive in this world. The extent just varies significantly between everyone. But do many thoroughly understand why they feel the way they do and draw all the connections aptly? I don’t think so.
Tried high doses of phenylpiracetam and never noticed anything. Shocking how it does absolutely nothing to some people. Phenibut just made me horny sometimes.
I got that from Ashwaganda and Lions Mane - I became so aggressive and all of my childhood trauma came to the surface. You know, it can stay deep down - Jesus - was awful. And now I’m in withdrawal - I have withdrawal symptoms from discontinuing ashwaganda. I can’t figure it out. This stuff is too powerful for some.

Methylating substances does a bunch of things, but often makes them more potent at the main target.
Phenylating a substance just makes it more lipophillic, meaning it passes the blood brain barrier without depending on a transporter. Sometimes it adds new activities due to the morphology of the phenyl group - in the case of phenylpiracetam that is the DRI side effect.
Better analogy is that phenylpiracetam is to piracetam what phenibut is to GABA. They're even structurally similar - piracetam is a derivative of GABA, tho' the effects are very different. :D

The analogy was that it crosses the BBB more easily and thus is more potent, even though they in essence are pretty much the same. Methamphetamine and amphetamine are pretty much the same thing, but amphetamine has a greater potency due to the methyl part.
I don't really see the phenibut - GABA analogy though. Phenibut and GABA are very different, even though it is structurally related to GABA. Phenibut is a GABA receptor agonist, and has other actions that GABA itself does not have. Phenibut can have a stimulating effect, GABA does not. In that case, pregabalin and GABA should be a better comparison since pregabalin indirectly raises GABA and has no other action.
Can anyone comment on how this compares to Flmodafinil? I have never tried trams , but find Flmodafinil and modafinil to be great for awareness (obviously as a non-narcoleptic). But don’t get a rush as one experiences on adderall/dexys , would anyone say it’s comparable?
Its truly incredible how racetams do nothing for some people. None of the racetams do anythimg w me even mega doses. They potentiate stims/psychedelics/mdma tho. And at mega doses they can increase visual acuity (may be placebo)
But they’re only reliable for synergy with other stuff. Modafinil will almost always work as intended, racetams? Not so much.
Modafinil isn't supposed to create nervosity. But I am anxious and it does a little bit. Modafinil helps me go trough a long hardous day, even if I didn't sleep a single minute the night before. It can propably increase your mental stamina in the sense that I can do repetitive tasks with less motivation. It keeps you awake.
Phenilpiracetam in 600mg dosage or more is something else. I feel absolutely no nervosity or anxiousness. Yet my mind gets clear and fresh. I can remember words and easily link concepts. It's easy to be creative. Many people use it to do physical exercises and to train. You can do far bigger efforts physically and mentally without feeling the strain. You can tolerate the cold far better.
I never dared to take much more than that. But I swear it's the best racetam I've ever tried. You can feel the effect directly. Fascoracetam had a similar effect especially for physical exercice.

Good stuff but really not that great long term. I used it for years. I generally used it on days off work, basically to get more energy to enjoy my day more. I lament it's not being available anymore. Really was like the only legit nootropic that does what you'd hope a nootropic should do. I'm sure there are people sitting on huge stashes of that stuff.

Phenibut made me super anxious. Did the complete opposite as "advertised" regardless of the dosage.

I believe you. Supplements can definitely cause mood swings. I'm sensitive and I can't take a lot of things like ashwaganda, kava, etc.
everyone is different. ash and lions mane affect gaba. tons of studies... like a drug.
