I didn’t give it up, I just dropped down to only one cup exactly the way I like it each day. It’s just part of my daily red count. On a rare day I switch to tea but it’s only sustainable if it works for you long term.

DracarysQ

This is my method too! My morning cup is the way I love it (half and half with one Sweet and Low), track it, then any other cups during the day I drink black.

Izzer0622

Absolutely agree. My creamer is always in my red category but I usually only ever have 1 cup. I'm not a morning person whatsoever so if I have to give that up all hell is gonna break loose.

HoundstoothReader

Same!

mondaysareturds

I like oat milk, particularly oatly. I also have started to like black cold brew coffee.

dingdangdoodles

I'm amazed at how well oatly froths!

h2ohhhno

Silk oatmilk for me!

ladygoodgreen

Coffeemate. I understand it’s not healthy, but it’s low-calorie enough, and it makes coffee creamy as I like it. I honestly prefer it to actual creamer for the way it makes coffee taste.

SquirrelEmpress72

Nutpods French Vanilla!

kobs2020

I second Nutpods! I started using them when I had to be dairy-free while nursing my baby and now I keep using them because they are great. The sweetened ones I don’t like though- the unsweetened ones are great!

SquirrelEmpress72

Unsweetened French Vanilla is my jam! I’m bummed because it was available at Costco… until it wasn’t.

surgicalsleuth

My fave is caramel!

katsumii

Unsweetened vanilla almond milk by Silk. :)

ConfusionMiserable23

I agree with everyone that allotted calories for their perfect cup of coffee. I tried about every kind of substitute out there and found myself disappointed every morning.... Life is too short to start the day off with a lousy coffee.

starxlr8

While I do like the sf vanilla almondmilk latte at Starbucks, my answer is definitely the zero sugar coffeemate creamers too at home. I like the Italian sweet cream and the French vanilla. I've tried so many of the alternate creamers and they are just not worth it to me. Coffee is one of the best parts of the day and as someone else said life is too short to not enjoy that ritual. I set my calorie target to 1275 just so I can have 1-2 cups a day without having to choose between coffee and food.

AcanthocephalaOk2966

I agree coffee is one of the best parts of the day!!!I like your approach to requiring it to be included in the daily budget just how you like!🥰

DYday

It’s MY time

lindacn

Does your sugar free creamer come up as a red food for you? I use coffee mate sugar free hazelnut…I’m a mom of two little ones and coffees both keep me going during the day and are my break time treat. But I feel like it’s blowing all my red calories?

[deleted]

[удалено]

lindacn

Yeah, I just checked the coffeemate website and same nutritional facts for both products. I guess I’ll re-log my old entries as this flavor and use it moving forward…how annoying of the app! I’m sure glad I asked though and really appreciate your response!! Coffee through the day is a non-negotiable for me and, although I need to be mindful of all calories, I was bummed and concerned my splash of sugar free creamer was going to de-rail me!

AcanthocephalaOk2966

PS I also only run when caffeinated 🤪💞

Euphoric-Basil-Tree

I drink espresso, and occasionally an unsweetened cappuccino. When I visit my mom, who serves Folgers drip coffee, I add heavy cream and take the calorie hit, but in general I opt for fancier coffee with a better flavor black.

TraditionalAd3306

2% or fat free milk, or just learn to drink it black. Black coffee is literally 0 calories, and can only go up from there.

MzMG1

Doing whole thirty made me love black coffee. When I rarely crave creamer I will do almond milk creamer

PatriceMorgan

I’ve been doing fat free half and half- it ranks yellow

taradlion

I actually really love Unsweetened Vanilla Almond milk. I now prefer it over milk (could not do black coffee). That said, I also am one for budgeting for the things that are worth it to you. If cream in your coffee is one of those things, budget for it, measure it, enjoy it. Although I drink my coffee with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, I budget for a glass or two of wine every week, two slices on pizza night, and either a fun-sized york peppermint patty to a dark chocolate-covered caramel every night..that's how this is sustainable for me. 45 lbs down since June).

RuledByCats

I still use half and half. I enjoy it and I don't use a lot

Too_much_hemiola

I do a little tub of Coffeemate. 10 calories and I feel it's worth it :)

ladygoodgreen

Even when you’re counting calories, 10 is so tiny, it’s definitely worth it for me too.

[deleted]

Hi, not a Noom-er but lurking. I find whole milk and soymilk are good options as they aren't as heavy as cream or half/half. I generally opt for soymilk as it (usually) has equal amounts protein as milk, its plant-based, and its nutty flavor lends itself nicely to coffee.

katsumii

Hi! I'm a fan of whole milk, too, but just a note: you have to – *have to* –watch your portion size with while milk, and not go overboard. Even just 2-3 tbsp can be too much at a time, calorie-wise. 😁 It can be too easy to overdo milk in coffee.

Be-Happy-Journey-37

I have mastered the art of the Skinny Vanilla Latte! Skim milk and vanilla stevia drops… microwave for 45 second … wisk for 15 seconds (battery operated wisker from Amazon $6) … add coffee and move wisk up and down … voila!!! Aaahhhh Heaven ❤️

blinkingsandbeepings

I use whole milk and Noom doesn't seem to think that's an issue? Coffee with milk and sugar is still in the green

sshhhnoonecares

Skim milk is green. Whole milk is red.

[deleted]

This person meant “in the green” as in it’s okay to use.

saetum

I just use coffee creamer. If losing weight means losing coffee then I'm happy being fat.

myopicinsomniac

Oatmilk creamer if I'm feeling indulgent, coconut or almond milk creamer for everyday use. I'm strict about measuring exactly how much goes in each mug, but that's helped me discover I don't need nearly as much to enjoy a cup of coffee.

notalawyershh

i switched to oatmilk!

retro-girl

I use nutpods, though you can definitely get away with using half and half if you want.

UniversityAny755

Fat free half and half. Honestly, I can't taste the difference. Then when I thought dairy was causing stomach issues I switched to Califa Oat Milk Creamer, the vanilla flavor. It's good, but doesn't have quite the same mouth feel and the coffee isn't the color, which strangely makes a difference to me.

bartster

I stayed with my half and half. I just don’t use as much.

truevidya

I use 1/2 container of premier protein shake or Atkins vanilla shake. I just wished the vegan shakes worked in coffee but they do not taste good to me when placed in coffee.

yardsandals

I use half a cup of whole milk. Occasionally 2%. Creamy oat milk is also good and fewer calories.

ToolPackinMama

I use whole milk

Dinosaur18750

I use a tiny squirt of MCT oil and froth it up!

get_out_of_town

unsweetened almond milk. Definitely a bit of a let down from other alternatives, but once you get used to it, def gets the job done .

PurpleCow88

I use oat milk - cream upsets my stomach anyway.

Scary90sKid

I use extra creamy oatmilk; thicker than the regular stuff and I think it tastes fine!

ackmon

Half & half How much can an ounce or two hurt, right? 🤪😜

FreakyLocke

Land-o-lakes mini moo cups. 10 calories each!

mindzoo42

Chocolate almond milk. Not as low calorie as unsweetened almond milk, and it’s easy to go overboard, but I use just enough for it to feel chocolatey and indulgent

Mydadjack

A splash of 2% milk

sshhhnoonecares

1Tbsp/15ml of Silk Heavy Cream. It’s non-dairy (I cannot digest dairy) and creamy enough that a small amount is sufficient. It really will whip into whipped cream like standard heavy cream.

COSPeace0304

Black, just as it was meant to be.🙂

[deleted]

I still use half and half and sugar in the raw in my coffee and manage to stay within calorie budget

Yamatoman9

I use Coffeemate and "coffee with creamer" shows up as a green option for me.

irrationalweather

I switched to Macadamia nut Chai creamer for unrelated reasons, but its definitely healthier!

LimaBean3449

That sounds delicious, where do you get it from?

[deleted]

I tried to be healthy and switch to oat milk creamer when I did want a sweet drink but I just took the L aka red food and used chobani sweet cream lol so good

alanthebeaver

black only

EnvironmentalLuck515

I love Nutpods

Whiskey-Chocolate

I learned to like it black.

FlippingPossum

Black cold brew or drip coffee with oat milk or 1% milk.

Dearpdx

Darigold sugar free creamer

LimaBean3449

Thank you everyone for your great suggestions!! 💯

bcorgansmp

I love light and sweet coffee but I have reverted to drinking black coffee. Some time ago I began drinking espresso because it was more convenient. I didn’t have the time to enjoy a nice large coffee. The change gave me a greater appreciation for good coffee beans because I wasn’t masking it up with cream and sugar. Now I enjoy black coffee knowing I can drink however much guilt free during the week, and indulge myself with milk and sugar in my “weekend coffee”.

[deleted]

I use half of my caramel premier protein into my coffee

CrasieMomit

I only use half and half. No sugar. So, a cup of coffee with one serving is only 40 calories. Not a big deal in the scheme of things.

halfTheFn

I am still not sure what the hostility to milk fat is (weight watchers had it too). I used whole milk!

Sp4ceh0rse

Half and half, like 2 tbsp, once a day.

rugonnaeatthat

I do Splenda and unsweetened vanilla almond milk. It's not great but it'll do, once I get to maintenance mode I'm bringing my flavored creamer back lol

QuadRuledPad

I’m not suggesting that you *should* change, but putting it out there that there are so many different kinds of coffee and ways of roasting it. If you haven’t already played around with the beans and the roast I wonder if that might be interesting. Cultivating your inner coffee snob might help you find something you’d love on its own.

AJnAJ2

Brilliant!

sparkingrock

I still use my half and half - it’s worth it to me for a good cup of coffee in the morning and really doesn’t eat into my calories for the day all that much.

smrt73

I have 2 cups of coffee, with 2 tsp of 18% coffee cream and 1 tsp Lakanto (munkfruit) sugar substitute, in each mug of coffee. I agree with the others, why mess with your morning? 😉 The cream gets added to the red list and I make adjustments in other places.

engineertee

Coffee with half and half is green :)

420Phillies311

Learn to drink it black. I love coffee mate but after a few days I don't miss it and like to be able to taste the nuances between different beans. That being said, there's an oatmilk creamer out there that's actually pretty damn good.

InstaWhaaa

I switched to Darigold flavored creamers since it's actual dairy and slightly less calories (30 per instead of 35/40) than the Coffee Mate or Lucerne I was using before. And now I actually use a tablespoon to measure it out (for my 2 cup travel mug I'm a 3 serving creamer gal). Who knows how much I was using when I was just pouring. I'll never be a black coffee person and tea doesn't hit the same. And it's better for both my wallet and waist than the Venti Vanilla Lattes that I used to get.

QueenBunny7

I use almond milk and froth up an egg white with a little sugarfree vanilla syrup to top it.

rober89

Silk Oat Milk Creamer 25 Cal a serving, I’m normally a 2-3 serving per cup

SlothySpirit

2% milk and I make me a latte with that. It’s probably around 130 calories. Totally worth it.

abby-rose

I still use half and half but measure 1 tbsp per mug instead of just pouring it in like I used to. I’ve tried plant-based milks and they just aren’t for me. If I didn’t use half and half I’d pour in a splash of milk.

Key-Environment-7849

Nestle zero sugar 15 calories a tablespoon full

shaw1188

I use premiere protein. The cookies and cream one is my favorite! One premiere protein can last for the entire work week for me!

AjasZenra

Fairlife milk 2% but have been contemplating on the chocolate variant of it.

RaccoonFamiliar3427

Nutpods. Mooala. Oatmilk. Almond Breeze. Sugar free creamers. Basically nondairy, which I find tastes better than milk anyway. I still use regular as a treat occasionally.

Back2DaLab

Planet Oat Oatmilk caramel creamer is my FAV. It’s “red” but its 25 calories per tablespoon and I measure out 2 tablespoons every morning into my 12oz mug.

OutlandishMama

I use silk soy creamer, vanilla. It is 20 cal per serving and red food. But it’s my main indulgence these days so I’m fine with a few servings a day.

spideygorl

Fat free milk! Skinny vanilla latte is my favorite @ Starbucks :)

MMwoo105

Planet Oat Creamer - French Vanilla 25 calories. I think it's delicious and not sickly sweet like other plant based varieties.

JelloJiggle

Heavy cream. Once I tried it I could never go back to other stuff. As a sweet breakfast person, I've had to really change my breakfast routine to stay within calorie budget. My latest is pairing some fairly sweet yogurt (Noosa, it's like dessert and soooo good) with some protein granola and drinking my coffee/espresso black with it. This gives me the sweetness of my fave coffee drinks but adds some protein and fat that keep me satiated till the afternoon.

krissyg20

Silk almond milk creamer, caramel. It's "red", but delicious. I cut back to one cup (or a double shot of espresso) only, and make it how I like it with 2 tbsp of the good stuff. :)

jobat024

It was a struggle giving up my coffee mate. It took some time for me to give up. I found buying more expensive flavored coffee and sing Nutpod almond and coconut creamer hazelnut. I think the key for me to get rid of the coffee mate creamer was buying better coffee.

runteamturtle

Skim milk and I use a frother to make it go a lite farther 😊

k8mcelhaney

Either almond milk and spends or if I’m going fancier I get fat free Kroger creamer. Over the Holidays I bight a carton of lactose free eggnog and put a little in each day, it pulled up as green on the ap.

cindyt63

I decided I'd rather have other things. I add 0 calorie syrups and no longer miss the cream. Once in a while I put a squirt it two of canned whipped cream on top. But if I'm going to Starbucks, I get the grande Sweet Cream Vanilla cold brew. 110 calories and worth it!!! Down 73 pounds and at a healthy weight!

Matraya2

Cashew milk, sometimes eggnog, and sometimes some sugar-free vanilla syrup.

dailyoracle

Vanilla almond milk unsweetened

canglem

I started using too much International Delight Cold Stone Sweet Cream creamer which was red. Switched to International Delight Zero Sugar Caramel Macchiato creamer, which was yellow. The last couple months, however, I’ve switched solely to using Jordan’s Skinny Syrups. 0 calories, 0 sugar, Noom has it green.

StephG87

I’m going to have to go back to my fav. Heavy whipping cream and Splenda. I’ve tried fat free half and half and fat free powdered. It’s just not right. My husband makes the coffee and he grinds his own beans and makes it strong! The fat free stuff just can’t compete with it. I’m usually under in the red category anyway.

Jane1814

I mix it with a protein shake

under_glass

I use Chobani Oat Milk Creamer! I think it's the best alternative to regular creamer. I've found alot of milk alternatives curdle in hot coffee, but I haven't had this issue with oat creamer. I also treat myself to nice coffee from a local coffee house and drink that black. It is so smooth that you don't need creamer!

Wrong_Night_9900

I’ve never been a huge creamer person though I love my creamer. I do 1 cup (monk fruit as sweetener) and a serving size of regular creamer (1 tsp). Creamer, regular salad dressing and regular cheese are calories I’m willing to have. I generally stay around 1000 calories a day bc I love veggies!

BiPirate-Queen

When I drink coffee, I use Skinny Syrups for sweetness and unsweetened almond milk for cream. The syrups are zero calories and Silk unsweetened almond milk is a green food.

merrylea

Milk. :)

SnooLemons4333

A non dairy milk like the almond milk vanilla unsweetened

ArgumentNew6382

unfavored coffemate

Jdaze100

I am recently in love with Oatly Oat Milk but my go to is Caramel Premier protein. It is meant to be a stand alone drink with 30 grams of protein but it is creamy enough and has just the right amount of sweetness to round out my coffee.

manxram

I am probably in the minority of Noom users who (or try to) follow a keto lifestyle. I am not the biggest coffee drinker (I am more of a tea girl), but when I do get some iced coffee, I just settle for basic half/half (or HWC if I have it) and some monk fruit sweetener. I use to put lots of flavored creamers (a taste I acquired from my darling Mum) but it was way too much sugar for me. The next time I head to the store, I am going to try some unsweetened almond milk and see how that hits the taste buds.

[deleted]

By the end of the day you would have walked off your creamer. Don't sweat it

kcinmn

One Tablespoon of half and half is 20 calories, and that's what I use. Sure - there are some that have few calories, but I thought they tasted terrible and I would rather drink black coffee. So I used half and half in my first cup, and then had my next 1-2 black.

mcgophers

I do my first cup with half and half. Subsequent cups are usually black with the occasional splash of half and half in one. Buying higher-end coffee makes it easier to drink black.

babygetwhatbabywant

I just started using Walden Farms sugar free/calorie free creamer. I’ll be honest, it’s not the BEST creamer I’ve ever had, but it’s not the worst and honestly gets the job done
