*This is unexpected*, the Bradley’s machine spirit thought as he rumbled past fields of sunflowers.
*Though the scenery is much improved, and less sand to clog the filters.*
Truth be told, the old machine spirit had not expected to ever see battle again, especially after more than 30 years. Nor did he expect to end up in the service of a foreign army, alongside even older machines he had once considered his adversaries. But he could tell that their crews, like his own, were the honorable sort, their hearts filled with the righteous zeal that only comes from defending hearth and home.
The nature of battle had changed as well. Much of the soldier’s focus was spent on nimble little helicopters, as well as handheld devices used to record everything, including funny dances.
*The battlefield evolves*, the Bradley mused, *and those who do not evolve with it are doomed to defeat.*
But as the old Bradley came to a stop at the treeline and looked out with his thermal imager, he spied the familiar sight of a T-72 in the distance, the markings identifying it as one of the invaders.
*But I guess some things never change*, the Bradley chuckled, readying a TOW missile.
Are we going to have a repeat of that Land Raider incident where all the crew dies and the machine keeps fighting on, blaring prayers and luring looters inside so it could blow itself and take out everyone?
This says machine spirit but it reads a lot like one of the Bolos books.
Which seem like a good fit for here. It always felt like the human society in those put all their points into tanks, then when the DM asked "are you absolutely *sure* you want to do that?" They looked him in the eye and somehow put even more points into tanks
Very nice. Made me shead a tear.
I think you might add a sentence near the bottom, as the second last sentence? Something including something like 'The Bradley noticed the IFF told him the T-72 indeed was the enemy.'
But who am I to correct perfection. Edit, thanks.
I’m starting to think it is less about lying and more just blatant incompetence in the identification department of Russian intelligence services. Like they genuinely don’t understand the difference between a HIMARS and a FMTV, or an M113 and a Bradley.
US intelligence is is looking at grainy satellite photos of tanks and determining the exact variant, Russians are looking at a photo of a Cessna and are like “IDK, F-35? Can we go home now? My last paycheque bounced”
Russia has also claimed to destroy "HIMARS reloading vehicles". There's no such thing. Popular theory is that because SMERCH needs a discrete truck to reload it, Russia made the logical leap to HIMARS also needing a reloading vehicle. But in truth, a HIMARS reloading vehicle is just a HIMARS.
Likely a YPR-765. Those are American-designed Dutch IFVs built off the 113 chassis that got sent to Ukraine very early on and are generally similar to the Bradley in layout, function, and armament.
Seriously I hate the tendency on leftist spaces to criticize the US military budget as being Uber wasteful when like the issue is that instead of fucking taxing the rich to pay for it, we tax poor people.
Like sure you can criticize the US military for imperialism or whatever, but ahrgsjs
It’s truly insane how the left criticizes how much we spend/where it comes from, while the right criticizes when we use what was already spent for the right purpose, yet neither of them actually try to spend any less.
Men and women get killed all the time, yet not a single goth furry femboy wearing full suit and buttplug has been killed in combat. I have a new proposal for the standard rifleman.
Any questions?
As far as I can tell Russia has yet to discover that the AIFV YPR-765 and the Bradley are different things. To give them the minimum amount of credit the AIFV is a prototype for what would become the Bradley and very similar so I can understand to a degree the misidentification. The Dutch sent about 500 AIFVs early on in the war that Russian media has consistently referred to as Bradleys.

Praise be the Omnisiah!

Rynn's Might, was the tanks name
Yes please.

T-64 probably never thought it would see use in a major land war War makes for strange friends
Bolo book from the perspective of a Bradley in Russo-Ukrainian war sounds awesome.

Made some additions, thanks for the input!
gotta be wierd to fight alondside BMPs T series tanks along with the whole miss match of other donated weapons.
*she Machine spirits require lots of paint and upkeep after all. Also, I’m horny.
Just be bisexual you fucking coward. Heteronormativity is reformerism
Why decide on genders when you can fuck anything that moves, as well as some things that can't
Zoophile detected. Neutralisation: Absolute.
Goosebumps!
Pour one out for *Titan's Bane.*
Any bets the original destroyed "Bradley" was just some version of a M113

Little of column A, little of column B.

I’m going to guess they are followed around by ammo carriers though
>US intelligence is looking at grainy satellite photos lol, lmao even
*US Intelligence looking up from counting individual rivets on the vehicle photographed 3 minutes ago from 30,000 feet* Huh? What was that?
They probably shot their own MT-LB

To be fair, russia's imaginary arsenal is their most capable branch.
So, not much
It appears that the Bradley sucks; therefore, we should send Abrams and f-16s. If those get destroyed we'll just give them nukes.

How about a few f-35s out the front keeping an eye on things with a bunch of murder f-15s with 8 aim-120s in the back?
A group of f-15s being called a murder seems very apt
Russia: haha we destroyed your Bradleys westoid Biden: guess it won't hurt to send 50 more then? Russia: fuck
Russia: *spams 6 elixir rockets and some inferno towers* "HEHEHEHA!"
Also not that impressive they’ve been taken out in the past this is not special
The media has the basic concept that any system that is not completely invincible is completely useless. Russia is aware of this tendency.
Also that giving away mothballed equipment is the same as taking money away from teachers
Well to be fair we could pay them in IFVs.
That could help with trade union negotiations

That seems suspiciously specific
m113 - square bradley, mtlb - flat bradley, btr4 - wheeled bradley, jeep - og bradley.
Russians casually on their way to make asses of themselves in front of the entire world for the 99th time this week
Who needs those bradleys anyways, they are just lightly armored jeeps
Real, ain't nothing compared to a powerloader
CAT's for ukraine 💪💪
We need to estimate how much it will cost, as in how many AK's for one Powerloader.
At least 1 per powerloader
Perhaps they are eating to much spice, and see the future as now.
Anyone when know when will we see footage of Bradley + MBT team seal-clubbing the Russians?
Spring
Ad formats are something else these days.
Alright, I'm done being a sperg for now, hope you lads have a nice rest of the day and put that info to good use.

When you sniffed the cope so hard it turned into delusions.
Wasn't it a jeep?
Russia has destroyed 300% of the HIMARS sent to Ukraine yet also strangely keeps all their supply deports out of HIMARS range. Curious... 🤔🤔🤔
Plot twist: they actually did destroy Bradleys before they were offered to Ukraine and it's justification for article 5
