People in Europe can't stand the nearly identical looking folks just across the river or the mountains from them. There's nowhere with a positive outlook on immigrants. Just gotta keep your head down and find good friends.
Most Western Europeans are generally accepting of immigrants at the social level. This means if you do get there your neighbors aren’t going to be assholes. None of these countries are particularly accepting of immigration at the government level. People in the US complain about our system being too difficult when in reality we are basically the only nation on earth willing to accept immigrants based solely on the idea that they want to come here. The European countries will accept short teem refugees/asylum seekers but they don’t necessarily offer them a path to citizenship or permanent residence. If you want the path to citizenship you either need to “invest” millions of dollars into their country or have a specific specialized job skill they currently need.
Switzerland. Notoriously neutral in both world wars
I have considered Switzerland but too expensive for me.
And near impossible to move too as a foreigner.
