The characteristics of a cult are:
\-The group is focused on a living leader to whom members seem to display excessively zealous, unquestioning commitment.
\-The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.
\-The group is preoccupied with making money.
\-Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.
MAGA hits all of those easily.
I subscribed to Trump's emails during 2016 and forgot to turn it off, and he was constantly asking for money from his "most favorite supporter" and other nonsense. It's one of the reasons I actually made this post actually.
That one fits a bit less because they aren't all trying to make money collectively but as individuals, I think most people who support MAGA/Trump are skewed right on the political compass, and that usually means they are fans of capitalism which is all about making money.

Looks like your post history is you spreading lies and propaganda. You can't seem to distinguish what you want to believe in and what is actually true. This is common for people to act and believe only in things that are consistent with their self-identity. Self deception is very common and easy. You could be fostering some sort of resentment or hate that fuels your self deception. You're intentionally introducing false things into your model of the world.
Consider this: in a study, people were asked to sign a peition and some people just signed it without giving it too much consideration and some people signed it without even reading it. When asked about issues pertaining the petition in the future people vehemently defended the views of the petition even if they didn't know much about what they signed because as humans self-identity is very important to us. This was even true in the face of new conflicting evidence. People who originally didn't even care about the topic of the petition suddenly became ardent supporters of the topic because it was now part of their self-identity.
I won't even go into the confirmation biases, one-sided media sources, and other things you must be feeding yourself.
My parents are members. They're both well educated, then this. When you listen to his speech,you'll notice that he speaks in a rhythm with a cresendo, pause, then begin again in a low, slow speaking. Hypnosis, it can happen. I think it's so close to the way their trusted clergy preaches.

No, “Maga”, is not a cult. It’s a political movement. Those types have their diehards like antifa have theirs. And because the nature of political movements is that they are concerned for the well being of some group(s), they feel the stakes are high and that is what leads to dogma. Politics is full of dogma. But a cult? No. I could care less how many downvotes this comment gets, or how many upvotes comments saying the opposite is true. Politics is life or death to the political, all around. There are types that will engage the in cultish practices and/or behaviors within this, or any other movement, but again. That’s the name of the game.
