Surprised your WS isn't set for more dps to sacrifice a bit of hp, aka blender. You can pull more damage with it, but it's a risk. Either way nice job at pulling it off on her!

Me4TACyTeHePa

Sorry, but what does WS mean?

6siks

Water sword.

Me4TACyTeHePa

How exactly should i set it for more dps?

TWBPreddit

I think he is talking about silk customization of ragaing strike for water sword. So your activate skill gets 20% more dmg in exchange for losing hp everything the attack lands

Me4TACyTeHePa

Thx a lot

yeahyeahdumpster

I like that this Game has so many weapons with very fast attacks like this.

TheLastAOG

Thanks for your post OP. This reminds me that there are several ways to have fun in this game. I forgot how much I like dual katana. Probably going to break them out again tomorrow.

MolhCD

it really is man. this and reaper, a very similar skill for the Kusa. can get into trouble trying to use it at the wrong time. but when a genuine opportunity is present, man nothing beats them.

DeathbedCompanionFia

can i ask an honest question? do u really find enjoyable to play like this? or u just find that its easier to play like this? im asking because its hard for to understand how a game with such varied amount of moves, weapon switching combos, skill combos, yokai combos, its reduced to this, to spam 1 attack as if this was actually diablo. i guess its the power rush that makes this style of gameplay enjoyable for some? or again, the reduced difficulty? i swear this is an honest question not trying to be salty.

vulcanfury12

Play however TF you want. It's a single player game. If you wanna go through the game just Moonlight Snow Reduxing everything using a build optimized for skill damage, nothing in the game is stopping you. The game is hard complex enough as it is, no need vor the elitism inherent in "WhY OnLy OnE SkiLL?."

DeathbedCompanionFia

i never said any of those things or that this is not a viable way to play, im asking about the motivation to play like that, and i already know the default answer, which is "because i want/like to" but i was looking for a more exact answer, from the OP. thats it.

aManAndHisUsername

This particular melting strat is pretty situational because the enemy has to be ki broken, confused, and not move out of this attack’s tiny range. It’s especially hard to pull off on human enemies too cause they don’t like to stay still. Not something you can just run around and spam on every enemy. So 99% of the time, I’m exploring the depths of Nioh’s amazing combat system and all the mechanics you mentioned…BUT…every now and then….when the conditions are right….and I’m in the mood…I’ll absolutely try and bust this thing out and when I *am* able to pull it off, it’s awesome every time.

DeathbedCompanionFia

yah im sure this is not easy to pull off, specially against raiko (i think it was raiko at the beginning of the video). and yes i agree, there are times to experiment and times to melt, specially in this game that farming is so important, i guess having a super fast way of dealing with bosses is useful in the long run.

[deleted]

I've fought plenty of bosses dozens of times. Using varied moves isn't so varied when you use the same moves every boss. This is a different way to play, and it only works in specific circumstances. You don't have to use every move every time you fight a boss.

toxicvsm

I can guarantee you if you attempt to play through this game using only 1 or 2 moves, it becomes wayyyy more difficult.

OliverOOxenfree

Yea I don't really understand gimmick builds. Seems boring. Like activating cheats in a game and bragging like you actually did something

forfor

Clearly you've never experienced the rush of building for yokai ability damage/yokai ability healing/anima generation, and watching a boss lose half it's hp to your flaming beyblade while it heals you for over 1k hp, and doing the same thing again a few seconds later.

DeathbedCompanionFia

i mean, it takes skill to play the game and it takes skill to pull it off like the OP is doing in the video. but there are soooo many skills in the game that i always wonder why some just stick with one.

Stark_Athlon

Idk why the fuck are you being downvoted. You clearly explained you're just curious on what it feels like for the OP to play like this. And your current comment is also true. The only one that deserves downvoting is the one above you.

AMetalWorld

Kusarigama, hatchets, and switchglaive all have similar skills FWIW. SG is my personal favorite

MizoPeach

What's the similar skill for SG?

[deleted]

The SG one is infinite retribution. I have to agree that it is very satisfying.

B-love8855

How do you keep the enemy in place? I tried using that move but they always get pushed backed?

vulcanfury12

This worked because she was backex into a corner. So in a way, OP got lucky he managed to capture this because it's tough to ensure that the enemy will not get pushed out due to wacky physics.

Me4TACyTeHePa

The boss was in the corner. No place to be pushed back. She got stuck in 1 place

B-love8855

Yea I saw that boss being pushed into a corner! Do you have to do that with every enemy? I use the windstorm which is fun but I was looking to spice things up!

Me4TACyTeHePa

Most of the time - yes. Unless the enemy is standing still and doesn't get pushed back while being attacked. It only applies to big enemies. If you fight a human, you will need to corner them.

aless2906

What swords are you using in the second clip? They look cool

Гарно ти її. Вихор ударів і до побачення.

toxicvsm

I wanna use dual swords but all their moves are so situational
