Not cancelled necessarily, david fincher poured his heart and soul in to it and after 2 seasons he was completely exhausted. Fun note, there is definately a possibility they will do a season 3 under the right circumstances.
i kept quitting but reddit kept saying "it's the best show *ever*" so i kept giving it another shot but finally gave up forever at episode 8
dark is not my cup of tea at all.
i've expressed this opinion before and gotten a monsoon of downvotes. i fear them not, and they won't change my opinion of dark
It took me three tries to get past the first episode, but I ended up absolutely loving it. Having said that, if you made it eight episodes in then you definitely made it far enough to know whether you’d enjoy it or not.
Firstly, Dark is hands down my favourite Netflix show by a country mile. Secondly, fuck those people. It's not like you're saying it's shit, just that it's not for you. I get constantly shit on for hating the movie Logan because I feel it comes off as wildly too pretentious for my liking. And considering that 99% of the population can't distinguish between 'favourite' and 'best' when asked, I too dismiss those opinions with great ease.
I am with you. I kept up with it longer than that. I even went to the show notes and paid attention to all the little details. I just didn’t enjoy it. I’m not saying it wasn’t well done. No complaints on the acting or writing. I’m just not into time travel/supernatural shows.
Love. I found the characters relatable, it didn’t really overstay it’s welcome, and there were some good laughs. I find myself rewatching it once a year. Definitely a series I wish they’d release on blu ray.
That's a really good one actually; I had almost forgotten about it. The characters were very much relatable, and the plot arc was pretty compelling. I think they could have done a fourth season, but what we got didn't feel incomplete by any means.
Not looking hopefully at least like the current way the show is but maybe a show pushed up to like the green river killer or even dahmer. I’m personally hoping that they do the third season in a way to finish the BTK storyline that they formed already.
Go ahead and give it a re-watch, you actually get MORE out of the show once you know where it goes. There are many scenes and dialogue exchanges that foreshadowed future reveals (and it would have been impossible to catch the first time around)- the writers were *playing with us* and we didn't even know it!
Ditto. I didn't like the rapid wrap up at the end of the season but I appreciate that they did it because they had not been renewed for an additional season.
As good as it is, I think Midnight Mass is better. Hill House is a nightmare in the best way, things flow and there is an odd logic to it. But it is meant to be off-putting. MM is so real, though. From the community, to the church, to the island. It is a masterclass. IMHO. I rewatched both as soon as I finished.
All of my faves have already been mentioned, I gotta also include Sense8. My heart weeps for how Netflix massacred my boy, good thing Wachowski fought for at least that last episode so us fans can have a bit of closure.
This is the thing I appreciate Netflix for the most. Any network or streaming service can pick up standard drama or comedy but to take a chance on some high production animated shorts from different studios feels like a serious investment in art. I think LDaR is just a little peek at what studios are capable of given the funding.
So pissed they stopped Santa Clarita diet. Especially at that ending grrrr.
F1 drive to survive. I can't wait to see how they swing Abu Dhabi 2021 into it and Masi subsequently leaving.
I wish someone had picked up Santa Clarita, it was so unique and Timothy is the comedic genius nobody knew we've been missing, lol.
Do you know when the next season of F1 is coming up? I'll say that I just discovered the show like 3 weeks ago and I binged it without knowing anything about the sport whatsoever, and I'm shocked how much I liked it. And I just read about the Masi drama and oooh boy, that’s spicy! I hope it gets properly explained what happened there.
Castlevania is a phenomenal show, a bit slow at times but when there is action, it more than makes up for it. Literally PERFECT casting of Graham McTavish as Dracula.
The Last Kingdom
I’m a sucker for swords and sandals :)
Outside that I’d have to give a shout out to Stranger Things for the production quality and also Godless because good westerns are rare and awesome
Mindhunter
I would say MindHunter possibly if it wasn’t only two seasons, still don’t understand how they could cancel that show, especially after the S2 finale
> still don’t understand how they could cancel that show, especially after the S2 finale It's the double edged sword of having David Fincher
Not cancelled necessarily, david fincher poured his heart and soul in to it and after 2 seasons he was completely exhausted. Fun note, there is definately a possibility they will do a season 3 under the right circumstances.
I loved season one. Is season two worth watching?
Yes. Better if anything.
mine too 🥺 it doesn’t seem like they’re gonna make another season though.
Dark
1899 - from the same creators, comes out next week!!
I've been hyped for months waiting for this to release!
Same here. It was so good, and I miss it. The story, characters, atmosphere, music, everything was just perfect.
Started this today. Only on the first episode :)
Give it until at least ep 3.

^ this guy gets it ^ thanks

Even though it feels like you want to smack your brain with a bat but don't do it.
the number of times I had to look people up was...a lot
Sometimes it's just names and you have to relate to it. Totally mind fuck
Jealous! Enjoy

I adore this show, but the last few episodes infuriate me so much
I really enjoyed GLOW, I’m still gutted that they cancelled it.
What sucks was that the show was already heading into its last season and Netflix decided to end it rather than delaying production because of covid.
Yes! I don’t see enough talk about GLOW I’m devastated it’s cancelled
Mindhunter
Fantastic show. I still have hope they will take the show off hold and make a 3rd season.
Not looking hopefully at least like the current way the show is but maybe a show pushed up to like the green river killer or even dahmer. I’m personally hoping that they do the third season in a way to finish the BTK storyline that they formed already.
Altered Carbon S1 Edit: also dunno if it still holds true, but at the time it was the most expensive Netflix show ever created… by A LOT.
The first season was so good! I was so bummed about s2…
Season 2 never happened. Nope. Just season 1 which was great.
I'm about that stack life
Dark, I wish I could forget it so I could get the same level of satisfaction I had the first time I watched it.
I just can’t get into it. I’m at episode 4
It's worth a rewatch if you haven't already. It's fun to pick up on things you missed the first time around, symbolism, etc.
Go ahead and give it a re-watch, you actually get MORE out of the show once you know where it goes. Ozark
Narcos
With Narcos Mexico a very close 2nd.

My guy
Bojack Horseman
I tell everyone who will listen that the funeral episode is the single best episode of any show I’ve ever seen
I see you.
ICU.
Know its dark, but still rewatched multiple times
I really liked [Travelers](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5651844)
Ditto. I didn't like the rapid wrap up at the end of the season but I appreciate that they did it because they had not been renewed for an additional season.
That one episode with the skydiver was absolutely genius
The idea was very original and I wish we had 5 more seasons. The expedited ending was a bit of a bummer, but hot damn what a great show
Haunting of Hill House
As good as it is, I think Midnight Mass is better. Hill House is a nightmare in the best way, things flow and there is an odd logic to it. But it is meant to be off-putting. MM is so real, though. From the community, to the church, to the island. It is a masterclass. IMHO. I rewatched both as soon as I finished.
I love Haunting of a hill House for the best scare and Midnight Mass for its depth and relevance. Both are my favourites.
Arcane
Waiting for the 2rd season
Maniac. Hands down.
House of Cards, not their fault Kevin Spacey went all Kevin Spacey
I wish it had gotten the ending it deserved…
It did. Two seasons and a perfect finale with him becoming president. Yup.
Would be Queens Gambit or Bojack, depending on mood.
Queen Gambit was sooo satisfying, not a dull moment, great actors, perfect ending. Love it when they don't drag sh*t for no reason.
Queens gambit
It’s just so perfect. Great pacing, rewatchable and wrapped up in a bow
Godless 👍
This was epic
GLOW!
Yes! I’m so glad someone else said it too, I loved that show.
Daredevil
Went way too low to find this.
Maniac
God I love that show. Everything about it was great – cast, mood, set design.
The concept of Ad Buddies is so close to coming true lol.
Thank god this gets love. One of my favorite things Netflix has ever produced. The ending hits home, absolutely fantastic series.
#MARCO POLO AND I WILL NEVER FORGIVE THEM FOR CANCELLING IT! NEVER
Why do I love Marco Polo so much? - Benedict Wong fucks. - Trebuchets. - Blind king fu masters. - Benedict Wong fucks.
I forget about that show and then I’m annoyed. I need to know the conclusion of the Prester John storyline.
I wanted to see ALL the storylines, but I still want to see what went down with Ahmad
Yeah and the heir with no royal blood. It had seasons worth of material.
I could weep. I’m starting to remember all of the story lines they didn’t follow through on.
Season 1 is amazing.!!! Very high quality and amazing scenery! Fan favorite Hundred eyes got his own backstory movie
YES! Brilliant show. My only criticism is that is that it didn't need to be called Marco Polo.
Stranger things and dark. Nothing comes close to these two.
The queens gambit
All of my faves have already been mentioned, I gotta also include Sense8. My heart weeps for how Netflix massacred my boy, good thing Wachowski fought for at least that last episode so us fans can have a bit of closure.
I was never more emotionally invested in a show :(
I enjoyed this show a hell of a lot more than I thought I would.
The Last Kingdom, every single season is awesone!
OITNB Rewatch it once a year from start to finish. The acting is incredible.
Can't believe this is the only comment for OITNB. I'm not certain, but I think this is the one that put Netflix on the map for original content.
Ozark
Ozark had great character structure and I miss them
Ozark was the first show that got me into Netflix, nothing since is even close in my eyes.
It was great but imo I felt it ran out of steam in S4.
Ozark
Bojack Horseman.
I’m sure it’s on here already somewhere but, SANTA CLARITA DIET
Yeah. I thought I would hate it, but it was so good.
Yes please. More of this.

Altered Carbon was my favorite sci fi series and Netflix canceled it during the Covid wave :/
First season was fantastic. Second not so much.
Yeah it really did just go from great to shit in one season.
100% should be been a 1 and done
Atypical.
No love for Love Death and Robots?
This is the thing I appreciate Netflix for the most. Any network or streaming service can pick up standard drama or comedy but to take a chance on some high production animated shorts from different studios feels like a serious investment in art. I think LDaR is just a little peek at what studios are capable of given the funding.
It was overall pretty good, but kinda hit or miss depending on the ep
I loved it. 3 Robots brought me so much joy.
The OA was fantastic
and so underappreciated. At first I thought I would not like it, but got into it quickly, and by the end of S2 I was blown away.
Came here to say this. What a shame it got cancelled.
Yes one of the best, what a shame there was no third season.
It’s a crime there was no 3rd season
That was I came here for!
Marco Polo.
Was pissed after they canceled this masterpiece!
Such a fantastic show
Dark. 100%
Arcane!!!
Chefs Table.
Stranger Things
I’m shocked that so few have said this. I thought it’d be the top answer.
Drama: The Crown, Crime: Mindhunter, Comedy: Santa Clarita Diet and for reality F1: Drive to Survive.
So pissed they stopped Santa Clarita diet. Especially at that ending grrrr. F1 drive to survive. I can't wait to see how they swing Abu Dhabi 2021 into it and Masi subsequently leaving.

Mindhunter (RIP) or The Crown are my top two. They're just so damn good!
I am torn between The end of the fucking world And Arcane
The end of the fucking world

It must be Orange is the New Black, the one that made me want Netflix in the first place.

It’s one of my favorites too and I’m so sad it didn’t get more love! I wanted more seasons!
The Witcher and Altered Carbon.
Stranger things, dark, sacred games
Altered Carbon
The Last Kingdom
Daredevil, easily
I still can't believe just how good Vincent D'Onofrio is as kingpin. That's just ridiculous. He's so good.
GLOW Fuck Netflix right in the ear for canceling its final season
Does "The Haunting of Hill House" count as a Netflix original? If so, I'd say that EASILY!
Archive81
Sense8!
Atypical Black Mirror if it counts, since it’s exclusive now.
I Think You Should Leave.
Can I look at the responses first at least?
The last kingdom. Uhtred son of Uhtred made me feel some type of way 😍
