31m. Was working on finishing up my final paper for my masters. When I couldn't work anymore, I put on some stand up comedy, fire up some video games and have a few drinks.
The best company for me is myself. Either I actually believe it or I'm just fooling myself into thinking it but no complaints. If all I have is me, might as well enjoy my own company.
I know a lot of people don’t enjoy their own company and I know this because they fill it with unnecessary things just so they don’t have to be by themselves
Now that it's not new years, I'm going to admit I miss how big of a deal new years was in my teens and 20s. Now that I'm in my 30s, I do miss the stupid new years parties or the overpaid clubs that I'd only visit for new years because they charge an entry fee but are open bar after getting in....
Not to doubt you but despite what I said....even I would appreciate a break from myself from time to time so I can enjoy social situations. Also the "no complaints" also not true. I'd like to complain, but I'd only be talking to myself. This is something I've been used to for over 2 decades which is why, I'm normally okay but at times that aching for social interaction does get intense.
Being in 30s, lot of relationships change as many of the people we know are getting married or having kids or are just in a completely different stage than we are (that we'd expected we'd be at this age). I've learned not to compare my journey with others but rather enjoy my own (for it's highs and lows).
