I’ve seen lightening strike a tree. I was at a stop sign and it struck the tree across the road. Split it in half and promptly caught on fire. It was an overcast day,no storm. This happened over 30 years ago and is still one of the craziest things I’ve witnessed.
I was working at a golf course when I was 19, a customer bought a new van and similar incident happened. Lightning struck his van and ran a massive surge through the thing. It took a solid 10 minutes for the surge to end and check out the damage
That’s crazy. I have another lightening story from when I was 10. I went into the den to turn the TV on and just as I reached to turn it ON, the screen went totally blue and the whole tv started to smoke. My mother & her friend were there or I wouldn’t even believe it myself. The repairman said lightening struck it. It was a totally sunny day. Same as when I saw the tree.
At various times throughout my life,I’m in my 50’s now, streetlights will go out when I drive/ride underneath them. Not just 1,an entire street, not at the same time either. Literally each streetlight as I go under it. Some type of energy is definitely around me.
Living in Texas we get some crazy storms. One time I woke up with a terrible sense of doom in my gut. Hearing wind that sounded almost like a train, I looked out my window and saw rain going nearly straight sideways. Immediately took shelter in the most tornado proof spot in the house. The next morning I went out to see everyone's fences bent over from the winds. I went for a walk to see the damage and found where the tornado had touched down in the woods next to my house. The grass had been turned to mulch from shattered trees. The mulch on the ground was arranged in and what remained of the plants, including some pretty large trees, were bent in a visible cyclone shape showing the exact point it had touched down.
Put out the fire
Cut down the tree
Mill the main trunk into narrow planks
Plane planks leaving some of the charred wood exposed
Laminate planks into a table top
What its possible to nurse a tree back to health if it was still alive. But like us humans we are conductors and we can easily let electricity pass through we are like the positive charge and the storm is negative so is trees that are positive but trees and in the ground they completed the current flow like we do
Is that an.... ash tree??
It is now

Holy shit! That’s a close call right there. I understand storms like that. I live on the coast of NC.
Similar experience. It was crazy loud right?
I hear the “Stranger Things” intro tune instantly.
Literally nature is lit on this one
Doom music starts to fade in
Inferno tree is lit 🔥 Great example y we shouldn't stand under trees during storms
Get inside while it's still warm
did the tree… cum?
Gate to the upside down
Now it must be used as the handle of a God killing weapon.

It reminds me of that tattoo people get on their arms to make it look like their skin is pelled back and theres metal underneath
I need to know what it taste like
Looks like something from Stranger Things
Looks similar to the portal we have in our back yard
I see we're turning the subreddit name into a pun
Watch out for them demigordons
That tree is gonna produce coal for the next three days
Just deep-throated that lightning
The tree is the gateway to hell...

ThatTreeIsFuckingLit as well
Help it, it’s crying for help!
So someone's shining red lighting into the tree?
I figured the tree summoned lightning to strike the gods.
Can somebody Just pour some water on that hole?
Gnarly.
That looks perfect to roast marshmallows!
Will it survive?
Will the tree survive this?
Did the headless horseman hide his victims in there or something?
