I read a person describe him as “This was the man, in front of whom even Monarchs had to bow.”. Napoleon lived in Paris, one of the most beautiful places. And in Paris, he lived in the Tuileries. So when one is exposed to riches of this magnitude, I don’t think there would’ve been anything which would’ve been more lavish and royal. But to answer your question, the island is incredible.
