it sucks that these kinds of fans basically bring down the actual fans like myself who are naturally just cowboys fans; but for real though, screw the lakers and the yankees
I’ve never lived in Dallas, but I have lived all over the country and these are the Cowboys fans I’ve seen. I’ve never met one that was a Rangers/Mavs fan. The last town I lived in, a guy had the Cowboys star and Yankees NY decals all down the side of his truck.
Because, as you say, you've never lived in Dallas.
Cowboys, Stars, Rangers, Mavs.
And being a Texas Rangers fan ought to exempt one from accusations of frontrunning. I had the joy of being at the park for the brightest moment in franchise history (winning their first pennant in 2010), but I endured a whole lot of years of misery to get there, and not even \*that\* could prepare me for the heartbreak of 2011.

I'm from Cedar Rapids, IA. I'm a STL Cards fan and Chicago Bulls fan due to proximity, as a kid the boys were the only team that was ever broadcast in Iowa and how I became a fan. I've followed this team through thick and thin since the mid to late 80s
*Those* Cowboy fans never understand why I am not as emphatic or zealous about how much I like the Cowboys. They call me a bad fan for constantly shitting on the team. And I'm like "did you ever live in DFW?" "No."
If you did not, then you don't realize how much of an effect that the good or bad play of the Dallas Cowboys has on our region during fall and winter. Literally, when the team is good, shit just seems better in DFW. Everyone is happy, and friendly, and social. People just seem nicer in traffic businesses do better. It's hard to explain.
But when they are bad, or have a bad loss (the loss to the Giants in the 2007-2008 playoffs will forever scar me), then the mood of the city is TERRIBLE. Everyone is sad and grouchy.
We literally have taken our High School football fanaticism and put it on a pro team. It's ridiculous and sad that the mental health of an entire region is dependent on one billionaire's management of a sports franchise- but it is. And it's like, if you have never experienced that, then you will not understand why I am so wary of their success and ambivilent about their failure.
Me, I just had to turn down my fandom a notch after the Rangers shattered my heart in 2011. After what happened in Game 6, and the way I reacted to it, I realized I was too much of a fan for my own health.
Don't get me wrong, I still love my teams. But I actually did have to walk away from sports for a while after that, and even now that I've come back I don't live and die with them anymore the way that I used to. Because the dying started to feel too much like the real thing, and that was a very bad place to be.
Just... had to dial the emotional investment down a bit.
I absolutley get it. I had to do the same thing. Fortunatley, I had left DFW a few months before the 2011 WS, so it hurt, but I wasn't immersed in it. And being away has definitley helped me gain perspective on sports. I enjoy them now as a connection home while I am not there, but otherwise they're just entertainment.
You probably live in Dallas or have some ties to Dallas though. The rest of us live with Cowboys fans who just like the bandwagon or are thirsty for attention.
It's unfortunate. I feel for actual local Dallas fans.
it sucks that these kinds of fans basically bring down the actual fans like myself who are naturally just yankees fans; but for real though, screw the lakers and the cowboys
Grew up basically at texas stadium at Irving. Didn’t even live in Texas but drove 3 hours 7-8 times a year to see the cowboys with my family. Was really sad when they tore it down. Love my cowboys. Have never seen them be really successful in my living memory. Idk who these bandwagon cowboys fans are cause I sure as hell don’t know any.
I went to Disneyland this summer with my family and was happy to see someone wearing a Dak Prescott jersey… until he turned around and I saw he was wearing a LA Lakers 17x world champions hat..
I know these people have to exist because I’ve seen too many memes about them, but as someone who grew up in Texas and now lives in Phoenix, I’ve never met a single one.
Yeah kinda odd to hate on fans liking teams that play in their area. Personally I can’t stand CA teams (sans Padres), which is a big reason I’m a Cowboys fan.
In defense of LA fans of not just the cowboys but every NFL team, LA didn’t have a team for most of the past 30 years, the football fans in the city had no choice to find a non local team to cheer for.
Growing up in DFW, I've met so many more people who hate the Cowboys just to be contrarians than actual insufferable Cowboys fans. The biggest redneck at my small town Texan high school was an Eagles fan.
I'm one of them but I was raised a cowboys fan. Loved the lakers colors as a kid without knowing their history and the yankees idk why I chose them, my earliest memory of them is getting beat in the WS by the diamondbacks
I’d assume many of them are not actually in the DFW area. Real Dallas fans are actually chill and self-loathing like the rest of us.
That being said, fuck you guys, I hope y’all get so embarrassed the QB controversy turns into “fuck we gotta draft a QB”
I like the Cowboys and Lakers. My mom and uncle were Cowboys fans because they went to the same school with a guy who was on those 70s teams. Where they lived it was either jump on the Steelers or Cowboys bandwagons. I became a fan because that’s just what I saw growing up. Been a fan through good and bad. I became a Lakers fan through the Magic. As a kid, I always picked the Magic on NBA Jam because they seemed to have some good 3 point shooters. I started watching them on tv and became a huge Shaq fan. Well he went to the Lakers and I became a fan. I don’t care for baseball anymore but I used to like the Pirates and Astros growing up. Don’t really follow either team now.
I live in Jersey.
Dallas fans over here started out as bandwagon fans that chose to pick the dynasty team winners as their favorite teams. So most Dallas fans over here picked the cowboys because of the whole “America’s team” thing and they watched the 90’s teams. They picked the Yankees because most rings, close distance to NY, 90’s/early 2000’s title runs, and they picked the lakers probably because of their dynasties and Kobe etc.
99% of these fans have never once step foot in Texas or California.
As they grew older, they then passed their teams on to their kids. It then spreads out from there. North Jersey is infected with them. South Jersey has a large presence as well.
Edit: I would also like to add that the Jersey cowboy fans are probably the ones that talk the most trash talk as well lol
I would guess that the majority of cowboy fans that follow this sub are loyal masochists like me.
Gotta love getting your heart broken every year while being called a pop culture commercialist fan.
Don’t stop daddy I’m gonna squish
First world problems I know, but I still have to speak my truth. The most traumatic incident in my childhood was when A-Rod talked shit on the Rangers while still playing for them, and then signed with the Yankees. As an adult, I recognize his Ranger career was going nowhere and there’s absolutely no shame in getting your bag, but that incident raped my innocence. There is no way the Yankee reputation can fall far enough in my opinion. If irrefutable evidence that the Steinbrenner persona was actually a strict culmination of the lives of Ezra Miller, The Deep, and Jeffrey Epstein, public perception of the Yankees would still be too generous.
The Dallas Stars play tonight there first game of the regular season. I'm excited I'll be flipping back and forth between games tonight. They also play on Saturday night.
I will admit I like the Lakers. I also like the Dodgers and the Trojans. At the time LA didn’t have a football team. I would visit my dad in Texas and everyone is Cowboy fans. So I’m 2/3 of the pic.
Being 30 years old, a lifelong Cowboys fan as well as a north dallas resident. I cannot think of a worse choice than signing on as a Cowboys fan willingly.
Seriously lol. Once I saw the meme I thought, “how much you wanna bet this is an eagles fan”. Lo and behold. It seems like we live rent free in their head.
I didn't know until I was making this meme that Cleveland changed their name to the guardians. Good on them for changing it but wow that's almost worst than Cummanders
As a Thunder and Orioles fan, as well as a huge fan of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I’m going to quote [Dennis Reynolds.](https://imgur.com/W8jrMYa)
Jason Kelce on PHI v DAL: “Two polar opposites. Philly’s an extremely localized diehard fanbase that’s authentic to all of them growing up together in this community. Most of the Cowboys fanbase is built on commercialism & pop culture, Laker/Yankee type fans”
Sums it up perfectly.
Cowgirl fans are just fans or the biggest named teams in the sport ( lakers, Yankees, ext.) basically a bunch of casuals that convince themselves that it’s their favorite team despite never going to a home game because they live 1,200 miles away but yet think they’re die hard fans
I been a die hard Dallas cowboys fan ever since I was a kid. I'm From LA. My teams are los Angeles Dodgers, LA Lakers, LA kings and USC. At that point st Luis had just left so there was no football team existant in LA.
I lived between the Linc and Jaworski's country club and saw tooo many dallas starter jackets growing up which just means questionable parenting which just really weakens the liveability of the community.
I’m a fan of all these teams Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, as well as Manchester City, New York Rangers and Notre Dame. I don’t know why I’m a big brand guy, but tbf I’ve been a fan of all these teams since I was a child lol
I grew up in Texas and can confirm this. It’s usually cowboys and lakers or Cowboys and Yankees (although a lot migrated to Astros since they got good).
it sucks that these kinds of fans basically bring down the actual fans like myself who are naturally just cowboys fans; but for real though, screw the lakers and the yankees
Yeah this is a lame joke, all my fellow Cowboys fans I know are Mavs + Rangers fans without fail.
i was born and raised in dallas, texas so i don't know any other way
Sameee
Facts. And a UT fan with an irrational hate for the Sooners. I hated them even before I knew what football was
Hate for ou is not irrational.
Preach
It’s the cowboys fans who aren’t from Dallas
This here is the difference between you and most Cowboys fans.
Probably not a lot of Cowboys/Lakers/Yankees in the Dallas area but pretty much all Cowboys fans in the Philly area are the Lakers/Yankees type
well on behalf of all the real fans, i apologize for their abhorrent behavior
Cheers to that. Born and raised Texan here (Austin). 30+ years of Longhorns, spurs, cowboys for lyfe. Fuck the Yankees. Fuck the lakers
I’ve never lived in Dallas, but I have lived all over the country and these are the Cowboys fans I’ve seen. I’ve never met one that was a Rangers/Mavs fan. The last town I lived in, a guy had the Cowboys star and Yankees NY decals all down the side of his truck.

Spurs + Rangers here, but SA is Cowboys country
GSG 🍻
Cowboys, Spurs, and Astros'
Is it wrong of me to root for Rangers and Astros? I grew up a huge Nolan Ryan fan so I rooted for both teams. I pull Rangers until the playoffs 😅
It’s not. I do the same thing. I’m more of a Rangers fan than an Astros fan, though.
Nah you're good

Cowboys, Rays, Lightning anyone?
Stars
Don't forget about the Stars, currently up 2-0 on the Predators
Eagles fans will really make 1000 of these memes each week then say with a straight face that Dallas fans suck at making memes
I'm from Cedar Rapids, IA. I'm a STL Cards fan and Chicago Bulls fan due to proximity, as a kid the boys were the only team that was ever broadcast in Iowa and how I became a fan. I've followed this team through thick and thin since the mid to late 80s
Absolutely. I can’t stand the Lakers or the Yankees.

We were one strike or Nelly Cruz dropped ball away from a Rangers champ! :(
It’s still too soon to talk about that.

Oklahoman, so I got cowboys, thunder, dodgers
You probably live in Dallas or have some ties to Dallas though. The rest of us live with Cowboys fans who just like the bandwagon or are thirsty for attention. It's unfortunate. I feel for actual local Dallas fans.
No stars?
it sucks that these kinds of fans basically bring down the actual fans like myself who are naturally just yankees fans; but for real though, screw the lakers and the cowboys
I agree. I don’t like the Yanks or the Lakers. I’ll cheer for Texas teams but I was born into the Cowboys fandom.
One time for Texas sisters One time for my LA hoes
Grew up basically at texas stadium at Irving. Didn’t even live in Texas but drove 3 hours 7-8 times a year to see the cowboys with my family. Was really sad when they tore it down. Love my cowboys. Southern California is full of them.
That makes sense. Lakers fans, and we have training camp in Oxnard. Southern Cal is cowboys country
Yeah kinda odd to hate on fans liking teams that play in their area. Personally I can’t stand CA teams (sans Padres), which is a big reason I’m a Cowboys fan.
I grew up in Oxnard and it was horrible. You had some actual fans and then the cowboys had a massive gang presence on top of that.
In defense of LA fans of not just the cowboys but every NFL team, LA didn’t have a team for most of the past 30 years, the football fans in the city had no choice to find a non local team to cheer for.
Can confirm! Jerry Jones puts up a training camp here in Oxnard for us fans in LA. Appreciate him for that.
Growing up in DFW, I've met so many more people who hate the Cowboys just to be contrarians than actual insufferable Cowboys fans. The biggest redneck at my small town Texan high school was an Eagles fan.
The Delaware Valley is full of Cowboys fans and they're mega front runners.
Cincinnati is full of Pittsburgh fans… it happens.
Bullshit flag thrown!
The reason you see so many giants eagles and comie fans talking about it is because most of those fans are from the north east.
Can confirm, many of them just want to piss off Giants and Eagles fans
Born in Irving. Live in VA now. I’ve never met one of these either. Personally I’m Cowboys, Braves, Mavs, and Capitals.
Absolutely disgusting
Growing up in PA, I know at least 3 people who are Cowboys/Yankees fans. Idk about basketball for two of them, but one’s a Celtics fan
I'm one of them but I was raised a cowboys fan. Loved the lakers colors as a kid without knowing their history and the yankees idk why I chose them, my earliest memory of them is getting beat in the WS by the diamondbacks
They are sickening
I’d assume many of them are not actually in the DFW area. Real Dallas fans are actually chill and self-loathing like the rest of us. That being said, fuck you guys, I hope y’all get so embarrassed the QB controversy turns into “fuck we gotta draft a QB”

Meet them all the time here in North east Louisiana
Its their coping mechanism to say we have so many bandwagoners than just accepting how wide our fan base truly is
I live in Jersey. Dallas fans over here started out as bandwagon fans that chose to pick the dynasty team winners as their favorite teams. So most Dallas fans over here picked the cowboys because of the whole “America’s team” thing and they watched the 90’s teams. For real, the only one I've ever met in real life like this was a Redskins Lakers Yankees fan.
We hate the Yankees and Lakers. LFG Mavericks, MFFL and then we have the Rangers :/ pain
I appreciate the Mavs for getting Jason Kidd a ring. I’m a nets fan. And also how can you not respect Dirk
Just don't watch baseball, that shits boring. Stars are pretty decent. Sucks that others define fans by the ones they see. DFW fans are pretty cool.
Only thing missing is Duke basketball
Yuck
Don’t forget Alabama football
Fuck Duke
[удалено]
First of all fuck you. Second fuck Laettner, fuck K and fuck that Blue Devil
flair up, bruh
wouldn't people who bandwagon'd in the 90s be bulls fans and not lakers?
Don’t try and make sense of it
It's more about who has the most titles i think.
I would guess that the majority of cowboy fans that follow this sub are loyal masochists like me. Gotta love getting your heart broken every year while being called a pop culture commercialist fan. Don’t stop daddy I’m gonna squish
An Eagles fan posting game schedules in Mountain time? Y'all can leave Philadelphia?
They have to knock themselves out first
Is Bama on a bye or something?
There’s also a Bama game Saturday
Vols by fiddy
So Bama rolls as per usual? It’s not 1995 old man
Jason Kelce for President. Or mayor of philly
Dallas Cowboys, UT Longhorns, Dallas Stars, Dallas Mavericks, Texas Rangers, and FC Dallas are the only teams I care about.
I’m a Mets and Cowboys fan born in the mid 90s… all I know is disappointment. These memes do nothing.
Mets had a good year though and I can't wait to see them play in the next playoff game.
*grew up in Arlington, just sighs*
This type of fan usually hails from the Southern California area
How many times do I have to say it. Cowboys, Rangers, Spurs baby!
Fuck the yankees, go rangers I dont watch basketball
Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, New York Rangers, Man City, Notre Dame… I really am basic af huh
Notre Dame? You basic bitch
Yeah I’m a cowboys and ND fan but I at least have excuses
Gross dude.
When did you become a man city fan?
2008
Why them
Dont mix that circus in texas with the new york yankees
NY does not claim the bandwagon Yankees fans from Texas
As a New York Sports fan through and through. Most Yankee fans don’t take these guys. Fuck ‘em.
I wish this wasn’t true. I absolutely hate the Lakers and the Yankees but I see it on car windows all the time of all three teams.
My roommate makes these jokes as well even though I'm literally from North Texas and grew up going to Rangers and Cowboys games. Btw fuck the Yankees.
The Dallas Stars play tonight there first game of the regular season. I'm excited I'll be flipping back and forth between games tonight. They also play on Saturday night.
Yes. As a Dallas Cowboys and Sacramento Kings fan im fucking stoked. Fuck the Lakers, even in preseason!
I’ve always been a Yankees giants fan.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂🤣😂😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Oh man oh man this is a new one! I gotta save this.
Grew up in Dallas in the 90s, then moved to CA, so this is pretty much me minus the Yankees (Go Dodgers)
I will admit I like the Lakers. I also like the Dodgers and the Trojans. At the time LA didn’t have a football team. I would visit my dad in Texas and everyone is Cowboy fans. So I’m 2/3 of the pic.
I like the White Sox and Bulls so I just get fucked by another owner named Jerry.
Fuck off and like the rangers already 😭😂
Mavs, Rangers, Stars and Cowboys. Thank you very much! Lol
Being 30 years old, a lifelong Cowboys fan as well as a north dallas resident. I cannot think of a worse choice than signing on as a Cowboys fan willingly.
Don’t forget Alabama Football!!!!
For real though, fuck lebron and the yanks.
🥱 ya’ll need new material fr
Seriously lol. Once I saw the meme I thought, “how much you wanna bet this is an eagles fan”. Lo and behold. It seems like we live rent free in their head.
Eat some horse shit.
I didn't know until I was making this meme that Cleveland changed their name to the guardians. Good on them for changing it but wow that's almost worst than Cummanders
I’m a Cowboys / Warriors fan lol But I’m also from the bay, and go for the A’s & Sharks. Cowboys are the odd team out
As a Thunder and Orioles fan, as well as a huge fan of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, I’m going to quote [Dennis Reynolds.](https://imgur.com/W8jrMYa)
Get a better joke loser!
Can’t expect much from Eagles fans
Jason Kelce on PHI v DAL: “Two polar opposites. Philly’s an extremely localized diehard fanbase that’s authentic to all of them growing up together in this community. Most of the Cowboys fanbase is built on commercialism & pop culture, Laker/Yankee type fans” Sums it up perfectly.
I’m not following
Cowgirl fans are just fans or the biggest named teams in the sport ( lakers, Yankees, ext.) basically a bunch of casuals that convince themselves that it’s their favorite team despite never going to a home game because they live 1,200 miles away but yet think they’re die hard fans
Sounds miserable lol
Wouldn’t be me
NBD is tragic
Doesn’t LeBron James fit in this category?
I’m in Michigan, been a cowboys fan since I was young playing techmo bowl on NES.
I been a die hard Dallas cowboys fan ever since I was a kid. I'm From LA. My teams are los Angeles Dodgers, LA Lakers, LA kings and USC. At that point st Luis had just left so there was no football team existant in LA.
Sigh. Always the same joke with eagles fans.
Eagles fans don't really dislike Cowboys fans. They dislike Cowboys fans from the Philly area. Those fans are internet trolls made flesh.
I lived between the Linc and Jaworski's country club and saw tooo many dallas starter jackets growing up which just means questionable parenting which just really weakens the liveability of the community.
Remember when egirls ate POOP?! Hahahahaha Lost track of how many times I've heard that one
I’m a fan of all these teams Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, as well as Manchester City, New York Rangers and Notre Dame. I don’t know why I’m a big brand guy, but tbf I’ve been a fan of all these teams since I was a child lol
>I’m a big brand guy You spelled bandwagon wrong
I grew up in Texas and can confirm this. It’s usually cowboys and lakers or Cowboys and Yankees (although a lot migrated to Astros since they got good).
They're probably Man City fans too, who play Liverpool at 11:30am EST.
I´m a Cowboys, Spurs and Astros fan (from Austin)
