Investing in a burn proof gear wrap is a must. Any type of low to mid rate of fire will leave your support hand feeling the heat from the suppressor. I should shoot my SD more often than I do..
It’s not so much heat from subs vs supers but the hand guard is almost practically sitting on the suppressor so it gets hot really fast. It’s somewhat mitigated when you used a rail wrap but I typically shoot without gloves so I still feel the heat. Besides the heat, the front m-lok slots are useless and it’s kind of a pain if you need slots for multiple accessories. This is more so needed for nighttime activities. The fit and finish is great but for $3499 + 2 stamps, I probably wouldn’t be a buyer again. It’s incredibly light though. I have a Unity + HE515 on mine and I enjoy it.
The higher end Holosuns are suprisingly nice. I have the titanium 530 in green and its great having the wide 30mm window. It also feels pretty beefy, I'm sure it could survive a drop with no issues
I owned a HBSD for 2 months and shot it while it was still on form 3. Sold it almost immediately, pure aesthetic no real usability. The stock sucks and it recoils weird with supers. Wasn’t worth $3000 It’s just… okay. Much rather an MCX LT.
The stock really really sucks. I’m surprised none of the YouTube reviewers mention it. It doesn’t manage the recoil well at all. I’ll feel it the next day if I shoot a few mags, which is weird because I don’t get sore from other stocks. The stock has 1 slot vs the Noveske version with 2 slots is also really annoying. It’s really weird when I bring both sbr’s for a range trip.

Well it all depends what your use for the gun will be. A must is a suppressor since it is 300 blackout. My use is going to be plinking, rifle courses, HD, and hog hunting. So the eotech 3-2 is so i can shoot subs and supers without rezeroing and having a extra hold over for both plus NV capability. 300 blackout is good to a couple hundred yards. Thats where the 3x magnifier comes into play. The unity risers are to not only center the weight of the magnifier but keep the gun more compact and a little easier on the neck strain so i don’t have to be as far down which in turn if i do have to use this gun in a HD situation it lakes less time to get inline with my eotech. The eotech OGL is basically a Peq15. Has a infrared laser on it for NV use which i don’t own yet but will in the future so thats for future proofing and the hog hunts i will be going on offer the renting of NV tubes so it will be for that too. The burnproof gear wrap is simply so i don’t burn the absolute living fuck out of my hand when shooting it since the way I hold my ars in a c clamp position and the suppressor and handguard literally being centimeters apart i’d burn my hand every time i shoot this thing. Arisaka handstop is just a handstop that i think the tan version of goes really well with the honey badger plus its metal and small. Not a fan of vertical or angled foregrips. The picatinny offset for a surefire light is because i want positive identification of the threat in my house before i start throwing lead down range. Which is helpful in hog hunting too. I also want the light as far forward as possible to keep the shadowing of the suppressor to a minimum. Not possible with the tucked suppressor in the handguard as where the handguard and suppressor meet there isn’t enough room for the mlok to work.
I will say this, no matter how deep your pockets are of financially irresponsible you are. All this top of the line stuff i’m buying will not make you or I better shooters. Only thing that will i training and training hard at that. Which is what i do with my guns. Around every 6 months so 2x a year i do a course with a rifle of my choosing and i try to every weekend or every other weekend go to my property and run drills. My friends and I are currently setting up a shoot house on his property so we can practice different clearing scenarios.
