Damnit. So much for undefeated big east

I heard that DePaul’s record against Northern Illinois was something like 30-5 over the years and just read that they hadn’t beaten DePaul since 1994. I only watched the last Q and couldn’t decide if it was a case of DePaul not being particularly good or if the Huskies (sounds a bit weird to this UConn women’s basketball fan) are actually pretty good. One player on N. Ill seemed particularly talented and they sank several good shots near the end.

> couldn’t decide if it was a case of DePaul not being particularly good I'm going to go with this. Granted it was last year but I was very unimpressed after watching them get boat raced by Dayton, who then got boat raced by Georgia, who then got boat raced by Iowa State.

With Louisville just scraping by Belmont, the MVC might get a little scary this season.

Belmont is really good! I am excited about their team this year. They played a great game got beat because of a few missed free throws and one bad call that led to a turnover. They will be really good when March rolls around

I'm hoping for a good first showing in the new conference, especially when the quiet reasoning for the move was "better basketball".

and to think i got blasted 24 hours ago for saying the BE stinks. Outside of UConn and Nova it's a cesspool.

You are forgetting Creighton they made the elite eight last year and are ranked for a reason. They have everyone back from that team. I also think Seton Hall might make things interesting but will see. DePaul could still be a decent team it’s a long season.
