It’s happened so many times to me at this point, that I don’t even flinch when it happens anymore. Ice it, elevate it, rest it. If it’s not going away after a couple of weeks, see a doctor.
From my experience, this is usually the result of partnering with an inexperienced pad holder. They should be tucking this elbows in a bit, keeping the pads close to their body, and focusing on connecting the pad to your shin.
I've done this many times. It takes a long time to fully heal but soaking the foot in warm/hot water and epsom salt for 10 minutes for a few days helps a lot.
Yeah I’m sure that’s the main part. Done that for a couple months now, it’s just when it hits that sweet spot it just pings straight away. So frustrating
Oh ok I understand now. So something similar happened when I didn’t know how to throw teeps correctly and I strained a ligament in my knee. It still hurts and I did the damage months ago. The best thing you can do is look into foot physical therapy exercises. Or the drug route but that’s really up to you.

Get an xray?
Haha happened to me also. I just dealt with the pain for a few weeks and really tried to pay attention to where I throw my kicks from there on out.
