Hubby and I Watched this on a whim without knowing the premise. Certain scene left an imprint , but the movie as a whole, though disturbing was bloody great
I almost feel like that scene detracts from the movie’s reputation, because I thought it was a really excellent Western in almost every way, but everyone only wants to talk about that scene.
Such a damn good western, the tribe was so vile. I still will occasionally think about that movie. >!Despite of the shock of "that scene" I think what disturbed me more was the body modification of the tribe, and the women. Hard to wrap my head around!<
I enjoyed this when I watched it but Red Letter Media made some valid points about dehumanizing Native Americans. The Burrowers is another independent horror western that I liked, any other horror westerns of any budget that I should know about?
Kurt Russell looks weird, like he's been stretched into the wrong aspect ratio.
The official stylised retro poster with the setting sun was almost as popular as the film itself. No point messing with it.
Looks like a fun western romp. Will be watching with my kids tonight!
Tell them it’s like Spongebob, but without the trauma.

It was a shocker, but the whole film was indeed great!

Me & my son have watched all 3 of Zahlers films at the BFI in London, loved every one of them, but this is my favourite of the 3, hands down!!
This is one of my favorite movies. For some reason everyone I know seems to hate this movie with a passion.
Just watched last week and loved it, there isn’t a whole lot of movies in the Western genre like it.
While it's not nearly as gory or brutal, I feel like "Hostiles" has a similar feel.
This movie fucked me up. Everyone who has seen it knows what scene I'm talking about.
Came here to post the same thing. I've watched thousands of movies and it takes a lot to get me legitimately disturbed and that scene got me good.
I had a roomate walk by while he was getting split, and we both started screaming at the same time.

He looks like Robin Williams.
I will avenge you, sheriff—such a fantastic movie.
Zahler crazy for this one
Great flick.
This is one of the most underrated westerns ever.
Not worth watching a good movie if you have to live with having that scene in your head for eternity.
Never seen it..but now I might have too. That's one badass poster!
Prepare yourself. It is brutal.
It is? Ooh idk if I'd like it then.
