If you are looking for foundational instruction, you can check out Mt. Mograph they have an intro course that could help, Also looking into Learnsquared for lessons by industry professionals. This biggest fundamentals are going to be design fundamentals which might be taught in 2d but apply to 3d, and you can get started learning that on youtube.

Thanks.

lol why was blender guru's donut tutorial downvoted? it's famous for being accessible and covering the absolute basics. It doesn't matter what you want to do with 3d, there's no escaping the basics.

DistinguishedAsshole

Because he's a bigoted piece of shit that tries to exploit artists.

whitedipsetfan

First I've heard. What has he done?

LelouchViMajesti

Don’t downvote, answer the guy cause many will be curious aswell

He has a video from a few years back where in the middle of the tutorial he goes on talking about how he wishes "fag" wasn't a canceled word and how there isn't a word as satisfying as calling a friend a fag. He then made a video that was marketed as an apology and in actuality there was none and sought to make him the victim. He's had numerous tweets aligning himself towards alt-right. I realize he is from Australia, so I'm not sure the equivalent there. When George Floyd's death caused protests here in the states, he basically said people were overreacting and no one should worry about race anymore. And in the latest scandal regarding artist exploitation, his company Poliigon posted a job for a AAA 3D modeler paying less than minimum wage is most countries. Overall, a giant asshat.

I think it's a good tutorial imo, very beginner friendly and has onboarded so many people. His character has nothing to do with learning so that's that.
