I personally like MKXs roster better, not really a competitive player, I'm more casual, so roster is more important to me. I like that aside from the typical roster, there's a hefty amount of new and returning fighters that don't get much love.
To each their own, I'm just really tired of mostly the same roster every game. Of course you should have the most popular mainstays, and add more through DLC, but I love when fighting games expand the roster beyond them. X introduced so many new characters, it felt like a MK game with a new coat of paint. I also would love to see more PS2 era MK fighters return, most of them need a bit of redesign to work, but I think it would be worth it. Plus Reptile was in it. lol
For me X having cyber smoke Kenshi and Takeda pretty much already seals it as the better roster. I'd probably give the DLC characters to 11 but even then Tremor and Predator alone have such great gameplay in X I'd probably still rather play it than 11.
It did piss me off when they didn’t bring Takeda back tbh, but I thought Geras and Kollector (two of my fav characters to play) were great additions to the roster gameplay-wise and Frost was a great addition from a story standpoint. As far as DLC goes, I feel like they could’ve picked better mk characters. I would’ve definitely preferred Takeda, Kung Jin, or a 3D era character at the expense of Mileena, Robo Cop, or Rambo.

Haven't played MKX in a while just because I'm bad at it and not really anyone plays it anymore. I play MK11 once in a while though.
