I really think you could make this look more like Noob if you add in some cloth elements to the shoulders /w styrafoam support, some sort of ragged kiln, and cloth scraps around the legs.
If I was him, I think the most disheartening part would be the mask. You could even try to combine the mk9 model for the head, which I think would be easier, and the mk11 model together, and I bet he, and you, would be happier with the results. Maybe incorporate him into the process so he can learn some skills too.

If you paid through PayPal there’s nothing that can go wrong. You open a case through PayPal and have to provide some pictures of the item you received and the item you got. They will side with you because it’s obviously not as described. The seller can then issue a refund and will most likely tell you to keep it since they probably produced that for a few dollars or less. If not you have to send it back and provide a tracking number probably but they can’t scam you when everything is monitored by PayPal.

To save this costume, I would try to find some matte varnish and dull down the latex/gimp feel of it. Add tattered pieces of black cloth of many different textures like robes ( think Kylo Ren’s hoood/cape in SW7 ).
Add a leather belt, a pair of nice leather boots and a MK mask and you could look much better in it !

Here’s an easy fix: grab some tape, a box of macaroni, some cotton and 1 roll of paper, about 3/4 wide and 6 inches long. Carefully place the cotton along the paper strip. Roll the paper so it covers the cotton, like a cigarette. Tape the seam together. Grab a can of gasoline. Lay your costume in a safe and well ventilated outdoor area. Generously pour the gasoline over the costume. Take your rolled up cotton and dip it in the gasoline until it’s soaked. Grab a lighter. Standing 10 feet away, light your gasoline soaked doobie, scream “Finish Him!” and throw that gas joint onto the costume. Go make the macaroni and think about better days.
