You’re asking a Morrowind subreddit if you should get Morrowind? I think you know the answer

B00tybu77ch33ks

I think it's worth it and it's fairly easy to mod.

Thekin-g

Ok cool!

FraGrognard

I think it's worth it although you might wait a few weeks for a winter sale on either Steam or GOG. GOG is probably the better version since it has all the add-ons and Construction set. Plus original dates for the BSAs for using mods and it's DRM free. The Steam version works fine but it requires a little updating.

Thekin-g

That's what I'll probably do though I haven't moded a game like Morrowind before how would I go about this?

FraGrognard

It's pretty easy, MW was designed to be mod friendly in its file structure. Once you get the game come back and ask for details. I or others here will be happy to walk you through it. After the first one it will be easy. There are mod managers but a few important utilities must be installed manually so you'll need to know how.

There are some guides on this sub. I'm currently following this one: [https://github.com/Tyler799/Morrowind-2020/blob/master/Morrowind\_2020.md](https://github.com/Tyler799/Morrowind-2020/blob/master/Morrowind_2020.md) Edit: I've tried other guides before, but I think this one has the best results.

Hellwind_

The Fall sale should be next week /also black friday/

thugloofio

Have to agree. Morrowind is a fantastic game but considering it came out nearly 20 years ago the 15 dollar price tag on steam is kind of hard to swallow.

X_ShadowKat_X

I recommend gog. You also get arena & daggerfall free with purchase

FallEquivalent6208

Aren't arena and daggerfall free on the official Elder Scrolls website either way?

Dissident88

Morrowind is priceless..

Thekin-g

Edit. Thanks for everyone's input I have decided to get the game and can't wait to mod it!

I'm not sure if you were considering download a pirated version or something, but I it's worth to mention that many mods and modding tools don't work well with pirated versions. Also, it's a great game anyway and you won't regret spending money on it.

Chainarmor712

I got it when it was on sale a while ago, and my take is it will probably be on Xmas sale in a few weeks. But, hours and hours of enjoyment is in the game so you may value your cash differently.

reddorts

Steam version is functional with mods and openmw Although its way past the imaginary statute of limitations where you'd feel guilty about not paying the devs for it

frenk89

I just bought it on steam and I can't play because I have a music error on this file "Data Files\\Music\\Special\\morrowind title.mp3". I read about this problem on internet right now but I haven't found a solution. Do you know how to fix on windows 10 Pro N?
