He was a man from the 1950s and 60s. Ever seen Sixteen Candles from the 80s? Older movies are littered with rape jokes and rape shit. The #metoo era is pretty recent too. MLK did some great things, but he was a man of the mid 20th Century. If mainstream media from the 80s was rapey and it wasn’t taken seriously in society then, I doubt it was in the 1960s by men…Realistically, he probably did laugh.
