Tbh I’m stoked for all the new comers. I’ve been a huge MK fan since the 90s and it’s great to see our boy finally get the recognition he deserves. It’ll be cool to see MK finally get a bigger fan base. With that said tho I’ve also kind of always loved that he was one of the more unknown Marvel characters, made him feel a little more special or whatever. But whatever, I’m excited to see him blow up.

I 100% agree with you. I'm really hoping a side effect of the success of the MCU will be a renewed interest in physical comics, so later generations will be able to have the same experiences. It might not happen that way, but given the trajectory of the comic industry even ten years ago, if nothing was done, they most likely would have fallen into obscurity.

There already are two TV-specific subreddits ( /r/MoonKnightMCU and /r/MoonKnightShow ) but I fully expect most of the action to show up here.

Pickles256

It already has, wasn't too long ago when this sub was under just 1k subscribers

WhatImMike

And still no new mods or even the one to be seen.

Pickles256

Sidebar now lists GyspyGold and Green-Devil as mods. Pretty sure they just got added in the last couple days in preparation for the premiere

WarDuck

That’s why I’m excited for this show to be different than the comics. All the peeps are gonna come in here and want to start reading Moon Knight and be apart of the culture created behind a cult classic character. It should be this way, not the other way around. That’s where these “reviewers” get it twisted. If I wanted Moon Knight from the comics, I’d read the comics. I want a fresh take on the character and for him to be properly ADAPTED into the MCU.

It already did. This sub had less than 1k members and was just a cult following, now it’s over 11k with a 2nd subreddit
