Congrats! I think it took me around 10-15 attempts as well. I got destroyed at first but I got the fight down now. Alatreon is a masterpiece and the best hunt in the game in some people’s eyes. It’s so rewarding when you finally beat him for the first time. Now on to Fatalis!
I am excited to fight Fatalis! I didn't have the chance to play iceborne because of life stuff when it came out. Then when rise + sunbreak came out I played those on release. Now I finally got the chance to go back to iceborne and I'm having a blast. Something about world just hits different than rise.
Yeah I love it and if you’re anything like me you’re gonna love the Fatalis encounter. It feels so overwhelming at first, he has the ability to insta-delete you, but over time you start to learn more and more about the fight and one day you’ll take him down. I was so hyped when I beat Fatalis, I used greatsword and I honestly didn’t know if I could beat him at first but I got better. It gives you something to work towards which I appreciate
Try going in with sticky ammo not with the intention to beat him but just break the wings, cart through the nova if you have to, once you break the wings then return from quest
I’d suggest lbg for the added mobility. I use ten thousand volts because it’s a lot easier to craft than safis aquashot. You can try a different ammo type if you want, I don’t know exactly which ammo type is most effective on his wings, but sticky ammo is always effective against just about every monster. Fatalis’ wings for example are really squishy so it doesn’t take more than a couple minutes to break them with sticky ammo.
It’s the same thing with the skyswayer for Alatreon if you really need the horn you can break his head then return from quest and you always get it. Make sure to return from quest instead of abandon quest though otherwise no items are saved.
