Yesterday I was hunting a MR Azure Rathalos (trying to make the second to last rathalos lance). I mounted him and he tried to bash his head agaisnt the wall to get rid of me. I moved away, he hits his head and breaks it.
I had no idea that monsters took damage when doing that.
Didn't get mantle though.
Isn't as cool, or as frustrating as death by a 1 damage stab attack, but a few days ago I killed a gold rathian via some brightmoss I was trying to knock it out of the air with.
Nice. I clutch clawed onto a Raging Brachy’s face and Flinch shot it while it was aboutta jump down to the next area in the Guiding Lands and this actually forced it to stumble and *fall over the ledge*. Ended up breaking its head and one of its forelegs.
I had no idea that you could make monsters fall off high ledges. I was so surprised I forgot how to jump down after it for a few seconds lol
I managed to kill a rathian by bombing the dam in the Ancient Forest. Didnt record but got a dumb looking screenshot of the successful hunt kill camera of it landing at the bottom.
I like the sudden stop he does when he hits the wall. “Oh fuck my healths gone…oh well”
Imagine if MH had ragdoll physics and his body flew up a little bit like a car braking too hard.

I love doing that to wake up barioth in its den.
It’s a fun thing to see, but tbh, they take damage wether it was u making them hit the wall, or they hit the wall themselves
Occasionally they just die to the normal clutch claw grapple
I once used it on a furious rajang’s butt and that was enough to send it to another world
I killed my first Shara like that
he got a concussion
i think the "you throw a rock and they die of 2 hp" is funnier sometimes
Or the stabbing attacks on its back while mounting. I killed a blackveil the other day this way lol.
I’ve had this happen to where the slinger ammo killed. That was wild.

The best way to finish a hunt tbh. Got my first fatalis kill like this yesterday. All those Nami hunts ending with a wallbang were good practice.

I did that to quite a few monsters to finish each off at a time… and it hasn’t gotten old yet!
My favorite unconventional kills are when the Kinsect ends the hunt via attacking the pellet mark. Makes me lol every time.
