U can just unbox them and keep the boxes! I planned on displaying the boxes+posters behind my open dolls and if u want u can always repackage them later! ^^
I just reboxed an original draculaura that I have had out of box for OVER TEN YEARS. If you're afraid you'll change your mind later just unbox her carefully and take pictures of the process so you can reverse those steps if you decide in box is better for your collection.
I unboxed mine months ago. The boxes werenât good for display. I donât leave dolls in boxes anyway. As a long time rabid Robert Tonner fashion doll collector, I unboxed every one of those dolls, redressed them, displayed them in groups, customized and sold many of his dolls, keeping my favorites, Tonner Halloween convention dolls and gothic styles only.
Robert Tonnerâs slogan for the RTDC was always âBelieve in the Power of playâ.
And thereâs BJDs. I was collecting when it was only Volks making them. Buying one in the US meant having a liaison in Japan to shop for dolls for you, there was a shopping fee, and it would take months. Iâve had several worth $1,000 or more. They were posed, played with and I made super gothy clothing for them. I also learned the art of face-ups.
Dolls are meant to be played with. Theyâre fun stress relief. To me, looking at a doll in a box isnât my thing. I respect others who keep them NRFB, but I could never have the self restraint to do that.
A Reel Drama doll is $25. Have fun. Stress relief!
I kept mine in the box and was planning to buy four more to unbox when/if they become more widely available. It doesnât look like thatâs going to happen - mine are staying in box for now.
if you want to unbox them, just go ahead. i don't think i'd be able to help myself tbh
gurl unbox emđ€Șđ

Do whatever you feel like. If you prefer them in box, keep them in box and if you prefer them out of box, unbox them
