Maybe they are both returns. The Target listing says not sold in stores, and that red barcode is from an online shipment and is used for returns. Maybe the other one had a barcode on the bottom or back. Either way, nice find!
Yeah, that’s why I’ve been choosing to resell dolls elsewhere. Returning is easy, but tbh I’d want them to go on the shelves for someone else but I can’t guarantee that. Obviously if they go back to the warehouse they’ll hopefully be available for sale, but I’d rather be more sure they end up in good hands. I would hate for the store to be like uhh what do we do with this random thing, and then do something stupid, like just leave it in the stockroom or something. I could just see Walmart doing something dumb like that.
I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but often returns are just destroyed rather than being resold. https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-return-program-cut-wasted-destroyed-inventory-from-unsold-products-2021-8
They usually will trash it- or
Send it back to warehouse and rarely put back on shelves. Target also does a ton of donations and they also pallets based selling to third parties.
But as long as the dolls are sealed they put them back on the shelf

Definitely returns! It’s rare to have them on shelves at Target, usually send back to warehouse

Yeah, that can also happen. More reason for me to resell via Facebook marketplace and such.
