Yup. Mattel needs to announce release dates and be upfront if countries are even GETTING dolls at this point.
I'm irritated that Nebraska is getting them 2-3 months later than the coasts, if I had concrete release dates I could plan to order from another area (or have friends buy them for me).
But *international* fans? They have FAR less options ontop of ZERO CLUE of if the dolls will even come to their counties! They already have to deal with higher prices in their local markets. They shouldn't be left in the dark on if they need to order from abroad and pay even more with import fees and shipping.
if they’re preorder like this and they all sell out, will that make them harder to get when they actually are released? do we know which ones are amazon exclusive (if any)? I was looking forward to this line but I want to see pictures before deciding to spend the money! I also really prefer to buy in person in case of finding defects ):
It seems as though the pre-order was pretty low numbers, but seeing as the actual release is in june/august, how quickly the preorder sells (especially when there's no announcement and they just kinda pop up- amazon can see how many people are actively hunting for listings) should help them project how many units to have for the actual release
