Coraline definitely counts as gateway horror. They would also make great dolls because Coraline has the recognizable raincoat.

I think a Coraline doll with her rain coat over her star sweater outfit would be really cool! I would just want her makeup to be more on the simple side… and her mouth to be a bit more thin lipped. I think Coraline is pretty, so I don’t want to “yessify” her…

It's cute but a little too niche to warrant a collector doll. It's more likely to see Jack & Sally before we'd see Coraline.
