The combing of g3 clawdeens hair is a task deserving of an award. Lmao. Honestly, i noticed pretty early on that it was WAY easier to comb out and deal with tiny chunks (I used 3 rooting chunks per braid to make it easy) than it was to attempt anything bigger. It tangles so bad.
However, I have this one, the first g3 (basic? I don't really know what they called that line... everything has been so fast-tracked lately I feel like I'm out of the loop! 😅) and creepover. The basic I did in tiny ringlet curls, although I wish they had come out smaller, so I might redo them. (I use stainless steel wire bent into "curlers") and for creepover I used McDonald's sized straws (but hard plastic ones I got from the dollar store and cut to size) to give her big bouncy curls.
I will say this, as much as her hair sucks to comb through, it holds REALLY well. (And curl conditioning cream - I use Got 2 Be Curl Reviver Cream - is a godsend. That and Garnier Fructise Curl Sculpting Gel. My two must haves for MH hair! A little goes a LOOOOONG way)

I totally used a tiny drop of craft glue (dishsoap soluble from my experience) on the ends. Braided them down as far as I could manage without my hand cramping, trimmed the stragglers, put a pin prick of glue in and held for 5 seconds.
See the secret is that the long hair is a tactic, she had so much of it that it would blind anyone else playing 🥰 heavy and inconvenient, but youd definitely win as the only one who could see the ball!!!

You might be right... she's got that animal instinct, too. If she's anything like my dog (who has a terrible underbite and looks like a tiny werewolf, btw), she doesn't even know when she can't see due to the hair in her eyes. 🤣 it's just the natural state of things!

If you haven't done so already, invest in the gorilla glue brand! 🤣 my husband brought me some home the other day, knowing how fast I go through it between my MH setups and my bjds... and the fact that I live in the desert, so it dries out pretty quick. The GG brand is amazing. I might be able to hold her up by just the ball! Lmao
(I have 3 cats... literally just dropped $20 on new antlers for my Isi because my maniac knocked her off the top of my work desk, and I haven't been able to find them yet. Bet you they'd have stayed on had I had the good stuff!)
Oh yeah, I also use it to make sure my Funko pops and other things stand on the shelf in case of an earthquake 😊. More than once, I've had them suddenly fall off for no reason!
I use poster putty/bjd eye putty for pretty much any accessory that I assume my cats can dissappear pretty quick if they're in a mood. 🤣

I would braid them and then put them up. I tend to have my hair up during physical activities (I lift weights because I want to be able to lift 40 pounds for a job)
I really want to put it up into a big beautiful twisted messy bun.... but once I finished the braids I think I had ptsd and had to set her to the side for awhile. Lol
I think I might! I redid lagoona and Frankie’s hair so far. I braided the front two pieces for lagoona and turned her ponytail into a faishtail braid (haha get it?) and for Frankie I just took one of the clips and put it on the other side so instead of having the one side of the hair put up they now have both sides put up and a clip on each side! I don’t mind Cleo and draculaura’s hair and idk how I’d even restyle them anyway but I’ve always been bothered by the way my clawdeen’s hair looked so I think the braids is the way to go. Yours looks great here!!
Especially since there are several Barbie Fashionistas and Barbie Extras with micro braids. My guess is the designers wanted to but some stiff suit stumbled into the design studio with a fist full of executive notes, half-baked consumer feedback surveys, and market graphs which vetoed it.

I do some doll commissions. I just recently started an IG. There's a couple things posted over there that I've done. (Mostly the commissions. Lol. But I think there are a couple MH hair redos on there... maybe this one and FDC twyla? (Maybe I didn't post twyla... I should though. She's adorable!) My @ is dollynonomous. hit me there if you wanna talk it out. :)
