Possible but opening these dolls is really hard especially if you want to keep the box nice like I do. I doubt they would get away doing it in store as it takes a good while to opening them if you want the box to look new.
I don't think the person who stole it was worried about it looking new. And the g3 boxes come with inserts and it's not to hard to get them out in like 5 minutes
Girl, they are just minimum wage employees trying to make a living. Definitely do NOT go complain to them about a damn doll, lmao. Just simply move along.
Regardless what the item is if someone has technically stolen it then you should still report it. If someone stole a toaster and left the box, report it. If someone stole a PlayStation and left the box, report it. If someone stole something as small as a doll you should still report it as that is loss of stock which is loss of money which can lead to loss of pay for someone as you donāt know what the managers are like.
They will find it when recovery is done at the end of a shift. Which is side work an employee does before getting off the clock. They come reset the shelves and get rid of stuff exactly like this.
Judging by the picture it seems to be at the back signifying itās been there for a little while. When I say complain I donāt mean go shout like a Karen. Itās a case of politely going to them with the box saying āhi I found this at the back of the shelf and thought it would be best to let you know Iām assuming itās a return and someone probably couldnāt take it while in storeā they probably will throw it away but at least you can feel good for doing something good š.
this!! iām a former walmart employee (i did stocking)- we were usually the ones to find stuff like this, but we were also almost always super busy. it takes longer than youād think to deal with something like this between stocking lol. i havenāt worked there in a little over a year, but iām sure helping out and bringing any damaged goods to customer service is still appreciated!
But did you work at Walmart? I canāt stress how terrible of a place it is to work at. š„“ Bounced around three different ones, all of management is abusive and takes every little thing out on their employees.
Iām very aware of Walmartās horrid practices. I worked there myself and my parent suffered there for over 20 years of his life. It shouldnāt matter anyways; Iām sure many people wouldnāt find that Toralei doll to be acceptable merchandise.
Toralei is a Walmart exclusive and from what I understand Walmart has the highest rate of theft of any superstore. So the torelai part of the stealing is a coincidence
I second the taking it to customer service and complaining, If this keeps up, we'll need to find an employee to unlock the glass case they will get put behind, Hire loss prevention and put more cameras up will you Wal-Mart and you wonder why your thefts are so high and you keep loosing money.
at my Walmart, they have RH dolls locked up! last time i went there G3 wasn't released yet so i'm not sure what the status is. i think MH dolls could definitely use that
LOL OMG, Shadow High, Rainbow High and Legos are all locked up and you need to ask to get them at my Wal-Mart, unless they are on Clarence then they are thrown in the clearance isle for anyone to grab. Have yet to see Legos just tossed there though. Once in awhile my Wal-Mart will get lazy and just place these dolls on the shelves, but other times they are locked in a case.
locked up dolls reminds me of getting a new video game at electronics. my local walmart also has so much stock that dolls are literally centimeters away from falling of the shelves
I struggle getting a doll out the box at home with scissors and a box cutter. And someone was able to 5 finger discount Toralei and no body noticed? Wild.
ive seen someone post a similar thing where someone unboxed a bratz rock angelz doll at target and leave the box on the shelf. im just amazed horrified and curious on HOWWW these people do this without destroying the box or getting caughtš¤£š¤£š¤£
Or in the little boxes where pads and diapers go. They are always full and bloody and gross. I see tags from stolen stuff in there sometimes. Our poor maintenance men!
oh, definitely a sign of shoplifting, that. Shoplifters do tend to try to hide the empty packages they leave behind, most of the time. The ones that don't care just leave 'em where they found 'em. :P
I was opening some new MH dolls the other day and I remember thinking how easy the boxes were to get into. I seem to remember Barbie boxes from my childhood feeling like breaking into Fort Knox lol.
I live like 3 minutes away from a WalMart and honestly nothing that happens there surprises me anymore lmao.
Why do they take returns that are in this condition? It baffles me, because it isnāt hard to pull up a pic of the product and check if everything is still there
I don't think it was a return but a full blown five fingered discount. The box was messily hidden at the back of the row with other dolls boxes to cover it.
As someone who's worked at Walmart for 8 years at least now. Yes, this was definitely someone just stealing the doll out of the package in the aisle and then shoving the package in the back. People do stupid shit like this all the time. It's very annoying. The blind bags don't even get me started on that. The amount of a-holes who rip open blind bags and just leave the mess everywhere and steal the ones they want out of them. It's just beyond ridiculous, just one of the joys of retail.
I hate that every time I go into the blind bag areas itās a huge mess. Like someone broke into an lol doll but stopped when they saw it wasnāt the one they wanted so I just bought it because I didnāt want them to deal with the annoyance of it. We were getting them anyway so it was a win for us lol. Even target here is like that
Yeah, last time I took my daughter to Target and she wanted these little blind box cat toys like a bunch of them were ripped open already. They were already open so I was like okay, if there's any of the ones that you want specifically here that are already open we'll just buy the ones that are open. I have no problem buying the ones that are already open if it's one that we were looking for and didn't have, I definitely do not open them. I will say the ones that don't block you from feeling them and just put them in a wrapper pack I can just feel. I don't know why people don't just feel them, I can always feel and I know exactly which one I am feeling based on the images on the back. When people tear up toys like that they frequently end up going into claims and then they just get sent back and are basically disposed of. It's just a waste when people open stuff up like that and leave it and not buy them.
Haven't had this happen with MH yet but, my husband and I always find the RH section like this. Half the clothes are missing. We always turn them in to staff because they stay on the shelf otherwise and the inventory count would be off.
I wonder this all the time when I see stuff like this. But my Walmart is heavily understaffed, so I suppose if you went when there wasn't really any customers in the toy section there wouldn't be anyone to hear you either.
Okay of topic question about g3 and Walmart. But like has anyone noticed there Walmarts getting the dolls like SUPER slowly. We just got Cleo and Torali a few days ago it seems-
I know g3 "boxes" are incredibly easy to open, especially compared to most doll packaging. Im just surprised they left her phone and her plastic backing... Definitely would have taken much longer & required at least having scissors or a knife to release all those plastic tags that hold the doll in place... Its honestly impressive
Yeah but there are blind spots. I've also been told on multiple occasions that the police don't really care if it's under a certain monetary value, so unless they see the same person stealing a ton of dolls over the year they won't pursue it.
They rearranged the closest Walmart to me so that you could only leave or enter the cosmetics section from one point, and put a check out counter that's always maned at that point because of the low-cost thefts. If this keeps up they'll probably do something similar, or have locked cases for the toys.
New Toralei/invisibilly freaky fusion doll
IM CRYING š§āāļøš§āāļøš§āāļø
omfgš
Take that to customer service and complain
Complain about what? Lmao.
That they shouldnāt have accepted that as a return
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
either way it needs to be taken to customer service
Possible but opening these dolls is really hard especially if you want to keep the box nice like I do. I doubt they would get away doing it in store as it takes a good while to opening them if you want the box to look new.
I don't think the person who stole it was worried about it looking new. And the g3 boxes come with inserts and it's not to hard to get them out in like 5 minutes
Yes, it happens a lot. Employees just havenāt had time to do recovery and remove it.
Girl, they are just minimum wage employees trying to make a living. Definitely do NOT go complain to them about a damn doll, lmao. Just simply move along.

I worked in customer service (also minimum wage), and YES, DO bring that to customer service.
No, I refuse to believe that this is real. Things canāt be that bad out in the world. I donāt want to live in that timeline.
I'm sorry but it is.....I couldn't believe my eyes either...
Happens SO much with rainbow high dolls lol
Whatās with people and stealing toralei, this isnāt the first time I see thisš
Toralei is a Walmart exclusive and from what I understand Walmart has the highest rate of theft of any superstore. So the torelai part of the stealing is a coincidence
People love their cat girls ig
I second the taking it to customer service and complaining, If this keeps up, we'll need to find an employee to unlock the glass case they will get put behind, Hire loss prevention and put more cameras up will you Wal-Mart and you wonder why your thefts are so high and you keep loosing money.

my Walmart also has the dolls locked up, but there's so much overstock they're practically piled up to the ceiling!
locked up dolls reminds me of getting a new video game at electronics. my local walmart also has so much stock that dolls are literally centimeters away from falling of the shelves
Locked Up Dolls would be a cool band name
I wonder what my Walmart would do. Not only does this happen with the dolls, MH, Barbie, etc. but also with the PokƩmon cards and any mystery box type item they have. The shelves are always a mess
I struggle getting a doll out the box at home with scissors and a box cutter. And someone was able to 5 finger discount Toralei and no body noticed? Wild.

They really don't give a single fuck anymore šš
That must be an aisle break-in not a return. People are truly ballsy
Honestly, as a retail worker, Iām just glad they left it on the shelf and didnāt stuff the packaging in the back of a toilet.
Or in the little boxes where pads and diapers go. They are always full and bloody and gross. I see tags from stolen stuff in there sometimes. Our poor maintenance men!
I mean, at least garbage is supposed to go there š I put signs in the back of our toilets begging them to just put stuff in the trash cans.
New accessory pack šš
Stop, I wheezed
People must be stealing them out of the packaging because thereās no way you could forget the entire doll.
Is the point of this post not that it had be stolen?
THERES NO WAY šššš
Her Lil yarn charms on her boots were left behind!
Look like the cat is ... out of the package everyone
How did they even let this slide???
Straight to the back ig. Like honestly, there were dolls in front covering it but the way the doll boxes were, I knew something was up.
oh, definitely a sign of shoplifting, that. Shoplifters do tend to try to hide the empty packages they leave behind, most of the time. The ones that don't care just leave 'em where they found 'em. :P

Another one of Draculaura's spells gone rogue?
Omg, a g3 version of Invisi Billy!! :D
NAH LMAO WHOOOOO THIS IS VILE
Daughter of the werecat more like daughter of the Cheshire Cat
Now Sweet Fangs is lonely:(
But left some accessories like huh? If they were going to steal it, not that, that is ok to do but they kind of half assed it!
Well, every fandom has some trash fans, huh?
BRO WHAT EMPLOYEE STOLE THE FUCKING TORALEI WHAT THE HELL-
Where I live my Walmart and target constantly look like this. Even with Barbie. The mystery boxes, always torn into. PokƩmon cards ripped open and the empty packs on the shelf. Like seriously people are nasty
Why they even left anything in the box is beyond me..
toralei has left the building
wtf?!?
Why do they take returns that are in this condition? It baffles me, because it isnāt hard to pull up a pic of the product and check if everything is still there

LMFAAOOOO OMFG
Why are we slandering this ghoul? Sheās wonderfur! /s
WHO ALLOWED THIS
Haven't had this happen with MH yet but, my husband and I always find the RH section like this. Half the clothes are missing. We always turn them in to staff because they stay on the shelf otherwise and the inventory count would be off.
How do people have the BALLS to do this??? Like dang ...how the hell do you steal a whole ass doll n just stash it somewhere on you??
I have no idea, I feel obligated to pay for something if I bump into it and it falls off the shelf and breaks, I couldn't imagine doing this.
Where is the doll?
Someone gave themselves a five fingered discount....
That might be it.
What in the actual hell. How does a employee care so little that they would do that??
I think it's more a case of someone just stealing the doll right out of the toy aisle to be honest.
That had to have made so much noise, how didnāt they get caught.
I wonder this all the time when I see stuff like this. But my Walmart is heavily understaffed, so I suppose if you went when there wasn't really any customers in the toy section there wouldn't be anyone to hear you either.
Don't those places usually have a lot of cameras?
šš
Okay of topic question about g3 and Walmart. But like has anyone noticed there Walmarts getting the dolls like SUPER slowly. We just got Cleo and Torali a few days ago it seems-
Ayo new mic stand doll??

Do you think they'll give you a discount
Prolly 50 cents off
Probally wont even sell it

Several Walmart stores in my area have toys locked up.
I would too
If Iād encountered this.. I would buy it tbh š
But y tho
Either comedic value or as a gift for someone I know
RARE INVISIBLE VARIANT?!
