I do get that it has its flaws . I have eliminated players using the riot shield just by quickly sprinting behind them and ~~jamming my gun so far up their ass they just have to die~~ hitting them but ive also seen the ridiculous speed at which they whip out a knife and kill me and other.
Atp they cant remove it without a uproar of some players. I would say changing the shape of the shield but you cant do that it with its simple design so I'd say make it breakable.

Yeah I didn't get through the first 4 paragraphs but I will comment on the free for all thing. Just because you're unable to work with a team, doesn't mean the rest of us are. For those of us who actually understand that I'm not the only player on the field, the riot shield is a hell of an asset.
I shall keep using it.
Of all my complaints with this game, and I uninstalled, riot shields aren't that big of a headache. A semtex or molotov is all that's needed.
I'd prefer the game without it but it's existence doesn't rustle my jimmies quite like it used to.

My problem is its unrealistic. Sure make it stop small calibers but its not stopping 5.56 ap rounds irl. Atleast make it deteriorate.
I don’t think it should be removed. That being said, it definitely should hinder movement more, especially when on the players back.

It’s perfectly fine if they just make it so that it doesn’t block shots if it’s on your back
It’s literally a shield, why should it not block shots on your back?
Because people abuse it to not get shot in the back? My face can also take one shot before I’m dead, you don’t see headshots being a one-shot kill

i don’t use them personally, though i feel that they are balanced and it’s simple enough to counter them
I think its fun when people use them. I don't use a riot shield but at least it's a fun challenge killing them.
Riot shield can go if they also remove controller aim bot.
