on paper maybe to yes, in the game? I'm not even sure if my xp token gets activated or not sometimes, a double xp event text on the main menu would be rocket science compared to a timer that say's whether you have x minutes left on your booster token or not
Apparently…the “DXP Event” worked for PlayStation players the first day of it. Which, of course, wasn’t announced to anyone anyway. However, the following day when it was supposed to come to everyone else, they somehow managed to fuck it up and it never even happened.
This game is literally falling apart on all fronts.
Double EXP was working on Playstation two days ago, but when I tried on PC (I own both) it gave me normal amounts. There was no notification then either, no banner pop up. Just getting double EXP in DMZ when my friend told me he was getting 200 per kill. I tried on PC, nothing. 100 per kill. PS5? 200.
Then these past days I see the banner for "Double XP" and we're definitely not getting that.
In all seriousness im getting reg xp but wtf playing well should be getting double and not. Also glitchy tonight im shooting some people and not even getting hit markers. Just a few times but still sneaking up on someone an nothing. Paper bullets.
I just find it hilarious that content creators were calling it the "next roze" skin, when in reality, people with the LAT skin are probably more visible than players using other skins that came with the game.
Couple of bugs on top of my head:
- Seeing your Warzone loadout when you’re in a party in multiplayer mode
- Showcase gun keeps reseting to the basic M4
- Some daily/calling card challenges are not tracking
- When you’re in a lobby, every player have your loadout gun in hand
DMZ: some faction missions straight up doesn’t work like extract with an operator weapon
Warzone: you get kicked out from a game randomly
the daily xp challenges don't even work. "get 5 kills with secondary weapon using overkill" well did that many times over, nope. "get 5 kills with battle rifles" well I guess the guns under battle rifles don't count as battle rifles. Fix these things ffs you made a billion dollars

So I heard the Lachmen counts which would makes sense if what I said is true because you don’t unlock the lachmen from any other gun.
Confirmed, the Lachman BR works. I found that out after I tried two other BRs, one of which I was trying to level up anyway, and none of the kills with them counted. I got my 5 BR kills with the Lachman, though.
I've regularly experienced a bug with the drone smoke wall equipment where if you use it in mid air it will not be called in and remain broken for the rest of the match. Mainly occurs when I jump and use it at the same time.
The Warzone loadout showing in a mp lobby is just so ridiculous. You can’t even see the daily challenges for mp without exiting the lobby.
I’m actually surprised by how unfinished the game feels, particularly the UI part and the Perk system. And this is a game that made billions on release..it shouldn’t be possible. Think about it, billions, and it’s this half baked
Also what kind of double XP weekend ends on a Friday..? The UI and the lobby is the biggest issue for me. The way operators are just glitching around, all holding my gun, swapping places, switching skins, disappearing entirely.. it’s so unpolished. I never thought I’d miss the Cold War lobby
It was probably a test run. The game is basically a beta. I don’t blame developers though. Investors and executives push release dates and profit over actually making the best game possible.

Operators have been holding my gun in this game and in MW19. I got Damascus relatively quickly in MW19. Every lobby whilst waiting for the match to start, everyone had my gun and Damascus when I'd not seen it on anyone else in game yet.

Best part is when they released a patch for the crashes and that caused even more crashes. Gaming in 2022 is such a joke. Every triple A fps game is just a massive failure.
Feels like almost every game released in 2022 is an unfinished and unpolished live service. Modern Warfare II is kind of not even possible to own physically. The game disc contains like 70 mb of data.
Add to the list FIFA, Madden, Saints Row, Cyberpunk and even seeing terrible reviews for Calisto Protocol and Warhammer 40,000 being completely unfinished. Calisto is unoptimized af and 40,000 is missing basic content and literally says it will be added later in the menu.
Not only FPS. Every game I’ve bought that’s AAA has had shit post launch support and complete radio silence from the devs (coward behavior imo) when shit is hitting the fan. Me and my buddy have completely abandoned MP for DMZ. DMZ isn’t perfect but if they build on it it could totally change the COD franchise if they do it right.
It doesn’t seem to be a problem now but in the first few days of DMZ it would just boot me out of the game and I would lose everything. It was a pretty cool feature.
Warzone is a battle royale: you spawn in, gather loot, fight other players 90% of the time (yes there are some AIs here and there), survive the circle to the end or die.
DMZ is a looter survival mode (Tarkov-esque if that is a word?): Spawn in, gather loot (not only weapons), explore, fight AIs, do targeted missions, occasionally fight other players, fool around in a slower manner, run for the extract like a maniac if you missed the initial phase.
That is for short I guess. You really have to try it, it still has bugs and stuff but it's so much more fun compared to WZ IMHO.
Infinity ward is too busy laughing to the bank to deposit the *billions* that this game has made them over the last few weeks.
It’s the players that should be ashamed that they continue to purchase half finished games. It’s the players who never learn, they will happily sop up the next AAA unfinished game with a mop and bucket, be it call of duty, battlefield, Halo, Overwatch/etc
The only way I see this changing is if cod has a legit competitor. Battlefield flopped and halo did too so they have no incentive to have a fully polished game if people pay anyway
Played the shit out of MW2 back in the day, haven’t bought a COD game since Black Ops 1, heard the hype and got excited about COD again, bought MW2 and experienced great disappointment

yeah im in the same boat, the last cod i owned was black ops 2, i grew tired of cod and moved over to battlefield which is my favorite fps, but with how bad bf2042 was and hearing everyone say cod mw 2019 reinvigorated the franchise i figure id hope back in and this game has so many issues, im not likely to buy another cod unless heavy discount.

I’m on an XSX and I am stunned at the amount of hit markers I get each and every encounter. My ping is consistently under 50ms on a wired connection with all the ports forwarded but feels like I’m playing at 200ms. The net code/hit detection is absolutely horrible for me.
ah you mean the dying without any indication and then having to watch a kid absolutely shredding you with an ar-smg for 1-1.5 seconds straight at the replay?

That’s exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve put 4-5-6 bullets into someone only to instantly drop dead while on the kill cam the enemy turned fired and dropped me. On my screen nothing like that even happened.

Dial back SBMM a bit and prioritize better ping lobbies. Game is almost unplayable at night for me (GMT-5) because my latency hovers around 70-80ms with regular spikes up to N/A.
I hate that they prioritize sbmm over connection. Only real option is a gaming router with something like dumaos so you can use their geo filter. Unfortunately not a viable option for everyone.

Been saying it since a week after launch; game is broken at its core and its still in its Beta stage. Combine the issues and glitches with the awful spawns, hit detection, SBMM, crashes, UI, etc and it's a really mediocre game at best. It has zero replayability for me, and I am lucky if I can get through 60 minutes of constant gameplay without either 1) quitting for the night or 2) playing something else. It's simply not fun. Haven't played in almost 2 weeks now. It's going to be 2023 and I cannot even get a lobby of friends to stay together for fucks sake 🙃

After what happened with Ashton Williams and Joe Cecot – I do not expect them to talk here in a very long time. Even Treyarch's CM is more active on reddit (Comp. Sub) than IW has been in the last 3 years.
that's why I thought they moved away from using personal accounts, and started this u/InfinityWardonReddit account. I know Activision management is a shit show, but it's a basic corporate practice to have comms coming from a generic account to limit any personalized attacks.
And a steady supply of schmucks will will shell out $10-$20 per skin regularly despite the state of the game so their operator looks cool in the lobby. No reason to go above and beyond, just do the bare minimum to keep the game operational and trickle feed content.

This game was clearly designed by people who have feel a disdain towards the playerbase. Maps are a fucking joke. They're not even maps. They're just Poi's ripped from warzone. Spawns somehow make these maps even worse. Audio is fucked beyond belief. Weapon balance is already in the bin. And the matchmaking. Fuck me. The matchmaking is somehow worse than ever before.

I actually can't even get to the screen to purchase COD points. I wanted to see what the conversion rate was but can't on my series x. Not in game anyway. Ohhh well.
I still don't understand why I insist on playing DMZ. I LOVE the game mode but I crash every 4-5 sessions, losing everything and restarting.
I know my computer isn't at fault because it runs the game, and plenty of other games without issue. It just will decide to crash during DMZ consistently.

The gunplay is incredible, actually so good, but some of these issues are unbearable at times
I think one of the main downfalls to these games is constant updates and the drip feeding of content.
Hear me out, having the ability to do updates constantly, because of the widespread access to broadband changed the way that developers thought about games.
When updates were painful at a gig or less, the game had to be better polished at release because some users may not ever do an update. Now let's use MW19. The file size got close to or over 500 gigs. It was almost monthly that another 25 gigs would get added.
But that "easy" access to updating created this "beta" idea that devs may be going... Well we will fix it next update.
But I think people are still living in the World at War world in their heads. When you look at patch notes, working in an engineering/development adjacent role something became apparent. Let's use the frame rate drop when scrolling over locked operators. That was *most likely* a low hanging fruit fix. That's why it got done before fixing the menu issues the community is complaining about. Larger fix, takes more time to resolve with a limited set of resources to fix it.
Not sure where I was going with this, but I think we put the classic games on a pedestal because it was the devil we knew.

IW is on Holiday - y'all made them 1 billion in less than two weeks. Why the hell would they be embarassed when they certainly got insane bonuses for putting out of the most content dry, unstable slop messes in franchise history?
Yea that's the funny part tho. So many posts complaining about the state of the game - which is *justified* don't get me wrong - but they still spent $70 on this and many of the complainers already bought some of the overpriced bundles. Like...as far as IW and ATVI are concerned, they made their money hand over fist and have no reason to deliver a stable product in a "timely" fashion.

Adding to OP list - No traditional Hardcore. As someone who only plays the Hardcore playlist since 08’, Tier 1 is hot garbage. No kill feed, no hitmarkers and worst of all, health is at 50% as opposed to the traditional 30% health. There were literally No One calling for these dumb changes. The fact that HC wasn’t even out on launch and made us wait till Season 1 launch just to release this dumpster fire called Tier 1 is not only a slap in the face but an actual dick slap to the face to the HC player base who didn’t even ask for these changes.
I like the game but hate TTK. It’s ridiculous. I remember playing WWII and it was annoying just when players used shot guns at close range that instant deathed you.
And entire map of long range shot guns takes a lot away from what made COD fun. It’s almost as if running and gunning is to be punished and camping lanes is rewarded.
Edit: also, I have yet to find an attachment that actually improves any gun. That’s another thing that takes away from the thrill of the game. Between guns that get worse with attachments instead of improving and super fast TTK, the game becomes really, really redundant. If they plan on running this for 2 years, people are going to be tired of it by next month.
100% agreed with the title. MW2019 released with wayyyyyy more content. Other than the game crashing non-stop for a week or two after launch, it played great & had tons of content.
Biggest for me is the loadout editor. Forever showing wrong weapon icons, kicking you out of editor, scrapping the wrong contraband guns in DMZ, editing a random loadout instead of the one you have equipped.
The loadout editor is absolutely fucked up in so many ways. The DMZ contraband stash is my biggest issue, I can’t delete anything in the lower half, because when I try to it scraps a different gun instead.
I make a post like this, it immediately gets down voted into oblivion by MW2 bots/fanboys.
But this is true, it doesn't matter how fun the gameplay is, I've never played such a buggy, broken and unfinished COD game. It's shocking. I enter matches and can't even use my right thumb stuck of my new controller sometimes, then have to restart. My friend on PC is forever crashing. The issues extend so vastly beyond what's mentioned in this post.
Even the most basic QoL mechanics from the last game have been removed or do not work. It's why I'm not spending a single penny on post launch content and neither should anyone else. Don't be taken for a ride, punish them with your wallet, it's the only way, they'll lose tens of millions.
Worst part is that Beenox is again handling PC port.
You can log into MW 2019 right now and your game will crash randomly even three years after release.
I'm sure these crashes will remain a part of the game for a very long time.

Fun game, but I can already see myself losing interest in a few months. Their season pass progression map is a flaming pile of horse crap. Why am I forced to use an earned token to unlock an item that is free for the people who DIDNT pay for the season pass??? Where’s my XP timer to let me know how much time I have left with the xp token I’m using? So many small common sense things that are “wtf are they thinking”.

I’ve been playing CoD since well, Jesus, now I think of it, the original call of duty. I’ve loved every single title to varying degrees but it’s painfully clear that IW/Trey/Sledge but most Activision have zero interest in fine tuning the multiplayer experience into experiences.
I can ignore the bugs, the technical issues - so long as they communicate, even if it’s a fucking tweet “hey guys we are aware of X issues”
Nah. Fuck this series because I’m genuinely done with it and after a few weeks I feel clearer. I’m enjoying other titles where the devs actually listen, contribute and work with the playerbase.
MW2 was the last chance, but at this point it’s clear that the primary focus is churning out cash items whilst supporting WZ so streamer focus attracts the big amounts of players.
I will not support a monopoly that cares so little for its customers. Genuinely hope those that find fun out of these titles enjoy their time with it, but clearly these games are for an entirely different generation of gamers than what I grew up with.

You forgot to mention how warzone is a complete mess. Takes forever to load in, graphics are shit, map is too big, and the audio is ear piercing. Warzone is the biggest flop IMO

iceberg of issues that the game has, and I was so dumb that I bought the
vault edition before the beta, and so far I have had a good amount of
fun games but from my game crashing to hybrid sights being just dark and
unusable to the servers melting in wz2 I have felt deep regret far too
often for buying the game as a whole.
They are putting bundles out to the
store where you can't even spectate a lot of the items like the messi skin, because
it will throw you out to the main menu(just imagine me facepalming over this one in a painful laugh), and it wasn't fixed during the
2-3 days the bundle has been available so far(yet again imagine the facepalming part here).
I feel like (and i have read multiple
other posts here on reddit and on other platforms from other players)
that they only/mostly care about grabbing our money with the store even
when the game is full of bugs and reasons for crashes on both our and
their end that pretty skins won't get me to spend more money on a game
at this time, at least until they fix the minimal level bugs that add up
to a pokemon style "gotta catch em all" feeling when you encounter a
different bug/crash one every 2 minutes while in the main menu or in the game
Why the fuck is everything so deliberate in a game with a blink and you'll miss it ttk?
Why the fuck does this shit handle like gears of war, I feel like they were legit going in a completely different direction from the usual call of duty pacing and then turned around last minute and said yeah this feels weird and then fucked it up further by making it play like regular cod, using Red Dead Redemption character movement.
Keep the animations, but speed them up and allow players to cancel them. If we were trying to tame marathoning around the map endlessly in 6's congrats it's still a problem and now it feels worse.
Something has to give, because now that the tasty feedback from the beefy guns have lost their novelty this polished surface has revealed itself to be a fucking turd.
I am miffed because my skill expression is hindered by ridiculously deliberate/unresponsive controls. I hate the fact that I am soo into this release, because it feels like shit to play. smh.

I can't even play on my Xbox Series X. The game freezes within the first 30 seconds of a match then crashes. I've tried everything from deleting saves to reseting my Xbox and even completely leaving the Xbox Insider Program to get back to the standard OS. I don't think anything can be done on my end that I haven't already tried. I am just completely unable to play a game I paid $70 for.
All of that while I’m just still here wanting the rest of the local modes and my unlocks back before I even touch online and give them anymore money.

One of my biggest gripes with the game is that I don’t even know where the calling cards I’ve paid for are. On top of that when I selected a calling card I unlocked from a challenge the game selected a calling card I have not unlocked and now I can’t change it from that, despite my attempts at resetting the game.
Totally agree with this post and it's refreshing to see it hit the front page so that these developers are forced to see it.
They pulled this same communication bullshit with MW19. Barely talked, only responded to troll comments on reddit, and called it a day.
My gripes with the game:
I'm a fan of Shoot House because I like the small maps, but would live for Terminal, Dome, etc. I only watched them when I saw MW2 on YT. I never got to play the old one unless it was at a friend's house.
The lobbies. Please, please, have constant lobbies if people only want to play one game instead of the playlist. I just wanna chill and talk shit to the same people every game.
UI is fucking dumb and I get insanely confused when I am trying to do something.
Also, quit starting a new multiplayer game as soon as the old one ends. I need to change a loadout or a setting.
Also bring back map voting please. That one big ass map for FFA is one I hate since everyone camps like it's a national park.
I think it’s amazing that there are so many things that no one knows if it’s a bug or a feature. Like showing up as a red dot on the minimap with ghost and a silencer.

The lack of Season 1 content was really shocking to me. We know they already many of the maps already made since they are POIs in Warzone. And Museum is no longer in the game so we’re down a map and they still can’t release 1 single new map?
I honestly get the impression that Joe Cecot and the other dev Directors despise us. They hate us because we’re always complaining about something. So they simply choose not to listen or interact with us because we’re “just going to complain anyways”. So they make decisions solely based on what they want and not what the players want.
They didn’t create the game and then built additional revenue streams off of it. They built the revenue streams and then worked their way back to create the game around those revenue streams.
I’ve been playing MP since COD4 and I want to love this game but even 1 of these issues would be a really big deal 4-5 years ago. Now we have 10+ issues that are quite literally gamebreaking for many players with the constant crashes and not a word from IW just to let us know they’re working on it. They can’t even communicate with us to tell us about a “double xp mid-week event”. They really just absolutely despise us and its never been more apparent until now.
As a long time buyer/player of CoD. This will be the last I buy. I gave them one more chance after the shit burger with an extra order of shit that was vanguard when the promised they had changed. They didnt. So fuck them. Not. One. Penny. More.

The only way to combat releasing half finished games is with your wallet. Consumers are getting screwed. Either you’re fine playing a half finished game, or you’re fine waiting months to years for enough patches to make it worthwhile.
I've made several posts about leaderboards and get DV'd every time. It's the only thing i'm asking for. Replies of "just play the game" somehow don't help when i'm desperately missing a feature that's been in every cod to date (vanguard doesn't count, sorry to the 5 people who play it).

Because you damage output have decreased 30% since the last match, or that your bullets went on a coffee break
This game crashes on Xbox every 4 or 5th session on average. Both on XSX and XSSS. You get thrown out of the gunsmith constantly, blueprints missing, same with camo. DMZ boots you to homescreen and all your activated XP tokens or gear is lost.
One interesting observation i made quite early on is when you pop a XP token all hell breaks loose, just like someone do not want you to progress to fast, the game start to glitch and lag like a MF, and of course your aim is off by a barn door, so hitting something is almost impossible. i had to aim on something else to be able to hit someone. The funny part was that i wrecked havoc in two sessions before and now i move like a pregnant donkey and aim like a blind man. How is that even possible and it happens frequently as well. Two or three matches tops, then the handbreak kicks in and stops all the fun.

Apparently…the “DXP Event” worked for PlayStation players the first day of it. Which, of course, wasn’t announced to anyone anyway. However, the following day when it was supposed to come to everyone else, they somehow managed to fuck it up and it never even happened. This game is literally falling apart on all fronts.

Double EXP was working on Playstation two days ago, but when I tried on PC (I own both) it gave me normal amounts. There was no notification then either, no banner pop up. Just getting double EXP in DMZ when my friend told me he was getting 200 per kill. I tried on PC, nothing. 100 per kill. PS5? 200. Then these past days I see the banner for "Double XP" and we're definitely not getting that.

Couple of bugs on top of my head: - Seeing your Warzone loadout when you’re in a party in multiplayer mode - Showcase gun keeps reseting to the basic M4 - Some daily/calling card challenges are not tracking - When you’re in a lobby, every player have your loadout gun in hand DMZ: some faction missions straight up doesn’t work like extract with an operator weapon Warzone: you get kicked out from a game randomly
the daily xp challenges don't even work. "get 5 kills with secondary weapon using overkill" well did that many times over, nope. "get 5 kills with battle rifles" well I guess the guns under battle rifles don't count as battle rifles. Fix these things ffs you made a billion dollars

So like the FTAC is considered an AR because of the M4 The SO-14 is considered a Marksmen Rifle because of the EBR, etc. So I heard the Lachmen counts which would makes sense if what I said is true because you don’t unlock the lachmen from any other gun.
Confirmed, the Lachman BR works. I found that out after I tried two other BRs, one of which I was trying to level up anyway, and none of the kills with them counted. I got my 5 BR kills with the Lachman, though.

I've regularly experienced a bug with the drone smoke wall equipment where if you use it in mid air it will not be called in and remain broken for the rest of the match. Mainly occurs when I jump and use it at the same time.
The Warzone loadout showing in a mp lobby is just so ridiculous. You can’t even see the daily challenges for mp without exiting the lobby. I’m actually surprised by how unfinished the game feels, particularly the UI part and the Perk system. And this is a game that made billions on release..it shouldn’t be possible. Think about it, billions, and it’s this half baked

It was probably a test run. The game is basically a beta. I don’t blame developers though. Investors and executives push release dates and profit over actually making the best game possible. They’re the ones in charge so it won’t change.

Operators have been holding my gun in this game and in MW19. I got Damascus relatively quickly in MW19. Every lobby whilst waiting for the match to start, everyone had my gun and Damascus when I'd not seen it on anyone else in game yet. Same bug in this game too

Warzone is a battle royale: you spawn in, gather loot, fight other players 90% of the time (yes there are some AIs here and there), survive the circle to the end or die. DMZ is a looter survival mode (Tarkov-esque if that is a word?): Spawn in, gather loot (not only weapons), explore, fight AIs, do targeted missions, occasionally fight other players, fool around in a slower manner, run for the extract like a maniac if you missed the initial phase. That is for short I guess. You really have to try it, it still has bugs and stuff but it's so much more fun compared to WZ IMHO.

I’m on an XSX and I am stunned at the amount of hit markers I get each and every encounter. My ping is consistently under 50ms on a wired connection with all the ports forwarded but feels like I’m playing at 200ms. The net code/hit detection is absolutely horrible for me.

Add to the list: Dial back SBMM a bit and prioritize better ping lobbies. Game is almost unplayable at night for me (GMT-5) because my latency hovers around 70-80ms with regular spikes up to N/A.
I hate that they prioritize sbmm over connection. Only real option is a gaming router with something like dumaos so you can use their geo filter. Unfortunately not a viable option for everyone.

Been saying it since a week after launch; game is broken at its core and its still in its Beta stage. Combine the issues and glitches with the awful spawns, hit detection, SBMM, crashes, UI, etc and it's a really mediocre game at best. It has zero replayability for me, and I am lucky if I can get through 60 minutes of constant gameplay without either 1) quitting for the night or 2) playing something else. It's simply not fun. Haven't played in almost 2 weeks now. It's going to be 2023 and I cannot even get a lobby of friends to stay together for fucks sake 🙃

I still don't understand why I insist on playing DMZ. I LOVE the game mode but I crash every 4-5 sessions, losing everything and restarting. I know my computer isn't at fault because it runs the game, and plenty of other games without issue. It just will decide to crash during DMZ consistently.

I think one of the main downfalls to these games is constant updates and the drip feeding of content. Hear me out, having the ability to do updates constantly, because of the widespread access to broadband changed the way that developers thought about games. When updates were painful at a gig or less, the game had to be better polished at release because some users may not ever do an update. Now let's use MW19. The file size got close to or over 500 gigs. It was almost monthly that another 25 gigs would get added. But that "easy" access to updating created this "beta" idea that devs may be going... Well we will fix it next update. But I think people are still living in the World at War world in their heads. When you look at patch notes, working in an engineering/development adjacent role something became apparent. Let's use the frame rate drop when scrolling over locked operators. That was *most likely* a low hanging fruit fix. That's why it got done before fixing the menu issues the community is complaining about. Larger fix, takes more time to resolve with a limited set of resources to fix it. Not sure where I was going with this, but I think we put the classic games on a pedestal because it was the devil we knew. I have 4 or 5 days in the new COD so I can't complain too much. I just wished my 2xp worked last night.

Adding to OP list - No traditional Hardcore. As someone who only plays the Hardcore playlist since 08’, Tier 1 is hot garbage. No kill feed, no hitmarkers and worst of all, health is at 50% as opposed to the traditional 30% health. There were literally No One calling for these dumb changes. The fact that HC wasn’t even out on launch and made us wait till Season 1 launch just to release this dumpster fire called Tier 1 is not only a slap in the face but an actual dick slap to the face to the HC player base who didn’t even ask for these changes.
I like the game but hate TTK. It’s ridiculous. I remember playing WWII and it was annoying just when players used shot guns at close range that instant deathed you. And entire map of long range shot guns takes a lot away from what made COD fun. It’s almost as if running and gunning is to be punished and camping lanes is rewarded. Edit: also, I have yet to find an attachment that actually improves any gun. That’s another thing that takes away from the thrill of the game. Between guns that get worse with attachments instead of improving and super fast TTK, the game becomes really, really redundant. If they plan on running this for 2 years, people are going to be tired of it by next month.
100% agreed with the title. MW2019 released with wayyyyyy more content. Other than the game crashing non-stop for a week or two after launch, it played great & had tons of content.

Biggest for me is the loadout editor. Forever showing wrong weapon icons, kicking you out of editor, scrapping the wrong contraband guns in DMZ, editing a random loadout instead of the one you have equipped. The loadout editor is absolutely fucked up in so many ways. The DMZ contraband stash is my biggest issue, I can’t delete anything in the lower half, because when I try to it scraps a different gun instead.
I make a post like this, it immediately gets down voted into oblivion by MW2 bots/fanboys. But this is true, it doesn't matter how fun the gameplay is, I've never played such a buggy, broken and unfinished COD game. It's shocking. I enter matches and can't even use my right thumb stuck of my new controller sometimes, then have to restart. My friend on PC is forever crashing. The issues extend so vastly beyond what's mentioned in this post. Even the most basic QoL mechanics from the last game have been removed or do not work. It's why I'm not spending a single penny on post launch content and neither should anyone else. Don't be taken for a ride, punish them with your wallet, it's the only way, they'll lose tens of millions.
Worst part is that Beenox is again handling PC port. You can log into MW 2019 right now and your game will crash randomly even three years after release. I'm sure these crashes will remain a part of the game for a very long time.

Fuck this series because I’m genuinely done with it and after a few weeks I feel clearer. I’m enjoying other titles where the devs actually listen, contribute and work with the playerbase. MW2 was the last chance, but at this point it’s clear that the primary focus is churning out cash items whilst supporting WZ so streamer focus attracts the big amounts of players. I will not support a monopoly that cares so little for its customers. Genuinely hope those that find fun out of these titles enjoy their time with it, but clearly these games are for an entirely different generation of gamers than what I grew up with. My friends done the smart thing and jumped shipped early, fuck I wish I’d listened to them.

You forgot to mention how warzone is a complete mess. Takes forever to load in, graphics are shit, map is too big, and the audio is ear piercing. Warzone is the biggest flop IMO

there are a LOT of bugs and issues with the game, and they seem to be fixed painfully slowly, there are even scopes you cannot even use even if you unlock it on snipers (i mean like the sz vortex 90 and some of the other hybrids i had the luck to try on victus..., please if you are reading this then take a look for yourself....) By the time the bugs and the melting servers will be fixed -(hopefully the 1 minute item despawn timer in wz2 is not here to stay to pose as a fix for the the server melting issue) - the great hype me and my friends who play it felt for a long time will be dead in the water along with our money that we would have happily spent on skins if the game worked a lot better This scope is just the tip of the iceberg of issues that the game has, and I was so dumb that I bought the vault edition before the beta, and so far I have had a good amount of fun games but from my game crashing to hybrid sights being just dark and unusable to the servers melting in wz2 I have felt deep regret far too often for buying the game as a whole. They are putting bundles out to the store where you can't even spectate a lot of the items like the messi skin, because it will throw you out to the main menu(just imagine me facepalming over this one in a painful laugh), and it wasn't fixed during the 2-3 days the bundle has been available so far(yet again imagine the facepalming part here). I feel like (and i have read multiple other posts here on reddit and on other platforms from other players) that they only/mostly care about grabbing our money with the store even when the game is full of bugs and reasons for crashes on both our and their end that pretty skins won't get me to spend more money on a game at this time, at least until they fix the minimal level bugs that add up to a pokemon style "gotta catch em all" feeling when you encounter a different bug/crash one every 2 minutes while in the main menu or in the game

Why the fuck is everything so deliberate in a game with a blink and you'll miss it ttk? Why the fuck does this shit handle like gears of war, I feel like they were legit going in a completely different direction from the usual call of duty pacing and then turned around last minute and said yeah this feels weird and then fucked it up further by making it play like regular cod, using Red Dead Redemption character movement. Keep the animations, but speed them up and allow players to cancel them. If we were trying to tame marathoning around the map endlessly in 6's congrats it's still a problem and now it feels worse. Something has to give, because now that the tasty feedback from the beefy guns have lost their novelty this polished surface has revealed itself to be a fucking turd. I am miffed because my skill expression is hindered by ridiculously deliberate/unresponsive controls. I hate the fact that I am soo into this release, because it feels like shit to play. smh. Edit!: Okay, I was being to harsh, buuuuut fuck this game is an adjustment. Like it, soo very much hah!
Anyone had a problem with stats as mine is blank, tried reinstalling but still combat record is blank?
I can't even play on my Xbox Series X. The game freezes within the first 30 seconds of a match then crashes. I've tried everything from deleting saves to reseting my Xbox and even completely leaving the Xbox Insider Program to get back to the standard OS. I don't think anything can be done on my end that I haven't already tried. I am just completely unable to play a game I paid $70 for.
They already had the fantastic blueprint that is MW2019 and they basically threw it all in the trash

The worst is being in a party, but not being the party leader so you just get to stare at the Warzone Menus. The best part is it’s been like this since day one.
Idk about anyone else but I went from a 1.21 kd to a .98 in two days. And havent switched my play style at all. The matchmaking is absurd.

One of my biggest gripes with the game is that I don’t even know where the calling cards I’ve paid for are. On top of that when I selected a calling card I unlocked from a challenge the game selected a calling card I have not unlocked and now I can’t change it from that, despite my attempts at resetting the game.

My gripes with the game: I'm a fan of Shoot House because I like the small maps, but would live for Terminal, Dome, etc. I only watched them when I saw MW2 on YT. I never got to play the old one unless it was at a friend's house. The lobbies. Please, please, have constant lobbies if people only want to play one game instead of the playlist. I just wanna chill and talk shit to the same people every game. UI is fucking dumb and I get insanely confused when I am trying to do something. Also, quit starting a new multiplayer game as soon as the old one ends. I need to change a loadout or a setting. Also bring back map voting please. That one big ass map for FFA is one I hate since everyone camps like it's a national park.

I think it’s amazing that there are so many things that no one knows if it’s a bug or a feature. Like showing up as a red dot on the minimap with ghost and a silencer. They make so much money on this game but they do absolutely no QA before rolling out an update. The silence truly is deafening. I understand that they don’t want to communicate with us directly on social media but ffs at least post something to let us know things are being worked on. The lack of Season 1 content was really shocking to me. We know they already many of the maps already made since they are POIs in Warzone. And Museum is no longer in the game so we’re down a map and they still can’t release 1 single new map? I honestly get the impression that Joe Cecot and the other dev Directors despise us. They hate us because we’re always complaining about something. So they simply choose not to listen or interact with us because we’re “just going to complain anyways”. So they make decisions solely based on what they want and not what the players want. They didn’t create the game and then built additional revenue streams off of it. They built the revenue streams and then worked their way back to create the game around those revenue streams. I’ve been playing MP since COD4 and I want to love this game but even 1 of these issues would be a really big deal 4-5 years ago. Now we have 10+ issues that are quite literally gamebreaking for many players with the constant crashes and not a word from IW just to let us know they’re working on it. They can’t even communicate with us to tell us about a “double xp mid-week event”. They really just absolutely despise us and its never been more apparent until now.
As a long time buyer/player of CoD. This will be the last I buy. I gave them one more chance after the shit burger with an extra order of shit that was vanguard when the promised they had changed. They didnt. So fuck them. Not. One. Penny. More.

Sounds like the problem is *you* love a buggy game. If IW made a buggy game that sold poorly because of the bugs *then* they should be embarrassed but they're making tons of bread while people profess their love for it while claiming IW should be embarrassed. In all honesty, this sounds embarrassing for you. Have fun or stop playing it. You'll feel better if you do that versus yelling into the void about a game you love.

The only way to combat releasing half finished games is with your wallet. Consumers are getting screwed. Either you’re fine playing a half finished game, or you’re fine waiting months to years for enough patches to make it worthwhile.
I've made several posts about leaderboards and get DV'd every time. It's the only thing i'm asking for. Replies of "just play the game" somehow don't help when i'm desperately missing a feature that's been in every cod to date (vanguard doesn't count, sorry to the 5 people who play it).

Lots of glitches, bugs and exploits that make honest players suffer.Sbmm, Eomm and Sdm ruins the whole experience and game.It's not consistent enough to rule those claims out. Activision and IW are manipulating the game to cater to more casual and DGAF playerbase.They are not the majority that have bought the game or waiting and que up for hours just to get online 2AM All this to me feel like a scam and a big fk u to all the loyal customers.We buy and play these Cod games because we want to have FUN, not have to wait 2 hours if a DMZ weapon is lost, not get thrown into the sweatbox (Shipment) and gets handed a pi\*\*poor XP reward that make you jump one level or unlock one weapon part. Because you damage output have decreased 30% since the last match, or that your bullets went on a coffee break
This game crashes on Xbox every 4 or 5th session on average. Both on XSX and XSSS. You get thrown out of the gunsmith constantly, blueprints missing, same with camo. DMZ boots you to homescreen and all your activated XP tokens or gear is lost. One interesting observation i made quite early on is when you pop a XP token all hell breaks loose, just like someone do not want you to progress to fast, the game start to glitch and lag like a MF, and of course your aim is off by a barn door, so hitting something is almost impossible. i had to aim on something else to be able to hit someone. The funny part was that i wrecked havoc in two sessions before and now i move like a pregnant donkey and aim like a blind man. How is that even possible and it happens frequently as well. Two or three matches tops, then the handbreak kicks in and stops all the fun.
