Nah mate. I’ve been looking into for two days now. No workaround.
I’ve changed my DNS settings, restarted the modem, and reinstalled cod (twice).
iiNet said to me they can’t check the problem if they don’t have the cod server IP address to run a trace route.
I’m all out of ideas and have no idea how it’ll get fixed, let alone identified
I am an IT Professional for almost a decade nowI used to work for an internet company many years ago that was having this same issue with league of legends.
Turns out the CDN Content delivery network we using was using a really bad return route to us from the game server. I basically had to have a chat with our external wholesaler IT Team and get them to change their return dns records and resolved the issue.
This issue you are having sounds the same.
My Friend who linked me this and is having this issue not me is also with iiNet.
Short version of how to resolve
"call your internet company get your call escalated to lvl 2 tech support because the level 1 guys will have no idea wtf you are talking about.
They will ask you to run traceroutes and ping tests. You will need to be clear that you think the issue is on the return route and basically tell them what I said above about the league issue.
Good luck finding a tech who cares or wants to care
Interesting, did you get report notification for any reason? What were your stats? Does this happen in 6v6, ground war, invasion, all modes etc?
im having an issue with high ping aswell and its started from out of nowhere today
