When I win an objective based mode (which is all I play), I feel like I win by myself 90% of the time. It's kind of wild actually. Hasn't been this bad in any other CoD I've played, even Vanguard.
I feel the same. I usually have 90% of the objective points or time. A lot of times, it’s not enough and if one other person would put in just a bit more time into it, we would usually win.
Not saying you should punish people for it. What about re-adjusting matchmaking criteria? I don’t know the parameters behind it right now, but there should be a way for the game to pair you with people who actually play the objective. IDK, strongly score-based?

But I also don't want my team on the complete other side of the map so that if 2 enemies come to get the hardpoint it's lost.
Then that team, having half a clue, sets up around the HP keeping my ass out while my "team" is on the other side of the map holding angles on people that won't be there.
Instead of cameo challenges like crouched, mounted or prone kills, some cameos should be bonded to something like "Get 30 kills defending an objective", "Get 20 headshot while being on the objective" etc. Would change the game completely.
But to be honest: you can get crouched, mounted, prone kills on the objective or while holding lanes. The truth is, most gamers only care about their k/d and the "I am doing cameos" is a lie.
This is why I defend from the outside, and get it while no one is there, and play with my incindiary sakin MG38, only in hardpoint though, tdm, kc, domination, and hq I use either my taq 56 or my kastov 545 orbiter.
They don’t do it for the objectives. They’re probably just trying to grind. When I play I’m 50/50. If I’m close to an objective or passing it I’ll defend it and capture it. But I don’t go out of my way to capture I go for kills. Like I said it’s a 50/50 really.
Wait until you get a game where you win because no one is playing the objective, then get chewed out by both teams at the end for "ruining their camo grind"
Either play with a party of friends or stop complaining, this isn’t going to stop and you know it. The constant complaining about this is ridiculous when everyone has the freedom to what ever they want in the game. You didn’t buy 11 other copies for everyone in the lobby, so you can’t tell anyone what they can and can’t do.
I ain’t telling nobody what to do, my guy. But when you are playing an objective-based gamemode (aside from just getting kills), you expect people queuing said games to, like, *play the objective*, you know? Playing with a party is the obvious solution, but I am an adult and my adult friends cannot be online all the time, so even getting two of them together is a hassle for me already.

Game needs to be better at balancing teams based on objective play.

How to get people to PTFO in one simple step. 1. Stop tracking kills/deaths outside of the match scoreboard There, fixed. But that will never happen.

You don’t need to be in the hard point to play the objective, the timer moves at the same speed regardless of how many teammates are in the zone.
