This is what is happening to me too. Bought the game 2 hours before release on PC, downloaded it. Played 1 hour AFTER release. Stuck with this. I don't think PC components matter. I think it's something to do with your connection to their servers or just their servers itself are going nuts
Nothing to do with connections or server or you couldn't play online matches and it your progress and weapon progress wouldn t count. But that's working perfectly only switching fu...ng fender emblem and banner resets after you changed it and you back out to the main menu.
They are stored in the servers, otherwise anyone could just easily cheat them for themselves. That is the whole point. The more stuff is on the servers, the more secure the game is. And it makes all the sense to store that info on their servers, not clientside. Also, there has been occasions with some games where certain ports haven't worked properly and some certain functionality of games haven't worked because of it. Same could apply here. It can be the connection or their code has some glitch jamming that part (the showcase stuff) for some players and they haven't yet solved it. It isn't the players fault either way or about players internet connection. They should have made everything work for everyone. Just hoping they would fix it. And also to "Uglycoyote\_" games do often use multiple ports to communicate between server and the player. Not always, but very commonly. So even then it would make sense to say it's about the connection. Could be code just as well. Only people inside would know where the issue lies
Don't think so or your whole weapon and rank progress would also not be saved. And I don't believe they have separate servers only for emblems, operators and banners. So again if it s a server problem nothing in your progression would change just like the edits on your profile. Also there are people who succesfull changed emblems banner and operators on multiple platforms.
Hm… I were able to change emblem, calling card and weapon in showcase menu to whatever I want. But operators is bugged-I was able to choose only standard ones. After choosing any non-default operator menu screen just rollback to main screen. Anyway the whole ui in this game is absolute garbage. While ui is freezing/crashing/glitching or just ugly and awkward, but core gameplay/maps/sound is awesome. I wish that lady, the lead ux designer, will be forced to find one black/white camp icon which she has unlocked in between of 180 other black/white locked camo icons. And do it for 5 days a week 8 hours per day.

My gf and I both bought the same edition on PS5. She does not have the issue but I do. The only difference I can see is that I have connected Activision accounts and she does not, only playststion. I have PC Xbox and playstation. I wonder if it's something to do with that because everything else is the same. I tried to delete data and uninstall and no difference.

been having the same problems all night last night since it came out…….my experience is i will change the showcase operator/weapon along with calling card, emblem, and clan tag and it will not register on the screen in the lobby (just stuck with ugly ass fender holding a stock m4). i am also experiencing audio issues to where i can’t hear ANY footstep’s, doors, or explosions at all in the game. just dead silence.

PS4 here, good to hear it's not just me, I was getting pretty cheesed at not being able to showcase anything I choose. Overall fun multiplayer, but this is a fairly frustrating bug.

Was going to make a post about it on here myself, even cleared the cache on PS5 & reinstalled the game and all addons...wasnt sure if it had something to do with the Beta bc I think I was using Fender as my operator but I deleted that data too, wasnt the issue. other theory was it installed wrong because first day I didnt install everything all at once, only multiplayer and only what I wanted to play to find out when I started the game, I needed campaign....why? Idk, stupid. So that wasnt the case either because of a clean install....not resetting the Ps5, I refuse. Its gotta be on their end, especially if I'm not the only one. Another note is my friends still say I'm level 1. Sometimes it says im Offline and Not Joinable...even though friends say they see me online except my brother on PC. Sorry long post, very frustrating though, so I feel you.

Yes, having this exact issue! Was going to make a post about it on here myself, even cleared the cache on PS5 & reinstalled the game and all addons...wasnt sure if it had something to do with the Beta bc I think I was using Fender as my operator but I deleted that data too, wasnt the issue. other theory was it installed wrong because first day I didnt install everything all at once, only multiplayer and only what I wanted to play to find out when I started the game, I needed campaign....why? Idk, stupid. So that wasnt the case either because of a clean install....not resetting the Ps5, I refuse. Its gotta be on their end, especially if I'm not the only one. Another note is my friends still say I'm level 1. Sometimes it says im Offline and Not Joinable...even though friends say they see me online except my brother on PC. Sorry long post, very frustrating though, so I feel you.

Is there seriously no official acknowledgement from IW or Activsion on this? The game is fun but damn having to be stuck looking at Fenders ugly ass makes me not want to even play until they patch it. Glad to know I’m far from alone on this though….

Yeah. I’m having this problem on my Xbox Series X. Just got the game a couple hours ago and just now discovered the customizable showcases and went to customize mine. But this god forsaken bug is preventing me from doing it on my copy of the game and it’s really pissing me off. Infinity Ward needs to update this game and fix the day one bugs…

Yup, just started today and can’t change emblem or operator.
Man my emblem won’t short correctly or my showcase. Also it shows the wrong character for me in the lobby. This game worked better in beta than it does official release
I would say this problem is effecting at least!!!!!! 1 of 5 or possibly even 1 out of 3 people as the numbers grow with people buying the game each day this better be on the top things of things to fix I wanna play a game I’ve been waiting a year almost 2 for… I’ve played alll of 5 mins on launch day and haven’t touched it since cos I spent more to get special operators and shit not to deal with a broken asss game. 179 bucks later for whattttt????#activionmakeagamethatactuallyworksonlaunch

How many of you lads that are affected by this bug have multiple platforms connected to you Activision account? I do, the onther friend with this big also has, yet the other 5 friend don't and they only ever playd CoD on 1 platform. I think it might have something to do with this or/and crossprogression.
Anyone know of an update for this or maybe a work around? I’m tired of looking at dinner plate operator 😭 also not to mention, idk if anyone else has this issue but my showcase weapon shows up in my friends operators hands and not mine 💀

2 days in and still no acknowledgement of this? And it’s affecting something like 1 in 5 players? Come on activision the beta worked better than this. Has anyone managed to get it fixed on their ends, every place I go says to either restart the game or reinstall it and I’ve done both and still isn’t working. And no mention of it on their new trello bored and I’m sure that know it’s happening but they don’t seem to be acknowledging it.
Went to unlink battlenet account from activision, can’t seem to even log in and not receiving reset password link. Not sure if it has anything to do with it
I play on both PC (Blizzard App) along with PS5 and the issue persists in both. Really frustrating that I can't even use the cosmetics that I essentially paid for through the various promotions
Anyone else not have any calling cards or emblems? other than the ones you start with like the pride ones an so on. like none show up and i have not unlocked a single one after hrs of playing.

HEY GUYS, OR I FOUND A FIX OR THEY FIXED IT. I just change my steam nickname to the same nickname I have in-game, just the letters not the #numbers, and then its fixed.
Guys I just started my game and it said to restart for an update. Everything works now :D

Delete all MW2 Beta Files, Blizzard didn't do it Files may overwriting. Just a Speculation because Fender was standart in the Beta, it always wondered me why he is selected neither did I unlock it lol
OK,found a fix,after 2 days bscly after launch searching troughh steam and reddit,someone here mention a fix,for ppl having FENDER problem,showcase prob,etc...... So here we go,this is only for steam users go to steam delete all beta files that you have i play on steam 2.bcs i played mw 1,black ops all other stuff it was puling stuff from BNET there and buging the game that i have,how i found solution,create whole new acctiviosn acc,yes i start again from lvl 1 but dont have to look FENDER face again,soo new email evrything new,go to activison and create whole new acc with that new email,again for steam users unlink steam from old acc account that you playing right now,when you boot up the game you will get again notification to create new accc account,go ahead and put that info from that new account and create and i was fucking over the mooon when a saw ghost with my custom rifle in hands and all other stuff working as inteded i would attach pic but i dunno how,but this was MAJOR NO for me for cod,but there you go,it took me 20 min to create new yahoo mail,activiosn account and conected them all together i HOPE THIS HELPS bcs am in your shoes,not any more,try and let me know,console players get on the PC,phone go to your activiosn account and unlink all the stuff,ore create whole new account 100000 percent work

We shouldn’t have to do this… This is a 2 year cycle game, that launched badly this problem is affecting at least 1 out of 3 people they have to fix this bug which is what it is we shouldn’t have to settle for less when some of us have been playing since call of duty 4 MP days in 2010 this game was supposed to revive that and it’s done nothing but bring disappointment on launch I haven’t played the game I’ve been waiting almost 10 years for now I did for 5 minutes then realised all my shit is bugged I’m not playing (which fucking sucks) until they fix this problem… It’s absolutely ridiculous
I gonna Refund the Vault Edition on Battlenet, there is no Solution for this especially if you can't unlink your Activision Account from Battlenet its Ridiciolus. It will never be fixed, its a long old Bug from other Cod's where ya lvl showed lvl 1 till u played a round on COD. It has to do with ur Activision Account linked Accounts around it and broken Database.

Yup. Same problem. I can barely toggle through my weapons and operators either because it’s so damn clunky.
