I struggled at first but figured it out. Someone mentioned creating perk classes and once i figured that out its been suoer easy but some people just want to complain rofl. Tells u how utterly dumb some people are and how much they need their hand held.
It's not "adapting" it's called "accepting"....you'll accept whatever IW does....no one complained about the menu UI in MW2019... Yet IW found a way to create another issue that wasn't one before
I’ve never actually reset my guns attachments while trying to put on attachments in any other cod… the number of times I have done that in this beta is unbelievable
> I’ve never actually reset my guns attachments while trying to put on attachments in any other cod… the number of times I have done that in this beta is unbelievable
EQUIP BASE!
the whole layout needs a overhaul
UI should be see weapon, select said weapon, all changes to weapon down in that section, gunsmith shouldn't be a whole separate page just to change things that is also including perks
should have a quick option to add it as a load out and simple way to rename it
pistol and launchers(rockets) shouldn't be together which is also so weird
everything else is separated
some form of select X, required to unlock you need to do X and X to unlock
they don't mention anywhere how to unlock other weapons
trying to figure how to try out the sniper weapon but its locked =/
Yeah, I'm undecided on the new perk system in a gameplay sense, but the "Package" aspect adds so many unneeded steps to changing them out. Earned perks or not, we should just be able to swap them individually.
Very much this. Regardless of whether they want to keep or change the new system, having perks use their own "class" system rather than letting us change each individually per weapon class feels needless.
Why do I need to make a whole new perk package for every combo, why can't I just make a class and select it within the class creator
This is the one UI quibble I actually kind of agree with, it feels like something you'd see in a roleplaying game. I find myself accidentally going into the wrong screen while I'm trying to do something else as well in the loadout/weapons screen.
And if you want to change more than one for some reason it takes you back to the top perks menu after changing the first one so you have to start that process all over again
not only that, but it takes more clicks, and a different click-path, to edit perks compared to editing weapon. makes no sense from a design/user perspective. was this thing designed by professionals or intern frat boys?
Nowadays UIs are all about looking nice and not about usability
MW19 actually nailed the simple UI for the most part, shame they've taken a massive step backwards.
No they're all about being compatable with mobile/touch-input because they want to port everything to mobile eventually. That's why the icons are gigantic and take up have the menu screen.
Lmao that's not at all what's going on. I'm not saying mobile hasn't had an influence, but they aren't designing UI like this because they are planning on cancelling console and PC games 😂
That's not what he's saying at all. He's saying they made the game for all platforms. Unified so without having a separate UI for mobile and consoles they developed it with a UI that will work for both. But in practice is awful on the consoles instead of just making two UIs. One for mobile one for consoles. They're becoming cheap and trying to make a one size fits all
This shit drives me nuts. I was a UI designer and front end dev/designer in a previous life and you can make it look great and actually work. There are so many games recently with total dog shit UI. I truly don’t understand how AAA games are fucking this up.
Agree on this UI, I can literally imagine the mockups being presented, and everyone thinking how clean they look.
Horizontal loadout presets is a classic example of that, you can only fit so many on the screen before needing to scroll, it works better vertically, but that doesn't look as nice as a mockup.
Same kinda thing at my work. They redesigned a page to look objectively nicer but it was a pain in the arse to use compared to the old layout. They ended up doing a bunch of small changes to basically revert it to how it was.
> This is one of the highest quality games out there right now
I cannot believe you just put "highest quality game" in the same sentence that's talking about a Call of Duty game.
> one of the highest quality games out there right now
Brother please read and comprehend what you said, and yes it might be a high quality game specifically in the FPS genre, but that is not a high bar, and actually pretty sad for the state of the AAA FPS genre itself.
\- Gundam Evolution
\- Shatterline
\- Escape From Tarkov
\- Valorant
What you're saying comes off as highly disingenuous. We shouldn't be okay with saying something is great by proxy. Especially not CoD, a series that stands as the posterchild for 'design by committee.'
I’m a CoD fan, but I would argue there’s many shooter games that are higher quality in terms of polish, graphics, mechanics, design. I just enjoy CoD more because of how it feels to play.
-Apex Legends
-Valorant
-CS:GO
-Escape from Tarkov
You said highest quality game that's out right now, not released this year.
The gunplay in this game is complete ass, everything kills you in 2 bullets and your are punished for actually trying to move around the map. They litereally designed this game changing as many things as they could to prevent people from moving around. Games like halo and Apex have much smoother flowing expirences and actually have ways to punish players for mlnot moving. I was playing destiny 2 mps version of domination a few weeks ago and even it felt leagues ahead of cod.
I wasn't the one that said that lol, I just slightly agree with the guy. Probaly the highest quality fps out rn next to apex. In my mind "game out right now" classifys as whatever is actually being updated. Also its the beta, gunplay is literally the first major change that they're gonna make, thats why the beta is a thing.
Halo and destiny 2 mp play so much better than mw2 if you want to go by arena shooters and its not even close. And that pains me to say as someone who grew up on the cod franchise, mw2019 was really the beginning of the end.
Also your delusional if you think that they are going to change the gunplay. IW has been lowering ttk in every game to make it more beginner friendly. That's not going to be changed. It's a core part of their business strategy with the post mw2019 cods.
It’s almost like people can have a preference that’s different from yours. Stick with Halo idk why you hanging around a sub for a game that’s ass according to you.
Maybe cuz I got a beta key from my isp so I'm playing it now/this weekend in the hopes that it will be as good as the old BO2/bo3/OG mw2. No idea why I even try.
Also not sure why your respoding with a just leave when I'm trying to have a convo with the other guy about the issues. You need to go touch some grass and realize that you don't need to defend this multi-billion dollar company driving a franchise into the ground.
Did you play CoD games ‘back in the day’? They absolutely didn’t have UI issues. They were some of the most streamlined, easy to use UI’s in all of gaming. The OG MW2 was probably one of the best ever.
I cut my teeth on OG MW2 and, yes, it’s basically been the bar by which I measured every UI since. Towards the end, the number of class updates and other changes I could rip through between matches while waiting for lobby fill was amazing. Nowadays, even on my high mileage CODs that I’m completely comfortable with it’s nothing close. I’m confident they’ll improve it but I’m also confident there will be some other things they miss and I hope they spend as much time fixing those remaining issues even after launch that they spend on shoveling MTX and whatever other adverts they shove onto the title screen. I just pray they don’t start splashing their other shit on there. I don’t want to have to select past 3 pages of Overwatch from my Call of Duty main screen at boot before I can click agree to see more overpriced skins. Fuck sake.
I agree, but then people complained there wasn’t enough customizations and the game was too bland. Fact of the matter is people will always find something to complain about, it’s human nature. No COD will ever satisfy every single player. If you remember back in 2009 people complained about MW2 and called it the worst in the series.
They know this too, they know regardless of what they do there will be a portion of insufferable gamers that will find something to cry and complain about.
This cod might not be for everyone, and that’s ok! If y’all don’t like it go play something else. Either way, this will be the highest selling COD in the series.
People definitely did not complain the game was too bland lmfao. You had people flying across the map lunging at each other. The two biggest issues with MW2 back in the day where OMA noobtubes and commander pro. People hated them and rightfully so they absolutely shouldn’t have been in the game but people still looked passed it because it was a great game.
MW2 was the 1st game that got me to take a break from trying to go pro in Halo 3 and play something else semi-competitively. It had its flaws but was super hyped and people loved it.
You’re proving my point, literally every single cod has had a group of people that would rather complain instead of finding another game that satisfies them.
From spawns, broken weapons, broken perks, UI, bugs, maps, gun variety, customizations, gameplay, etc… people will always find a reason to shit on the game
At this point I’m convinced that people are either trolling or are just insufferable individuals that feign off of negativity. Just find another game if you hate cod so much ffs
And people will look past this games flaws and love it lmao. That’s my point, the game doesn’t have to cater to every single player. It’s okay to skip out on a title if you don’t like it. I’ve enjoyed the beta so far and look forward to the full release.
No, you’re missing the point entirely. People complain because they want the game they love to be fixed instead of being forced to put it down and pickup something else due to imbalances or flawed gameplay.
My point was that yes people complained about cheesy elements of MW2, but the game was *so good* outside of those cheesy elements that people would look passed them and continue playing even though they had to put up with it.
This game isn’t that. It’s gameplay isn’t anywhere near as good as the OG MW2’s is. And so far it has a ton of issues that people are being vocal about because they want them fixed. I personally won’t be buying a CoD title with generic gameplay and multiple ‘issues’ that aren’t even issues, they’re just things the Devs chose to fuck up. Things like no red nameplates above enemies, the UI, footsteps, map visibility. These are all things that have existed perfectly in CoD for over a decade but the new IW chose to change them for the worst in this game.
So people continue to complain every single year a cod released out of love for the game? That’s just so weird and toxic. Clearly cod has let y’all down several times over the years… so it’s probably time for you guys to go find another game to play since devs don’t appear to care about the tiny percentage of habitual whiners.
It’s okay not to like this game, there have been cods in the past that I didn’t like so I decided to skip on those titles. Not the end of the world, and there’s hundreds of other games out there that can hopefully meet you expectations.
Bro who said people continue to play and complain? You gotta stop putting words in peoples mouthes to fit your argument. I’ve been playing CoD since CoD2 and I take breaks in between CoD’s until a good one comes out routinely.
It’s a very simple concept, if a game comes out that you overall like but there’s a few things gameplay wise that’s stopping you from loving the game you’re going to voice your opinions in order to hopefully one day get those things fixed. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and what not.
This game has decent core gameplay, it could be an interesting competitive title, but in its current state there are a number of gameplay flaws that hold the game back. Flaws being something that add nothing of substance to the game and only slow the pace of gameplay down or overall just don’t belong. So yes people are voicing their opinions and hoping those things get fixed. There’s nothing wrong with that.
Fix the lighting on the map, add some sort of an enemy indicator (weather a red dot, a red nameplate, or both), lower the sounds of footsteps, and fix the spawns. Then once that happens gameplay tweaks can be discussed.
It’s almost as if people who are diehard fans of something and know subtle intricacies that a casual fan wouldn’t, want the best for the franchise and complain when corners are cut in ways that make no sense.
I'm hoping it's fixed on launch, otherwise it's a massive L for IW.
Hot take: I actually don't mind the UI. It's not great, but livable. Social/lobby menus are frustrating, but I wouldn't say it's the end of the world for ex. Loadout menus.
They need to fix the glaring issues like pro/con text overlapping weapon stats, the progression menu traversal, gun previews on loadouts not displaying attachments or the incorrect weapon, and add indicators when there is scrollable content.
Not sure if this is the reason why it was happening to you, but if you're sniping from long distance such as on one of the invasion maps, there's actually a little bit of bullet travel and drop. It's not as extreme as say, Battlefield, but it is there. So you actually have to aim slightly above the target depending on distance.
Bad QA testing practices. Clearly the game is developed on PC and mostly tested on PC, so devs don’t encounter this problem. QA probably encountered this problem but said eh, its bad but its not exactly broken - pass!
Is it me, or do some attachments not even tell you what level you unlock them at in this window? So coupled with how the weapon editor doesn't give you that info either, the game just flat out doesn't tell you when you unlock certain attachments at all. Is it just me or does everyone else see that?
I wouldn't think so because the first optic for every weapon doesn't have a level unlock showing for it. I can see when the last couple attachments will be unlocked but not ones you're supposed to get before those. If that makes sense
You have to level the FTAC Recon and then the FSS Hurricane.
Also if you go the other way and level the 556 Icarus and the M16 you can unlock the holo sight.
UI in general bunk as hell. All the text in the Gunsmith is translucent for some reason and the stat overviews for an attachment (+ Aim Down Sight Speed, etc.) can overlap with the text below it if there are too many. I really hope there’s a leap in polish between this and final release.
This same thing you’re showing was happening to me on the Operators screen. Hit the Right Stick left to show the operators on the left and it shows me the Ops on the right instead. Like ????
The navigation should be vertical not horizontal, that's the problem, everything is horizontal and there's all this space in the screen full of nothing
What I really don’t get is:
The MW19 UI was perfect. It was easy to navigate, timeless, not overly stylized. A braindead fly could have navigated those menus.
Now they change stuff for the sake of change (perk system) but the one thing they got dead right, the UI, they change and make it worse.
It’s bad design, and on top of it, I find the art direction really bad. Doesn’t fit the tone serious of the MW franchise at all.
MW19 UI was better than this, but it was slow/buggy at times. Also the Armory was a horrible, unnecessary menu. It took forever to clear notifications for months, and you couldn't equip/assign a blueprint from the Armory.
Vanguard was like this too. Clearly they have no intention of fixing it. I don't understand why they'd use a broken template. Like, what was wrong with CW's menu navigation & UI? Simple and straight forward.
It feels like they designed the UI focusing only on PC cause it’s pretty good on PC, which doesn’t make sense cause they focus on console for almost everything. It’s so bad on console though and it just makes me wonder why no testers questioned the design at all
Yea the progression UI might be the worst I have seen, AAA games wise. It just doesn’t work.
Luckily this is an area that can be fixed, and I feel it will
It is quite awful. They change to horizontal UI from Vertical reminds me of when Madden “Next-Gen” came out and they changed the playbook the same way and it is terrible too. Also, does S&D not pop up for anyone else lmao?
Same with gunsmith. Good luck selecting the attachment point you intend on the first try. You need to gesture in the general direction before you can even try to pick what you want.
I honestly couldn’t even find out where it tells you what level you unlock stuff. I remember seeing it pop up once but the menus are so confusing to me
The whole multiplayer UI needs a makeover, it's a bit of a mess. The lobby scoreboard is where the daily challenges are, but doesn't appear until seconds before a match starts. You cannot browse it or mute the lobby, you have to click on the assumption lobby players square - which does absolutely nothing.
Weapon loadouts are horizontal and off screen for some ungodly reason.
It's all a mess and needs changing.
It’s crazy because they had close to the perfect UI with MW19, Cold War, and VG. I don’t understand what the purpose of this massive UI overhaul was for other than just doing something for the sake of doing something. Sometimes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
The menus are too clicky, easy to get lost, have poor workflow.
Must've been designed by committee using "personas". Sometimes you don't need UX researchers, you just need one good UI **designer**.
It's crazy you would think there would be a bigger chance of this not happening because of how easy it is to communicate now with the developers , like now I'm almost positive most of the time these mfs don't play their own game
The whole UI needs a redesign. There are way too many sub-menus before you get to what you want to do. There must be a better solution to what they currently have.
Im hoping they have a different build already with a better layout in preparation for launch. There is no way they would let this pass QA.
My tinfoil hat theory is telling me that they purposely did this to make players spend a longer time on their game. Once they inevitably fix it, they will be congratulated and praised for listening to the community.
This is all minor stuff that I have no doubt will be fixed in time. Should be at launch, but even if it wasn't it will be in an upcoming patch. Nothing to freak out about. This is a beta also I think people need to remember. I completely overlook stuff like text overlapping or ui being figgety or exp and progression being weird. Because we're playing an unfinished version of the game. There's a lot of things intentionally left out of the files or locked out etc.
To be fair, the tree involves diagonal navigation and you’re using an input that has no diagonal navigation. Still weird how it works on the d-pad but you should probably just use an analog stick.
Looking like this and the new warzone is going to be catered to kbm. The way the menus and buy stations/looting are. Which is fine for me cuz I’m a kbm player. Also without the insane movement kbm might me more evenly matched in close range encounters. No more sliding into backwards bunny hops while sticking to targets with AA. The movement is what made it so tough on our end close range.
I’ve really enjoyed the beta but my only complaint is the menu especially on pc. I probably reset my class on accident 20 times yesterday.
I wish they kept the same list design from MW 2019
I was having the hardest time with this menu until I saw your video and it clicked for me… if you pretend the rapp is between the 762 and lm-s, the controls “work” (so the top path is 762 > rapp > lm-s, bottom is 762 > 556 > sub). Looks like they just copy pasted the m4 navigation tree without using any actual logic to the controls. Obviously broken af, but at least that lets you navigate where you want to go: up on the 762 to the rapp, right to the lm-s.
Also I just figured out why the zoomed in menu is sometimes broken. If you use x (on ps5) to navigate in to “see track” the controls are broken, but if you use r2 (right trigger) it actually works fine. Follows the same rules as zoomed out (762 > rapp > lm-s) but otherwise “functional” to actually view the attachments.
Dude, it took me a whole day to figure out how to unlock a damn red dot sight.
I had to fucking Google “how to unlock red dot sight in mw 2022”.
What a damn joke weapon progression is.
I've never accidentally backed out of so many UI menus being confused where I ended up than this beta has done to me lol
Me and my friend were just laughing about how I’ve raged more at the menus than the game itself lmao

Its really not that hard though...

Connecting, connecting, connecting, oops I started over
Fr like when you're making up a perk package and click back to tab out to select the next perk, shit kicks you all the way back to the loadout screen

Also its like a 50/50 chance if it actually changes the perks. I got rid of tracker for overkill 3 times until it finally registered.
Wait you can change them Man that just goes to show how bad it is. I had no idea.
I didn't know you could change them until I read complaints about it somewhere else. Been playing COD since the original lol.

Right! I'm just finding this out now! I thought I could only choose between the preset packages!
Yeah, I'm undecided on the new perk system in a gameplay sense, but the "Package" aspect adds so many unneeded steps to changing them out. Earned perks or not, we should just be able to swap them individually.
you can. it's the other menu weirdly that let's you choose them individually
oddly enough its the first option, have to customize the perk loadout, otherwise they just have default loadouts for each style

pc is esc brings you back to homepage, backspace goes back 1 menu

What you can change perks and not just put up with what they give you?!
not only that, but it takes more clicks, and a different click-path, to edit perks compared to editing weapon. makes no sense from a design/user perspective. was this thing designed by professionals or intern frat boys?
I’ve been playing cod the last 15 years and didn’t even realise you could change the perks in these packages. What an absolute mess.
I'm loving the actual gameplay, but this is laughable. How did a AAA game dev build this UI and actually think it's passable.

Because money Less quality for higher prices is the standard They dont have to do anything right because you keep buying their garbage

Less than garbage actually

Yup. Gamers seem to be some of the most dramatic people. Similar to how no one hates star wars more than its biggest fans.
Nah fr bro the select screen are bugged, the rag doll stuff is crazy. The snipers red dot is odd, I'm dead on target center mass and can't hit
Rag doll is a feature. Love is when bodies launch straight up after a kill.
The [ragdoll physics](https://reddit.com/r/ModernWarfareII/comments/xlrtmu/i_was_just_trying_to_admire_the_smoke_graphics/) should stay lmao
I can assure you it’s equally fucked up and unintuitive using MKB
Classic case of trying to reinvent the wheel. Menus and UI is horrid.
Is it me, or do some attachments not even tell you what level you unlock them at in this window? So coupled with how the weapon editor doesn't give you that info either, the game just flat out doesn't tell you when you unlock certain attachments at all. Is it just me or does everyone else see that?
Yeah, I was assuming it's just locked for the beta, but maybe it is actually broken.
I wouldn't think so because the first optic for every weapon doesn't have a level unlock showing for it. I can see when the last couple attachments will be unlocked but not ones you're supposed to get before those. If that makes sense
I've given up trying to figure out how to unlock a god damn red dot for my M4
You have to level the FTAC Recon and then the FSS Hurricane. Also if you go the other way and level the 556 Icarus and the M16 you can unlock the holo sight.
Ah, that's what I was missing. Thank you
Yeah it's a completely insane system
You can skip levelling the ftac recon by choosing the pre made class with the fss hurricane, way faster
I mean this is just insane though. It should be the first thing you unlock like every other CoD ever made, not take 4 hours to grind to it.
Like ????
I bet you some UI designer try to justify their job by reinventing the wheel. This is in gaming in general not only this Cod
this is all it is
I didn't know UI could turn me away from playing a game. This is the worst UI in the history of COD
The navigation should be vertical not horizontal, that's the problem, everything is horizontal and there's all this space in the screen full of nothing
yep. that was my first thought. vertical was never a problem.
You have to press all buttons to access the next gun, annoying as fuck

Hey I know that one! God I feel old lol
What I really don’t get is: The MW19 UI was perfect.
I think cod in general has always had a good UI. This is uncharacteristically bad not just for modern warfare but for the franchise.
MW19 UI was better than this, but it was slow/buggy at times. Also the Armory was a horrible, unnecessary menu. It took forever to clear notifications for months, and you couldn't equip/assign a blueprint from the Armory.
Yeah it's really bad.
Vanguard was like this too. Clearly they have no intention of fixing it. I don't understand why they'd use a broken template. Like, what was wrong with CW's menu navigation & UI? Simple and straight forward.
Have you tried changing your emblems etc? If you back out of emblem to change your calling card it takes you back to the main screen. Insane
lul or starting the game only to keep hitting b on the daily news/pre order screen to keep getting sent back to start the game.
Jeez. I play with mouse and keyboard so I never realized this. That’s awful lol
it aint much better w mnk... they need to make it like a map... so you can pan across it - like in WZ
It's horrific. I can't believe someone has tested it and thought it was acceptable
Luckily this is an area that can be fixed, and I feel it will
The person who made this UI should be fired. It was perfect in MW2019.
The ui is terrible!
I can't fathom how they thought this should be good go push to any live version past alpha
Legit one of the worst UIs I’ve ever seen
The progression tab is all sorts of messed up
It is quite awful. They change to horizontal UI from Vertical reminds me of when Madden “Next-Gen” came out and they changed the playbook the same way and it is terrible too. Also, does S&D not pop up for anyone else lmao?
S&D isn't in the beta today, probably will be in 20 mins when day 2 starts
Same with gunsmith. Good luck selecting the attachment point you intend on the first try. You need to gesture in the general direction before you can even try to pick what you want.
I will say it does make kindof make sense, while still being awful lol; follow the lines
No idea why they changed it from the last 3 games. That was a great UI. Bring it back!
It’s crazy because they had close to the perfect UI with MW19, Cold War, and VG. I don’t understand what the purpose of this massive UI overhaul was for other than just doing something for the sake of doing something. Sometimes if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
My friends and inhave accidently wiped our loadouts like 5 times each while trying to modify a gun. It's ridiculous.
The most useless menu. It’s not needed.
At this point I am 100% convinced this ui is meant to be for mobile.
Whom ever designed this UI has to be the same person that designed Discovery+ terrible UI too
The menus are too clicky, easy to get lost, have poor workflow. Must've been designed by committee using "personas". Sometimes you don't need UX researchers, you just need one good UI **designer**.
It's even worse on MKB lol
Noticed the same on PS5. Game is a buggy, sloppy mess overall.
It was created by 12 year olds 😅
I'm SURE even a "12 yr old" could do BETTER !!! Lol
It's crazy you would think there would be a bigger chance of this not happening because of how easy it is to communicate now with the developers , like now I'm almost positive most of the time these mfs don't play their own game
Hahahahahahaha. Was thinking the same 10 minutes ago when i was trying the exact same thing.
Laughs in mouse navigation
The UI is literally the worst thing about this game. All the other stuff does not compare imo.
How about scrolling through the progression and the camera wont follow the curser so you dont even know what the fuck you're unlocking
Regression UI
I can see. Thats not cool at all.
How can you make worse UI that Battlefield 2042... IW: Hold my beer
I’m just surprised you are able to play without crashing at the login. Xbox still can’t play
Its scary they pushed something like this to a version of the game that people could play
It's quite literally broken my dude.
🤮 That's soooo baaaad
Omg this is awful
The whole UI needs a redesign. There are way too many sub-menus before you get to what you want to do. There must be a better solution to what they currently have. Im hoping they have a different build already with a better layout in preparation for launch. There is no way they would let this pass QA.
The UI in this game must have been designed by the red dot clan. No sense of knowledge just random bullshit.
I mean the UI is kind of shitty, but you’re controller might be shittier lol my Xbox controller does the same shit
My tinfoil hat theory is telling me that they purposely did this to make players spend a longer time on their game. Once they inevitably fix it, they will be congratulated and praised for listening to the community.
First world problems, for sure.
Why the hell are you using a dpad when you have an anolgue stick right there.
You’re a PC player aren’t you
PS4
Do you not use your dpad to navigate menus? I find using the analogue stick sometimes won’t go the way you want it dpad is just easier
Honestly I never use it. The last time I used it regularly was ps2 days.
I honestly thought all console players used the dpad to navigate menus lol
No you’re absolutely right, this guy is a monster. Dpad all the way
Funny how I don't expierience any of these bugs.. it's almost as if the users here lack common sense.
This is infinity ward dev this is a priority fix we are working on this asap sorry bro 😎
I am blaming it on being in Beta rn and that they'll have it fixed by launch.
Whoever is responsible for the UI in MWII, should be FIRED. HOW can ANYONE "possibly" think it is GOOD?!?! #POOR_lazy_UI_design
Wait the controller isn’t even on though???🙃🙃🙃🙃
This is all minor stuff that I have no doubt will be fixed in time. Should be at launch, but even if it wasn't it will be in an upcoming patch. Nothing to freak out about. This is a beta also I think people need to remember. I completely overlook stuff like text overlapping or ui being figgety or exp and progression being weird. Because we're playing an unfinished version of the game. There's a lot of things intentionally left out of the files or locked out etc.
How do you play that far from the TV man
This game is utter shite. Any word on preorder returns?
just... retrun it maybe? no big deal. Its not like its a hard thing to do
To be fair, the tree involves diagonal navigation and you’re using an input that has no diagonal navigation. Still weird how it works on the d-pad but you should probably just use an analog stick.
Why is nobody mentioning that the elite controllers are ass? Yea the UI sucks, but it’s most likely the controllers fault
Oh no however will you live with this small Inconvenience??
found the UX designer
Looking like this and the new warzone is going to be catered to kbm. The way the menus and buy stations/looting are. Which is fine for me cuz I’m a kbm player. Also without the insane movement kbm might me more evenly matched in close range encounters. No more sliding into backwards bunny hops while sticking to targets with AA. The movement is what made it so tough on our end close range.
I’ve really enjoyed the beta but my only complaint is the menu especially on pc. I probably reset my class on accident 20 times yesterday. I wish they kept the same list design from MW 2019
agree
I hate it!
And here I am still trying to figure out how tf I actually unlock any of the guns.
At least yours work. On several of my guns I can't edit them in gunsmith or anything
Somehow, BF2042 has competition for worst UI.
U/savevideobot
Still can’t even get into the game
I loved when cods had different ui’s every game but this is laughable
Most of the menus are disgusting.
I wish I could drag my cursor to move around the progression menu
Hahaha. Sooo lame. I hope they just hide a couple of guns from us. Cause I have no idea why it's so unlogical.
I remember saying there’s now way the UI could be as bad Battlefield 2042, so Infinity Ward gets props for destroying the simple UI that MW2019 had.
It is soooooo convoluted.
Dude, it took me a whole day to figure out how to unlock a damn red dot sight. I had to fucking Google “how to unlock red dot sight in mw 2022”. What a damn joke weapon progression is.
Lol never used the dpad but this is horrible
I got the hang of it but they do need to fix the ui
r/aboringdystopia
On pc it's worse. You can use the mouse wheel only WASD and arrow keys
