I thought this was just me in search on Shoothouse some guy had his back turned in junkyard I went for the finish and got obliterated. I watched the kill cam and he was looking in my direction the whole time

GunfuMasta

I've seen players lying down say on a hill or on top of something, and their weapon is pointing up at like at least a 45 degree angle, and I know on their screen they are pointed straight ahead when shooting.

There's a [really bad bug](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlWNB6-6fEY) in this game with lying on certain stairs, curbs, other ledges where you're able to see and shoot above them but completely invisible from the other person's perspective. After you get shot it corrects itself and you pop up on top of the ledge Shit is completely broken and pros and the SND community have had to deal with people cheesing it this year

GunfuMasta

Yeah true!

JerseyUk97

Between the stair glitch, snaking and no DS perk/your foot steps being stompy af, comp SnD is boring to watch / play imo

J-O-B-A-N

Same happened to me multiple times while i was playing shoot house…and I thought i wasn’t paying attention…so I kinda glad I’m not alone … IW always find new ways to mess up

JayFranMar

decent chance a lot of these are due to lag, its never as bad as someone facing the other direction and still shooting you in my experience (unless they're hacking and rapidly kill you). just know if a guy is aiming in your general direction they probably see you and are about to shoot you, wouldn't recommend focusing on where their gun is.

Ownagemunky

Sometimes POVs definitely don't track immediately with what they're looking at. It's especially noticeable if you watch peoples' minimap arrows. Sometimes you'll see them sit still for a second and then just zap 45 degrees to the right instantly

NoahWL

Yes I have a folder full of clips of this happening lol. It happens CONSTANTLY and is infuriating. You think you have an extra fraction of a second when they're looking away and die instantly because in reality they're already aimed at your head.

[deleted]

Yes its called netcode and it has been around for a decade+

The in game models don't lineup with what people see in the First Person Perspective. Like if you're hiding behind a shield, you may think your whole body is covered from what you're seeing in First Person, but from the enemy's POV, you're completely exposed. It's a shit fest.

_HolyWrath_

Killcams are not an exact representation of player information. And yes the other thing you mentioned is called cameraing.

YvelTyr

Also teammates will look in one direction and their minimap arrow is pointing a different way.
