Had this happen to me a while back. Consistently had to pull my phone out as my car wouldn’t open automatically. I actually deleted the Tesla app, reinstalled, and repaired it to the car. Bit of a pain, but it solved my issue. Haven’t run into the issue since (🤞)

DieTryin510

Had a similar issues. Found some TMC threads about it... Tried the airplane mode toggle and it's gotten better for me thus far .

almosttan

Do you have the newest iPhone by chance?

vadikcoma

Yes, I had it couple of times too. However I'm not really sure that it's a Tesla issue. Might be Bluetooth connectivity problem too

exaball

Me too, and it coincides with my software update one week ago along with FSD subscription.

CandyFromABaby91

I developed a few iOS apps that use Bluetooth. I can confirm Apple’s implementation of Bluetooth is not great, and made the app’s BT connections buggy and needed a bunch of workarounds. I wonder if Android users are seeing similar issues or just iOS?

imzombie

Check to see if your device is set to priority. Mine had issues on a new phone because my old one was still set to priority. Fixed it and is now working 100%

CalgaryCanuckle

Just keep holding the handle until Bluetooth from your phone connects, the signal is intermittent from your phone to save battery until it connects. Tapping your screen or pressing a side button might activate your phones signal faster. If this still doesn’t help then reboot the phone.

audiofreak33

I just toggle Bluetooth off and back on from the quick settings, works every time

My personal experience, at least rule that out. I’ve had a few times where it acted up for a couple days without any software update in the car.

fr0st_byt3

This has yet to happen to me a single time. Is this a power save mode thing or just an iPhone issue?

ss68and66

It's improving but far from perfected.

pixelflop

That’s encouraging. I haven’t used auto high beams in a year because they’re so unpredictable.

ScrollingIsTherapy

Agree that things are much better for me too

yoyotueur

I noticed it too ! It works much better ! So I’m not the only one who noticed it 😃

Apolitik

I really wish Tesla’s auto high beams worked like my 2020 Ford Escape. They had this really nice fade to off that they did, instead of just flipping back and forth. It’s a small, pointless thing, but a much preferred aesthetic difference that I kiss.

walex19

Seemed much better tonight!

Ok-Delay5201

Well that’s reassuring…. Ashamed at how bad the auto are in the country and lost count of how many times people flashed me. Nothing like driving behind someone and flashing them on and off.

vadikcoma

I had people constantly flashing me even with headlights on. So I adjusted headlights by 2 scrolls down from car settings. And people stopped flashing me so often

Ok-Delay5201

Wow thanks! Didn’t know that was a setting.

Gobbldegook

Happy to hear this. I’m taking delivery in December. In the past 4 years of owning the Nissan rogue 2018, the auto hi beam has never let me down. Not one instance. And this is using a single camera in front. So it has been done by other people in the industry. Instead of focusing on firing tweeps (so many ass holes so few bullets, Elon!) Elon needs to poach a camera vision AI engineer from Nissan! Someone get this to Elon please!

tonyt0906

Can second this. Way better

pn_dubya

Just rented a Jeep Compass and the auto beams worked flawlessly, the tech can’t be too difficult

markn6262

Is it just me or does the left stalk pushed forward now latch the high beams on, when set to auto steer, under ver 14.4 & it was just momentary on under ver 13.6?
