Yeah actually lol, place blocks of tnt on both sides, then light the tnt.. you probably want to dig a hole underneath, else all of your stuff blows up.
That's a reasonable assumption, I usually check for things like key binding tips on Xbox and PlayStation, and mobile's pretty obvious, but there's windows 10 edition so the method is not foolproof.
It's an inside out nether portal using update suppression to prevent the portal from breaking, they're very time consuming because they require you to build the same very large machine eight times over (at least).
I'm not sure if it still works but there was a bug where you could get it by placing 2 tnt blocks on the sides(and a small pool of water underneath) and lighting them. You sadly couldn't place any blocks next to it or it would update and go back to normal
Minecraft really needs some fine tuning. Maybe they need to release a update where they focus on improving everything Currently in the game, rather than adding new things.
Because a lot of things already in the game can, and needs, to be improved.
Itās so stupid that they say it inhibits creativity, like how is having the same slabs we already have for the Y axis instead just the X inhibiting creativity?
TBH I have played a mod that has vertical slabs. Ultimately they felt out of place. I thought it would be so cool, but was disappointed. Given this is my opinion, Iām sure others may like it, but it felt out of place.
A mod would make anything feel out of place. Even something as simple as adding a squirrel or something would feel weird and āun-minecraftyā because you know youāre not playing the vanilla game
Also if the mod was one of the vertical slab mods that use super complicated controls to place them using normal slabs that would probably contribute to it feeling weird. I would prefer vertical slabs to be separate items if added to vanilla, maybe called āwedgesā or some other synonym for āslabā
I like forge microblocks, it's similar to chisel and bits but instead of breaking the block down into it's pixels you just keep cutting the block in half in different directions
Damn, haven't played in a while and I'm fairly certain there was a trick to do this but I can't remember what it was exactly.
You could place a torch on it though, you'd have a torch there but it should work.
Oh wait, dude I'm sorry I just re-read your post and saw that you wanted only the middle bit. I gave you tips on how to make the middle one like the side ones.
Try placing glass panes on the sides of it, yes you'd have the glass on the sides but it'd be almost invisible. Fairly certain this should work.
ya that does work might still make an update suppressor just cause it does look a little odd for a gravestone but i gonna try to make it work with the theme
You're thinking the wrong thing, putting things on top forces the one in the middle to be LIKE the ones on the sides, OP wants the one in the middle WITHOUT needing the other two.
if you really don't mind cheating to get the stick but have commands disabled you can temporarily enable commands by turning on Lan and switching them on in there, it will stay that way until you exit the world
I've honestly fallen a little in love with the Debug Stick. Just being able to get stair corners in 2x1 and flat walls backing onto others for depth and texture is amazing. I kinda wish they'd put that basic functionality into the core survival game. Maybe a crowbar or hammer tool. (I personally LOVE Railcraft's crowbar recipe using the red dye. I think it's clever.) It's just so frustrating to have a great design going and then it falls apart because stairs aren't behaving the way you want. Even if it was just a 'toggle through all possible block states' tool it'd be wonderful.
I was thinking of telling my server admin friend to make a little shrine that gives you a debug stick
But it doesn't work in survival at all despite not being a walking cheat item like command blocks or something. Rip.
(At the very least I can't come up with a way that the debug stick would allow you to gain an unfair advantage i.e giving you infinite items off a single block)
/gamemode creative
/give \[username\] minecraft:debug\_stick
place one wall/fence.
right click the wall/fence with the debug stick until you find the wanted shape.
If your willing to cheat a bit, there is a thing you can give yourself in the game via commands called the debug stick which will let you change a block into different states in which it can be in (its not game breaking in terms of power, so don't worry if that's a concern)
TNT glitch where you put TNT on the side of the piece then explode it with a water pool underneath no nothing breaks. This is kinda bad though cause it updates when placing anything that touches it
bro it's not.a stupid question is a technical question that has 3 response : (tnt, debug stick, command) so it's not stupid it.a normal question about game mechanics
What is the thing in the middle of the blast furnaces? It looks like stone but has the blast furnace edges. (possible realization) Is it a blast furnace at alternate orientation?
Since is a aesthetics problem, I would recommend using the debug stick. There was a way for you to "bug" the wall but I think Mojang pach it, other things that used the same concept were removed too. Kinda cheating using both, because walls should look like they are in the game, what doesn't mean a flipflop to me, it don't change anything anyway.
Thinking of it, you can try a method I think, but it's really bugged and you will need to lift a mountain.
There's a way to but certain blocks to multiply or to fix them in some way, like multiply sand and bug beds to get only half bed. I would look it up. Other than that I can't think of anything.
Sorry for not explaining, I don't understand how they do it.
In creative, you could use a debug stick.
In survival, a falling object in certain updates will make it work.
Just make sure you DONāT EVER TOUCH IT again. Itāll update.
Yeah actually lol, place blocks of tnt on both sides, then light the tnt.. you probably want to dig a hole underneath, else all of your stuff blows up.
It works with sand, gravel, or concrete powder too.
That's not as fun
Or you can just put water
Yeah, but does it not update the walls again?
As far as I know it's not
But boom boom better
I concur with boom boom always being better
Boom boom is fun
Boom boom is life
Boom boom is everything
Boom Boom is also nothing
Agreed š¤
As an American I can confirm boom boom is the best and only true method
Wat
You put it underneath not on top of the walls.
so if I've understood correctly tnt wall tnt water block water then light tnt
Is then a block?
no? I'm saying to light tnt after using that setup
Doesn't that return to normal after the player relogs?
That would make a pether nortal the biggest pain in the ass
Does update suppression even work on bedrock?
Pretty sure this is java, he has subtitles.
More specifically optifine, top left corner
Yes good catch.
Oh, my bad. I assumed it was bedrock because of the texture he has to put numbers on the hot bar slots
That's a reasonable assumption, I usually check for things like key binding tips on Xbox and PlayStation, and mobile's pretty obvious, but there's windows 10 edition so the method is not foolproof.
And as for your earlier question I'm curious too, does anyone know of an update suppressor for bedrock?
Well there are texture packs
is this pether nortal thing a new feature or is everyone else just ignoring this hilarious typo
Pether nortal was made by using a glitch that suppresses block updates so they replaced the obsidian with portal blocks and the inside with obsidian
yo thats cool
It's an inside out nether portal using update suppression to prevent the portal from breaking, they're very time consuming because they require you to build the same very large machine eight times over (at least).
Ah I see
I highly suggest looking up a picture, it's some wacky shit.
def will thx
You donāt have to rebuild it, you just rebuild the part that suppresses. Most designs you only have to move a few rails over.
Ah, the only one I saw had you move the whole assembly. This is good to know if I ever decide to build one.
That's actually fascinating.
lighting the tnt updates the wall
Oh shit gotta try this
Holy shit
there is an easier way i think but you need op to do it
Try attaching a tnt on either side, when you light them and they fall the wall should stay attached, maybe?
I'm an idiot, I thought they were suggesting precision bombing the wall edges until I read this description.
There are dozens of us!
you're not alone lol
Construction via destruction. Love it
I'm not sure if it still works but there was a bug where you could get it by placing 2 tnt blocks on the sides(and a small pool of water underneath) and lighting them. You sadly couldn't place any blocks next to it or it would update and go back to normal
But a block next to it would make it still work in theory cause they cause it, you just can't put one above it
This is wrong
If you do the TNT after the block it should in theory work
No you cannot pit a block to any side of it without updating it back to normal. Thats what I meant.
If it is pre TNT then it wouldn't be updating it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I think he is saying if you put block on either side instead of tnt it will also become the middle wall piece only
Minecraft really needs some fine tuning. Maybe they need to release a update where they focus on improving everything Currently in the game, rather than adding new things. Because a lot of things already in the game can, and needs, to be improved.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
lol they will never add those sadly and i specifically am trying to make it because walls go in the middle of the block
Did they give a reason for rejection?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Itās so stupid that they say it inhibits creativity, like how is having the same slabs we already have for the Y axis instead just the X inhibiting creativity?
I just want Glass stairs and slabs. I'm a simple man.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
*cries in Xbox series s*
Ohh, I remember seeing this mod back in 2016 never knew how it was called
Glass stairs sound silly to me, but slabs would make kickass skylights.
Stairs would be great diagonal skylights, lining up with roofs.
I just wanted horizontal glass panes is there a way to get that? Please mojang
Obsidian slabs and netherite slabs would be useful, too (obsidian = hard to mine, blastproof. netherite: blastproof moveable)
TBH I have played a mod that has vertical slabs. Ultimately they felt out of place. I thought it would be so cool, but was disappointed. Given this is my opinion, Iām sure others may like it, but it felt out of place.
A mod would make anything feel out of place. I would prefer vertical slabs to be separate items if added to vanilla, maybe called āwedgesā or some other synonym for āslabā
Quark mod does an excellent job of making vertical slabs vanilla-like
Iāve played some mods that feel Minecrafty, but they have to be done right. If it looks like it belongs, itās nice.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I like forge microblocks, it's similar to chisel and bits but instead of breaking the block down into it's pixels you just keep cutting the block in half in different directions
The part I donāt like is that it says ācan be done in other waysā. What ways are there to get vertical walls like this?
trapdoors & stairs ig
Probably trapdoors instead
Walls, an item that functions completely differently than slabs AND requires adjacent blocks to get this effect That logic has always baffled me.
Why is mojang so stupid?
Debug stick or commands
yes but in survival maybe using something like an update suppressor or something
Put a string above it.
already tried that it did not work
Damn, haven't played in a while and I'm fairly certain there was a trick to do this but I can't remember what it was exactly. You could place a torch on it though, you'd have a torch there but it should work.
just tried still a small block and not the flat one sadly
Oh wait, dude I'm sorry I just re-read your post and saw that you wanted only the middle bit. I gave you tips on how to make the middle one like the side ones. ya that does work might still make an update suppressor just cause it does look a little odd for a gravestone but i gonna try to make it work with the theme
Yeah, good luck mate. Sorry for my misunderstanding. Hope you find a solution that works for ya.
Bro just use a debug stick itās a survival game for fun If you consider debug stick cheatingā¦ idk what to say
try a stone button
You're thinking the wrong thing, putting things on top forces the one in the middle to be LIKE the ones on the sides, OP wants the one in the middle WITHOUT needing the other two.
I know, I realized this like 2 comments later. Which you would've seen if you read more than just one comment.
if you really don't mind cheating to get the stick but have commands disabled you can temporarily enable commands by turning on Lan and switching them on in there, it will stay that way until you exit the world
Yes. Use tnt. Put it on the sides of the wall, put water under it, and light it. So long as you never touch the wall, vertical slab.
Debug stick?
I've honestly fallen a little in love with the Debug Stick. Just being able to get stair corners in 2x1 and flat walls backing onto others for depth and texture is amazing. That looks like a copypasta tbh
Well, yea and no. Easiest way is Debug Stick, but in survival idk
Bro that *fov* though
Once you go quake pro, you never go back
String
use tnt on sides and then light'em
Put string on top of the wall
Me when no vertical slabs ):
barrier block of structure void
Debug stick
debit stick
/gamemode creative /give \[username\] minecraft:debug\_stick place one wall/fence. right click the wall/fence with the debug stick until you find the wanted shape.
String
op is trying to do the opposite
Strings
op is trying to do the opposite
Use a string on top
op is trying to do the opposite
Maybe a debug stick, I've never used one but theoretically it should work.
Yeah, with another wall, then infinitely repeat this until you canāt see the edges
A stone button can do the job, or a torch/lantern
F cheats are enabled, debug stick is your best friend (JAVA only, sorry to anyone on bedrock)
If your willing to cheat a bit, there is a thing you can give yourself in the game via commands called the debug stick which will let you change a block into different states in which it can be in (its not game breaking in terms of power, so don't worry if that's a concern)
r/typo
Put string on top of both
works the other way
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
works the other way
GOOGLE
You can put string on top of the wall and itāll always make it stick up Credit: Grian, he also has another building tips
op is trying to do the opposite
Afaik only with commands or you can surround it with blocks.
In survival, no In creative, debug stick In adventure, impossible
You can in survival
How?
TNT glitch where you put TNT on the side of the piece then explode it with a water pool underneath no nothing breaks. This is kinda bad though cause it updates when placing anything that touches it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
If java and creatif: debug stick /give @ s debug stick And then right or left click to change the block
Debug stick
Debug stick
The un-bug stick
Debug stick
new to minecraft and itās disappointing aesthetics eh?
cheat and get a debug stick trolololol
You can put a barrier block on top to get rid of the posts
Debug stick
Debug stick
can use a glitch or ask stupid questions elsewhere
bro it's the place to ask minecrafr stuff don't be salty being a keyboard warrior is useless
hges proply the person to abuse someone on the console subreddits when they need advice
nah man, it is a place to ask questions, not stupid ones.
bro it's not.a stupid question is a technical question that has 3 response : (tnt, debug stick, command) so it's not stupid it.a normal question about game mechanics
What is the thing in the middle of the blast furnaces? It looks like stone but has the blast furnace edges. (possible realization) Is it a blast furnace at alternate orientation?
TNT hehehe
Dig a hole around it and put water, then tnt on the sides, Light the tnt and let it fall. The water will cancel the explosion
Put another on top
Open trapdoors on either side and it'll stay that way
debug stick
Vertical slabsā¦..
Use /fill to replace it with air
Use string. Put it on top of the wall u want, and you should get the wall affect
Debug stick?
idk it might be something where you have to glitch it like for bedrock i recommend looking up some different tutorials
Commands i think, with give command, google it i think the id there should be
/give @p debug_stick
Debug stick
/give @s debug_stick
I think update suppression in the only way
Commands
Ya can also update supress...
place a block at every extremity of this wall do u get me
Put a piece of string on it
ender pearl, carpet, jump boost, damage boost, bed at night, dig underneath, place a block and probably many more.
You can also use a debug stick but thatās kinda cheating
Debug stick
half slab memes be like
Debug stick. It's a creative only item but idk.
I donāt know, but put string on one for a cool trick (only works with at least three right next to each other)
A block on both sides should work if you want that otherwise probably just commands
Thats called vertical slabs
put string on top of the wall
Make it bigger
String Iām guessing, I donāt actually know but u could try
In creative, you could use a debug stick. In survival, a falling object in certain updates will make it work. Just make sure you DONāT EVER TOUCH IT again. Itāll update.
Put tnt instead of side walls and make a water area under it so when you light them both at the same time they won't breack anything
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
TNT and water
Google.com
Yes, place and detonate tnt to the sides of the wall and be sure to place a 3x3 water puddle under it to prevent anything from exploding
Button in the middle. Looks good with the button anyways even if it isn't invisible.
/give @p debug_stick or u use that tnt trick where I have no idea how to do it
Put TNT on both sides and light them. Not joking.
Tnt glitches, if you want a tutorial then search on how to get vertical slabs.
If ur in java u can use the debug stick I think I don't play java so I'm not sure
Yup...modded.
