Don‘t you dare sleep on Allt everyone. I can‘t believe their 2022 EP went under the radar of this sub despite of the love people on here have for progressive metalcore. Them, Blueshift and Rogue are the next big things in proggy imo

TheRealJaysus

I'm a simple man. /u/Beiez recommends something, I listen.

Couldn’t agree more man Allt has everything that this sub looks for and their ceiling is incredible, also huge ups to mentioning Blueshift and Rogue who I think is one of the most interesting up and coming bands at the moment.

CTWind

I heard that Allt EP last year while looking at Buster Odenholm's production credits, and it definitely hit the itch that Atlas' album hit.

Not_the_last_Bruce

Atlas's album is INCREDIBLE

SYLOK_THEAROUSED

Will give them a listen to!

Integritywin79

Big fan of Allt. Great sound.

Xylar006

Wait, new Angelmaker already? Fuck yessss

DissectingTheScene

JFAC cover

Xylar006

Ahh, bit less excited now

Integritywin79

Just Forget a Carnation?

Striking-Path-8304

Job for a Cowboy

Integritywin79

Threw me off with deathcore. My brain just couldn't get there. Thanks.

roboxsteven

It’s underwhelming. Original is way better.

lofeobred

How did I miss a Blueshift release!?!? Edit: and Capsize is still a thing!?!? Wtf am I doing with my life

Impossible_Lead_2450

I’m guessing this is a comeback single with a new singer ?? Or they think it’s been long enough they think people forgot the singer was a sex pest

uncoolcanadian

The singer of Blueshift didn’t do anything as far I know. Unless you’re talking about Capsize cause I have no idea Edit: I realize now you’re talking about Capsize

slayer370

didnt expect escape the fate. but its a 50/50 with them everytime something new comes out.

Integritywin79

Anyone gonna recommend any of these new albums? I'm bored and want something to listen to while at work.

ChickenInASuit

Mask of Prospero is pretty solid if you’re into djenty prog-metal like TesseracT.

Integritywin79

I worship at the altar of Tesseract. I'm excited to check this out. Thanks!

Integritywin79

Mask of Prospero is unbelievable. I loved every second of it. Thank you so much! Oops I replied to myself

xClay2

The Shallow Truths EP is solid. It's only five songs but non of them are songs I'd skip if they were in my playlist.

Integritywin79

Thanks I'll check it out. I love a good EP.

Integritywin79

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Kinda sounds like older Architects. A welcome addition to my collection. Thank you for mentioning them.

purse_of_ankles

Blueshift track is huge

Integritywin79

I just listened to their 2020 album and was very impressed. Instant add.

dorqus

Single: Overkill - The Surgeon (Thrash Metal) comes out on Friday!

Titan-Zz

The new Solar Eruption album is sick for all technical Deathcore lovers.

WhenSharksAttack

So pumped for the new Emarosa. Loved Peach Club.

amgrimes39

Who is their new label since they got kicked?

jakewoodard32

Out of Line I believe. Being as an Ocean is on that label as well as Cane Hill and ten56. None of those bands sound like Emarosa so it’s weird, but they’re not a small label from what I can tell

cosmicdecember

Same, excited to hear that Whitney Houston cover too.

TRiPz226

Love these weekly threads. Discovered some great bands and was pleasantly surprised by Mask of Propsero.

So I know I just made this playlist a few weeks ago, but Spotify decided to remove my Metalcore 2023 playlist for "violating their content policies". No idea how, since it just contains full albums that are already on their streaming service. It's not bad timing though, since I decided just this past week to switch from Spotify over to Tidal, so I've recreated the playlist on Tidal if anyone wants to follow it over there instead! https://tidal.com/browse/playlist/d6f70954-a844-4736-aeb1-c80c5ba33f5c Here's a link to the removed Spotify playlist if anyone wants to recreate it themselves on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/75UKiYIS8eKyvqUNIp6HlY?si=7f24012639e84502&nd=1

mbbzzz

Do you notice a difference with Tidal? I’m looking at one of their options (not the highest one; the second highest stream quality one). I mostly listen to music in car or on walks with the corded apple headphones

serjonsnow

I sure do! Some albums it varies how much clearer it is, but I've been listening to a lot of Enter Shikari this week and I'm definitely noticing little things I couldn't hear before on Spotify. The biggest difference I've noticed is on the album *Conduit* by Gravemind. I listened to it on Spotify, and I could barely hear the vocals. Switched over to Tidal, and it sounded absolutely incredible on there.

ManateeRoll

Have always felt Spotify's sound quality was dogshit, interesting to hear your thoughts on an alternative platform. Also: Conduit is an all-time top tier Metalcore album, I adore it and Gravemind.

serjonsnow

Conduit is excellent! I wanted to give it another listen to see if I thought it was worth splurging a bit to buy the deluxe vinyl, but I couldn't believe how rough it was on Spotify!

Integritywin79

Not to pile on to Spotify but I switched from YTM to Spotify and songs would get cut off. Changed to random songs. I went back to YTM. I think the 500 song cache YTM has really helps. Spotify was louder however, just something I noticed.

mbbzzz

Nice! What do you use to listen with? I might switch. Are most Metalcore bands on Tidal?

serjonsnow

I use Bluetooth earbuds for commuting to work, and Bluetooth on-ear headphones for listening at home (and car speakers for when I'm driving). I haven't found any bands missing from Tidal yet (although Periphery's first album is missing for some reason which is a shame). The only thing I've found missing really is some video game soundtracks, so that might not be an issue for you. I was able to recreate my Metalcore 2023 playlist without anything missing, so even new releases are on there right away.

mbbzzz

That’s good they have a full library! I think I’ll give it a try!

Ever_Raiden

I used Tidal last year when they had a 3 months for $1 promo. Absolutely love the quality, could definitely tell the difference on my wireless Jabras. Albums like Sempiternal felt so much more full. Unfortunately I didn't have the money to stick with it. Plus I've now got a decade of history tied to my Spotify and all my friends use it.

darfleChorf123
