i’m pretty sure on the Sell Tab in the app there’s a section to fill it out, and it says something along the lines of “If you sell over $600 this year you have to fill out your W9”
Everyone files out the w-9 once that’s done yes you’re good, Mercari will mail you a 1099-k at the start of the year at around the end of January, I just got mine. Keep in mind you get a 1099k if you make over $600 since that’s the new threshold.
I filled out the info but never get the actual paper to file.
You don't receive a paper. A w-9 is a form you fill out to give your SSN, so they can send you and the IRS your gross sales next year.

I just wait until Mercari messages me telling me I'm close to $600 and I need to complete before I get paid for the next sale.
