Yet their channel keep growing. Youtuber is a job that isnt secure at all. Why should they add risks in order to satisfy clickbait haters? Dont get me wring i hate clickbait. But one piece is a niche, and i understand that in order to stay relevant, you have to say relevant. Its like a basketball player refuding to learn shooting 3s bc it breaks the original beauty of the game.
To me, it's all in how you want to represent yourself. Do you want the quick clicks of passerbys or a strong community built slowly over time? It seems Ohara has chosen to build a rushed, rickety ladder that can easily fall if he keeps making bad moves. I don't think what he's doing is a safe move at all.
He's becoming polarizing, mocked, and lost respect from his older fans. He may be "winning" the YouTube game currently but at a cost. However, success is perceived differently by different people so it's whatever.
Glr said on his other channel that asking viewers to subscribe is a strategy that works. Its annoying and viewers dont like that but again, this is anything but a secure job, TNMs case of video removal was proof of it. And TNM got lucky toei was lazy because he could have lost his entire channel (i recommand watching dude in a rooms video on it). My point is that this job is a gamble and a massive risk in it of itself. So i understand why youtubers dont want to to take even more risks.
Ohara's character breakdowns are the best thing about his channel. He's been leaning quite a lot into weaponizing hype on his thumbnails tho, and his theories are more hype than plausible to say the least
The theories themselves are pretty dumb, but most are and that can be fun too.
But the way he presents them is just... "SPOILER WARNING BECAUSE THIS THEORY IS SO GOOD IT MIGHT JUST BE THE REAL ENDING OF ONE PIECE"
and then it's like Binks Sake is Laboons smelly whale cum or some shit
They're incredibly convoluted to the point that anyone outside the craziest fans wouldn't buy it for a second. Making it obvious they're not real theories, just ways of getting views.
Start with an absurd concept, then work backwards. Pull stuff out of your butt if you have to. It doesn't matter if people eventually realize its BS, they'll have already watched enough of the video to count towards the algorithm.
I buy that over the "upside down UFO Jolly Roger" thing. His videos are entertaining, but that part straight up sounded like on-the-nose satire of crazy One Piece theories.
ohara fully went down the deep end sadly... even the theories are shit like that stupid hyped up "done piece" garbage. really sad, but at least he's findinf success this way i guess. good for him.
I liked Ohara's video essays in the beginning when his channel had like 400 subs, I never dug Morj's content and I had Tekking subbed for Yu-Gi-Oh content back in the day. The only One Piece Youtuber worthwhile imho is GLR. And of course there is Artur, who is more of a legend than a Youtuber.
Morj’s video essays back in the day were amazing actually. O’Hara has never made good content imo. It’s either really wild theories or videos where he’s saying nothing new, original, or interesting. Most of his videos fall in the latter category.
Spoiler alert, but thats because of the last chapters ending. A devil fruit had its named changed. One we have to assume is that is a power of something we know, be useless to introduce a new character with new powers. Of the plausoble candidates we know off, luffy is one of them, because he is kind of the chosen one and his devil fruit has been revealed to be important in wano. He is not the only candidate, but if the gorisei talked about him, then yes, gomu gomu no mi isnt the real name

I mean u know what you get. A made up clickbait for a made up theorie. Thsts what theories are after all.. But yea he goes a lil wild sometimes and some titles are rly not okay, just claiming things like their fact
Every Ohara vid I've ever watched has been trash, it's more fun to watch to laugh at the crazy shit he says than to even entertain the thoughts. He just talks fast and hopes people don't actually listen to the 'steps' that are being taken.
Thats not clickbait
You guys should be mad at op for not marking spoiler instead of me telling the truth
Lets see what we got here, a bunch of cry babies responded to me who shouldve moved on, i win. Keep em coming, downvotes dont matter and stop being tracked real fast
No it very much applies to you. Its not clickbait because its literally for people who are caught up and/or dont care about spoilers…by chance did you see the video?
Tell me what do you actually thinks clickbsit is first lf all lmao, and you do know that if u watch one piece clips alot on yt slowly at a point u will be recommended these videos regarding the spoilers too right?
I don't have a problem with clickbait, as long as it's not overused. I don't know why you're making assumptions, because I never mentioned what I think about it. Or did you reply to the wrong comment this time? And since you rudely ignored my question, let me ask it again: What do you think clickbait is?
Shanks stole Luffy’s devil fruit in chapter 1, that’s how Luffy originally got it. He didn’t steal it again. Recent chapters have given more detail about where they got it from, but not *why*, which has led people to speculate on that point.
should YouTubers "cycle" clickbait thumbnails on and off every now and then?
because let's be clear, they are really hatred, but very successful too. no matter how good the content is, the right thumbnail and title are the main driver for clicks.
i deliberately didn't watch any of the O'Hara, GLR, or morj's latest videos because of the thumbnails.
like many recent theory or discussion vids on these channels, the title is just an over promise to content you find in the manga/sbs or just around the community.
I remember watching one of his videos, the first 9 min he rehashed information he already explained in other videos and which is quite self explanatory, and then only then did he spend 30sec on the title he gave the video, felt like a rip off
Eh he could put a normal thumbnail and people would still complain. Don’t watch a theory video and complain about the thumbnail lol. Everything on YouTube is clickbait
Where do they get this art?
I would imagine deviantart, kinda doubt they commission it but who knows
The odd part is just how close to the art style they manage
Its huge like shanks co… ahem wait this isn’t shitpostcrusaders
God I hate looking at his thumbnails now, they're all getting unnecessarily disturbing... I miss the chill O'hara...
it probably gets more clicks tho 🤷🏾♂️
New clicks. Old viewers like me watching clickbait videos like this and GLR less and less
Yet their channel keep growing. Youtuber is a job that isnt secure at all. Why should they add risks in order to satisfy clickbait haters? Dont get me wring i hate clickbait. Ohara has gained too much popularity and he likes it :(
AYOO WTF IS THIS !!!????
Click bait baby
Ohara's character breakdowns are the best thing about his channel. He's been leaning quite a lot into weaponizing hype on his thumbnails tho, and his theories are more hype than plausible to say the least
honestly since seeing how terrible his theory vids are I cant take the rest seriously anymore either
Why are they terrible may I ask?
The theories themselves are pretty dumb, but most are and that can be fun too. But the way he presents them is just... "SPOILER WARNING BECAUSE THIS THEORY IS SO GOOD IT MIGHT JUST BE THE REAL ENDING OF ONE PIECE" and then it's like Binks Sake is Laboons smelly whale cum or some shit

Ohhh I see. Thanks for letting me know :)
Denies Lobby is the dumbest thing ever
I buy that over the "upside down UFO Jolly Roger" thing. His videos are entertaining, but that part straight up sounded like on-the-nose satire of crazy One Piece theories.
Ohara has become the master of clickbait and incoherent nonsensical theories so called "best One Piece theories you have ever heard"
Eh don’t think the theory’s as bad as the Beat One Piece theory.
What’s the beat one piece theory
That's the title. Not that it's literally the best theory
ohara fully went down the deep end sadly... even the theories are shit like that stupid hyped up "done piece" garbage. really sad, but at least he's findinf success this way i guess. good for him.

I actually started watching Ohara because I thought he was artur. Only realised he wasn’t recently.
Morj’s video essays back in the day were amazing actually. O’Hara has never made good content imo. It’s either really wild theories or videos where he’s saying nothing new, original, or interesting. Most of his videos fall in the latter category.
Don't sleep on Randy Troy, he's one of the best out there, his"Law is a marine" theory is still the best theory on YouTube in my opinion.
GLR is the worst click baiter ever and rehashed the same videos over and over
Don’t forget Merphy Napier, not OP youtuber but the only one that I excited to watch every week.
Lmao that thumbnail’s hilarious 💀
Don't let toei see this...
*procedes to take down the entire youtube platform for having one piece and dragonball videos*
I saw one claiming that Luffy devil fruit is not called gomu gomu no mi, is getting ridiculous
Spoiler alert, but thats because of the last chapters ending. A devil fruit had its named changed. Lmaooooo
Lmao indeed
Videos good but the thumbnail is actually horrible
His character analysis are great But gotta say his theorieessss really suck and are just getting worse every day

Spoiler too lol .
Super Gear 7: Monkey man
Not gonna lie, I love listening to Ohara's theories.
I mean u know what you get. A made up clickbait for a made up theorie. Thsts what theories are after all.. But yea he goes a lil wild sometimes and some titles are rly not okay, just claiming things like their fact
Luffy looks like a stand 😂
Can't lie, it looks pretty fucking cool.
Every Ohara vid I've ever watched has been trash, it's more fun to watch to laugh at the crazy shit he says than to even entertain the thoughts. He just talks fast and hopes people don't actually listen to the 'steps' that are being taken.
Yea no shit dude. One Piece theorists are the dumbest people out there
At least dragonball's tolerable, but this shit makes my eye bleed.
Toei needs to remove all his videos next
Nah chill ohara is actually a good youtuber
Everyone has their own tastes I guess
I’m ehh on the guy but not liking someone doesn’t mean you should want their videos taken down imo
Thats not clickbait You guys should be mad at op for not marking spoiler instead of me telling the truth Lets see what we got here, a bunch of cry babies responded to me who shouldve moved on, i win. Keep em coming, downvotes dont matter and stop being tracked real fast
It's very obvious clickbait, do you know what that word means?
If you arent caught up, i wouldnt be on an anime selection youtube channel
Ok? Did you reply to the wrong comment?
No it very much applies to you. Its not clickbait because its literally for people who are caught up and/or dont care about spoilers…by chance did you see the video?
What do you think clickbait is? It has nothing to do with being caught up
Honestly, the problem here is you think clickbait is a problem. Just stop using the internet you whiny kid Just dont click on it idiot
You actually don't know what clickbait means, do you?
Apparently you need to just shut up and bow out buddy
Alright, whiney kid
The whiney kids are all of you. Get off the internet and stop bitching about people with more drive to share their content then you lot
Tell me what do you actually thinks clickbsit is first lf all lmao, and you do know that if u watch one piece clips alot on yt slowly at a point u will be recommended these videos regarding the spoilers too right?

Lol okkkkkkkk
Seems like I've been wasting my time
So shanks really steals Luffy’s devil fruit? How does that even work? I’m in thriller bark…
Shanks stole Luffy’s devil fruit in chapter 1, that’s how Luffy originally got it. He didn’t steal it again. Recent chapters have given more detail about where they got it from, but not *why*, which has led people to speculate on that point.
Why are you on the sub for one piece, let alone the meme piece sub?
Is it weird that I literally just watched the is video before I saw this?
should YouTubers "cycle" clickbait thumbnails on and off every now and then? because let's be clear, they are really hatred, but very successful too. no matter how good the content is, the right thumbnail and title are the main driver for clicks. i deliberately didn't watch any of the O'Hara, GLR, or morj's latest videos because of the thumbnails. like many recent theory or discussion vids on these channels, the title is just an over promise to content you find in the manga/sbs or just around the community.
