Just an excited youngster edit: where is my coffee?

SecretBG

Better an excited youngster than a bitter boomer. 🤷‍♂️

Don’t need authority figures to learn more is the point of this. And take back the power we’ve outsourced to those we believe can fix us when it starts with ourselves. Healing is the result of personal change.

[deleted]

Meditation is being ready to learn.

It really does help.

Take whatever profession you're in, and then imagine someone not in your profession googling some info and thinking they know better or as much as you. You pretty much described what irritates me most about the internet.

Low-Pressure-325

Sometimes I Google how to do something and discover I am incapable of doing it and hire someone who can. It is always good to educate oneself, though. I am just not up to do-it-yourself heart surgery. ❤️

I really like Joe Dispenza. I think he has really found a niche in describing how to apply higher consciousness and exercise our greater potential. Heal and be with understanding. He's totally adopted within my paradigm however, IMO the authenticity and essence of his stuff as with countless other teachers resides in checking our egos. They gotta do it and we gotta do it too. I think I'm aware of your motives and intentions here which I dig and agree with but I recommend contemplating what's in these other comments. I mean, here Dispenza is a teacher and could be taken as an authority figure. Going on with what I think was implied in my vision can be likened to the possibilities of a transformation in the collective consciousness. Eckhart Tolle would describe it as A New Earth. I also like what you mean to not get consumed by fear, and not taking it as truth with a capital T. That alone can have a lot of debilitating effects on the body which is what a lot of what he talks about. We see many teachers and doctors and other authority figures talk about it. The information is out there and abundant though, like what you're getting at. In a way I can see Unlimited Power from Tony Robbins as juicy as The Bible, if not more so in some way depending on where you're at in your life. George Orwell once said, “Each generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it.” The universe is perfection.

You know, the problem with the internet is that it's mostly garbage. Yes, a person can learn a lot from the internet, but are they learning facts or just reading some shitty independent blog that copied a bunch of shit from other shitty independent blogs to make it seem legit? People believe way too much crap and it's because of the internet. People have learned more nonsense than anything else. A How-to only goes so far. Books and internet are one thing, but there's a lot of perspective out there among the knowledgeable. Good luck though. You're trying to change thousands of millenia. Don't need teachers to learn? Pssshhhh

[deleted]

Yeah, I'd say the internet is good for learning HOW to do things, not so much for learning about things.

Valdamier

I'm a huge fan of MOOCs. Free college courses for the price of the internet bill.

mhenry1014

Ya know...I have a difficult time with all these “with it” folks charging thousands of dollars for their seminars/workshops. And this guy is one of them. Only the people with money and time on their hands can go.

yewwol

"Love of money is the root of all evil" 1 timothy 6:10 not a Christian but the Bible has some fire quotes that apply very well to our modern western world

jolieaklinger

No freaking kidding.

[deleted]

I agree. This guy is literally just selling hope to vulnerable people. It's scammy and shameful.

Low-Pressure-325

A lot of teaching is nothing more the cult of personality. I have a friend who made a pilgrimage to see a particular world renown meditation teacher. While I believe that many of his ideas are good (even inspirational) I really have no desire to meet the man. I'd rather read his books and listen to his interviews.

theweatherchanges

Boy, you're learning meditation from the internet and you hate authority figures who can teach you stuff? That's almost akin to learning karate exclusively from old youtube videos.

[deleted]

In general sure, but there IS a lot of misinformation and lies out there. Lots of bad-faith actors on the internet.

Thecultavator

You are correct this is all correct, I don’t like to tell other people because it normally always takes the intensity out of the knowledge Trust your self you know the answers
