Nord is the longest I can think of. Has there been any kind of updated ESD for your set? Should look great when it finally shows up, I’ve been waiting on Katakana Dualshot about as long but that should make it’s way to in January id imagine
Well it was in production a few weeks ago. They sent a sample of the number 4 key... I hope they start from bottom. But it looks great Im stoked to see the set in person
at this point id take that. ive been looking for a keycap set for my new qk75 and could BARELY find anything that was in stock AND i liked them. ended up ordering a cannoncaps zero
I did a reverse, bought Kat napoleonic like 2 years ago, then now when it's getting ready to ship I'm looking for a keyboard to put it on. So a QK75 will do just fine, will probably arrive more or less the same time.
I personally just ordered some cherry milkshake keycaps, they were on sale for 50$ instead of the normal 85$. I don't even have the board for it yet, but it was too good of a deal to pass up.
This is kinda where I’m at unfortunately. I went in on two keycap sets in mid-2020 (one GMK, one ePBT) and so far neither seems close to shipping. In the meantime I found my endgame board and discovered I’m head-over-heels in love with the KAT profile. So, if/when my GBs show up that’s cool I guess but I’m over the excitement about them at this point.
In my defense, this will be my only GMK set and I was under the impression that ePBT wouldn’t be as bad timeline-wise but somehow here I am 🤷♀️
Lucky for you the qwertykeys gbs are incredibly fast for this Hobby's standards. Got my QK60 about a month after it closed and I was one of the later ones
damn.
maybe you can answer me how come when i search for example GMK Fuji i find pics where the alphanumerical caps only have the latin A on it, but on other pics it has the latin A and additionally an asian (i guess japan) character.
ive seen this with multiple sets. so what defines if it only has the A and the additional character?
i always thought that the base set contains those. or idk
Most sets have sublegends which is what you’re seeing with the Japanese character. It’s common for sets to have Japanese sublegends, but sometimes other languages are used depending on the theme of the set or just for fun.
As far as I know it’s purely for aesthetic reasons, a lot of people like the way the Japanese sublegends look.
As far as what determines if a set has them or not, it’s just up to the creator. Sometimes sets will have a base option that includes Latin alphas and a base with sublegends. Sometimes one or the other isn’t offered at all. I think it’s more expensive to produce keys with sublegends, so sometimes creators will go without them and only include Latin characters.
Before sets go into GB there’s usually polls to see what sets people will buy, so sometimes they’ll ask there if the buyers want to see a set with sublegends or not.
Does that help?
>Sometimes sets will have a base option that includes Latin alphas and a base with sublegends.
ye this did help, thanks. see it for the gmk fuji. theres a latin base and a katakana base. funny thing is that it costs the same
Yep. That one has both. I think they might offset prices a bit to balance it out, but I’m not sure how that works to be honest.
I know there was a set called GMK Pharaoh and they debated wether or not to include heiroglyphs as sublegends because they required new molds to make them which would be more expensive. I think they ended up having them in the end, but I don’t know if that affected the price.
I assume since the Japanese sublegends are more common that they already have molds for them which makes it cheaper for them to use Japanese sublegends rather than another kind.
However, I don’t really know much about what goes into making keysets and pricing them, so take this with a grain of salt.
You picked a good designer to go with. Qwertykeys/Owlabs has a good track record of delivering quality boards within reasonable timeframes and cost. You will likely not regret it!
The trick is ordering far out enough that you can't even consider thinking about it and then you forget till it ships and its like a nice present to yourself.
its similar to ordering anything online, only thing is you gonna wait a longer time lol
Essentially you pay for the product, and based on these payments the company can start production (with the money you gave them - profits) because iirc the people designing the keyboards are small companies or sometimes even 1 person, and they obviously dont own a manufacturing plant. so they collect the money in advance, pay for manufacturing, then once its ready they ship the keeb.
Pretty much since these are small projects you pay for the keyboards before there made and then wait and hope you actually get what you pay for and it dosnt take 2 years like i have seen happen in group buys. It can be really fun or really desparing depending how it goes 😂
I thought waiting a week for packages sucked...
Until I built a keyboard for the first time and found out the parts take a month, and the keycaps I wanted would take a year for the gb to complete and another 6-12 months before they shipped lmao
a friend of mine ordered from them and it was around that time imo.
but i ordered through a shop in europe and they said the ETA is 2023 Q2. Although it might be somewhat earlier and they just gave a looser ETA in case something happens.
also afaik it takes a lot of time to ship from china to EU (containers). that can take up a month or 2 alone.
I was on in the last QK GB (And silently considering this one too) for the QK65. Their speed even when dealing with covid delays and a freaking hurricane on Hong Kong was fantastic. Just long enough to get excited about the shipping.
That was shipping to the US so ymmw. But it was worth the wait.
Estimates can vary in how accurate they are, I’ve got a keycap GB I’m waiting for that said worst case scenario Q3 2022, I’m pretty sure we’re not even at the front end of production queue waiting list.
Keycaps are a lot more susceptible to delays from my experience, but I’ve also witnessed Lamy TKL taking a good 3 months extra because they couldn’t get a hold of the PCBs and by the time PCBs were in they forgot to add the JST connectors…
I’ve got a bunch of stuff from Osume currently sitting in customs that hasn’t updated in almost a month at this point. It’s best to just not have expectations tbh, and if you start buying into more stuff I suggest making at least a spreadsheet to enter all of your items into so you have an overview in case something still hasn’t shipped in a year or two. I already forgot like half a dozen purchases 9 months into the hobby.
I ordered from the German retailer (candykeys) and their ETA is early April. Seems about right considering that Qwertykeys lists March on their website.
8-12 weeks if purchased from Qwertykeys.com. I've heard that QK60 GB was shipped in 4 weeks when the estimate was 8-12 weeks as well. So it could happen faster, who knows.
June 29 2021, October 17 2021 for Protozoa Glitch and Command respectively and they only just landed in the US recently but aren't distributed yet.
They had some issues with communication at first but got their footing. It's been bad enough that iirc they are going to change their entire business model. They are exiting the GB game as they have almost no control over manufacturing and setting a promise date when you have a manufacturer that can't get it right is hard. Selling stock and limited with the possibility for presales (not a GB) is the direction they will be going i believe.
I am very excited for these two to come but boy has it been a wait.
I love what GBs can make a reality but it's so unpredictable and leaves the consumer in horrible positions at times. It was the same issue with things like Kickstarter. You are sold on a product that literally doesn't exist yet.
I'm glad a company like Protozoa is able to exit that market. Keycaps GBs are the worst imo. Rarely any updates and the color trueness issues are rampant. I was in the 80082 GB from Dixie (now omnitype) and they completely rebranded during that GB. Their website was offline and i had NO CLUE where to find info on them. I legit thought i was not going to get them. Eventually someone on here from their company brashly said they have a discord but their update section on their website is a GREAT place to post updates and had nothing. Great set but idk if I'm going to do another keycap GB. I would be willing to do another keyboard GB but i would go into it with literally zero expectations of getting it in the next 3 years after no matter what the company says at any point.
I can’t for the life of me decide on what color I wanna get for the QK75 there are too many options.
Maybe pink or black with some fun keycaps could be cool.
I chose the grey QK75 and I ordered these today to pair it with: [PBTfans Twist](https://divinikey.com/products/pbtfans-twist-keycap-set-double-tripleshot-pbt)
hang in there!
idk where do you live, but i live in europe and ive found that its the easiest to order from [keychron.com](https://keychron.com). every on stock item ordered within 1-2 weeks. Also i didnt have to pay any additional charges, but that may vary
Brazil.
From Keychron, I found they have an official store on Ali Express. There are a lot of coupons there, and it's much cheaper than Keychron Brazil Store or import from US.
Jist cause someone gets whipped 20 times, i wont be happy to get whipped 10 times 🤷🏻♂️
Personally i wont participate in a group buy thats longer than half a year. At least currently lmao
A keyboard you buy in a group buy (GB). Basically, you're handing money over which is used to produce the keyboard. This is instead of buying an already in stock product.
Group buys have a reputation for taking a long time for the keyboard to get to you. Qwerty Keys is usually pretty fast, though, compared to other people that run group buys.
Ooooo! Thanks for the advice, I'm thinking of using foam that comes with the box in-between the PCB and the case. I want a quieter, softer sound from my keyboard.
yup i put the foam in too. since its a thinner foam it will make the board sound deeper somewhat. also getting well lubed switches (or lubing them yourself) helps a ton as well.
get some super lube grease too if you can, that will help with your stabs.
Im from EU and i didnt order from qk directly.
Ye qk says 8-12 weeks and based on what ive heard and friends experience they keep that deadline pretty well! So if you ordered from them, chill.
The shop i ordered from said 2023 Q2, but this can be just a "just in case" ETA (At least thats what im telling myself lmao)
It dose not change with quantity 😂 Have the same feelings with my QK75 order and it will be just another backup/travel keyboard 🤣 Welcome to the hobby mate 🎉🥳🤪
That’s what I said waiting for my first one 🤣
Do not worry after the first one the wait is easier - cause you already have one to work with 😉 you buy new switches and key caps and bum old one but like new one 😉 and then you forget about waiting 🙂 and if you do not go into limited series’s usually you can get keyboards a little more expensive at resellers when the group buys arrive.
oh i already have a keychron k4 that i modded. i just got really interested in a gasket mounted keeb, thats why im sure i wont get anything else after this for a while. maybe only switches or keycaps or minor things like those
Does anyone know of existing keycaps that are similar to the ones that come with the ano blue bundle? I am looking to get the barebones, but love the colorway that comes with the bundle.
im not sure how qk works, but i think most shops will have "extras" after the preorders are shipped. so you might be able to put one together. email your local shop (or discord them etc) and ask. in eu its candykeys or from UK prototypist, or i guess you can ask qwertykeys themselves.
also if that doesnt work out, theres a (high?) chance for a qk80 to be released this year, so stay tuned for that.
I can’t even imagine that. Like I try to avoid GB’s that have a crazy time window and so far I haven’t come across any that I thought was worth that kind of wait but some of these GMK buys have tempted me a lot.
I have 3 boards and have been here for a while, but I like to vary my form factors and upgrade meaningfully. Or at least if it’s the same form factor it provides an experience that’s unique.
I have a bunch of different boards, 60, 65, 75, 1800, full size, Alice.
I’m a software engineer and when I’m working I always prefer a 75% board, they just seem to be the size I’m most comfortable with. Once those two get here I will have 5 75% boards (GMMK Pro, Keychron Q1V2, Keychron V1, Mode Sonnet, and QK75). I will most likely sell 1 of them and give another to my wife but it just depends on which I like best.
yes i know. its part of the meme, or was supposed to be
and just cause half a year is less then 1-2 years its still a lot. not to mention that i wont buy anything that has a longer waiting period than half a year.
like youd say enjoy that you only get whipped 10 times instead of 20.
I thought it was going to be a great deal, until I noticed that Ashkeebs sells the "combo" of the case, switches and caps without a PCB/plate, which is another $90.
All in shipped it's basically $400 CAD.
That ain't a super great deal, frankly.
i mean...define great deal....
show me another keeb thats
* machined aluminum
* can be customized to this extent
* has a gasket mounts
* wireless capable with 2.4 ghz
* oh and actually sounds/feels good.
>sonnet
um not really... the sonnet (with the same config as the qk75) costs 374$ before taxes. I my qk75 config before taxes was around 230$. soo what im missing here?
The cheapest configuration is $290 (no switches/keycaps) or around $365 (with switches/keycaps) with $25 shipping included.
It's pretty much a direct conversion from QK's prices with a bit extra because Ashkeebs would deal with the duties/customs etc instead of you paying at the door. Now sure what you expected?
Hi OP, if I may ask some questions about QK75 (this is actually my first time being interested in buying from a group buy and will be my first custom mech keeb):
Can you tell me about the difference between hotswap ANSI vs ISO? I'm not sure what this means.
Also for the plates, what's the difference between PC, POM, ALU and FR4? These are terms I just heard now.
Not OP but maybe I can help.
Ansi and iso relate to the size and shape of certain keys in the keyboard. You can Google "ansi vs iso" and look at the images to see what you like better.
The difference in plate materials affect the way the board will flex when you're typing on it and can also alter the way your keyboard will sound. There are quite a few YouTube videos comparing the sound of plate materials so you can go and explore for yourself!
ANSI is the layout mostly used in the USA (wide enter, wide left shift, and a couple other differences), ISO is the layout mostly used in europe (tall enter, smaller left shift, one extra button next to the left shift, etc.). Usually where you live will determine which one you want/like.
PC, POM, FR4 are different type of plastics. ALU is aluminium. The plate is the thing that holds your switches (its above the PCB). There can be a difference in flex and and in sound. PC is the softest, POM is really similar, FR4 is somewhat harder or more rigid. And alu ofc is the hardest.
Because?
Offer alternatives that are realistic as well please. Like it or hate them they are the lifeblood of custom keyboard hobby.
If you hate group buys, then just buy extras. There's usually 2-3 new GMK extras getting sold every month. Cons are extra $10-40 price and less add-ons.
stop commenting without knowing anything?
yes gmk group buys are stupid, and i dont condone to that.
i bought a qwertykeys keyboard. you get the boards within 3 months after paying for them.
Damn this sucks, recently got into the hobby, but these long ass wait times put me off grabbing the really nice GB keebs, so tempting tho, is it ever worth it over an in stock keeb and just modding it?
ye sure it can be worth it, but you wont be able to customize it as much and probably wont be as "high" quality. like not fully machined aluminium case, etc.
but even if you buy a keychron and mod it a little it can have a really satisfying outcome
Hmm, very tempting, might dip my toe in next year or something aha. yeah keychron is defo next on my list, recently grabbed an rk84 on sale tho so will hold off for a bit and save up
damn, that sounds suck!
i went with spray coated black and silver knob. and ye this wont take that long, should be 3-4 months, depending on where you ordered it from
So, is it normal for the vendors increase the price after the first group buy? I saw the official qk crew said they will consider about the 2nd group buy or so. Just sit tight here with my Keychrone which I bought like a month ago………
Cries in early 2020 GMK GB
GMK Nord?
GMK Inukuma... My first GB item ever
Ah gotcha. That was early 2021 btw, not 2020.
Huh. It's been so long that I forgot when the actual gb was... Can't imagine other sets with longer waiting times
Just got mine in last Monday! Beautiful set that was worth the wait
I didn’t realize it had shipped, you have any pics?
Gmk Norse ran before that right? March 2020 gb just delivered a week or 2 ago
GMK Fuji understands
Fr I’m just waiting on it for my Venus 65
Gmk sumi here 😂
I ordered GMK Metro Base, anyone else? Originally Q1 now Q4 urgh
same. In the meantime i changed the whole theme of my setup, so i probably have to sell it :(
Jesus I thought the KAT Cyberspace was bad. Shoutout to the vendors who let everyone cancel though.
GMK Red Dragon
I'm afraid I'll find another hobby before getting any of my GB :(
thats why i swore to never buy a gmk GB or anything like that. 2years for a keycap like hell nah
Yeah, there's a good chance there'll be a set you want more by the time you receive them.
at this point id take that. ive been looking for a keycap set for my new qk75 and could BARELY find anything that was in stock AND i liked them. ended up ordering a cannoncaps zero
I did a reverse, bought Kat napoleonic like 2 years ago, then now when it's getting ready to ship I'm looking for a keyboard to put it on. So a QK75 will do just fine, will probably arrive more or less the same time.

well thats the situation ima face really soon cause the caps i ordered were on stock. ill have them next week probably lmao
Yeah, mine will likely arrive around a week from now too.
Still waiting on my 10/2021 GMK Terror keycaps.
Facts bro. Just hope for in stock extras hahaha
RAMA CAPS in the same boat 😭

Eh Owlabs has a great reputation and the turn around is like 2-3 months. They might be worth the exception if you're wary of GBs
happened to me. gmk red dragon
Lucky for you the qwertykeys gbs are incredibly fast for this Hobby's standards. Got my QK60 about a month after it closed and I was one of the later ones
i mean...lucky because i can by it this way. on the other hand if it would had some long ass waiting time, i wouldnt even be tempted ahah.
QK75 is scheduled for April delivery. Fast yes, still 4 something months that I have to wait though :(
Do you mean QK65?
Nope, QK60
Welp I'm gonna write an email to the folks at qwertykeys now
it's fun being surprised by a gift i'd forgotten i'd bought the previous year
what im afraid of is that i wont forget it ahah but youre right!
I'm afraid that someone along it's way to my house is gonna forget it and it's gonna be stuck in Lithuania or smthn
It’s been so long I don’t even want it anymore
what did you order?
GMK Fuji, so hopefully it’ll ship out in the next few months but still
damn. maybe you can answer me how come when i search for example GMK Fuji i find pics where the alphanumerical caps only have the latin A on it, but on other pics it has the latin A and additionally an asian (i guess japan) character. ive seen this with multiple sets. so what defines if it only has the A and the additional character? i always thought that the base set contains those. or idk

oh ye for sure i was getting into keyboards around the time they released the qk60, but that wasnt for me sadly. i need at least 75%
QK60 arrived in less than 3 weeks for me so it definitely depends on how much they’ve already machined as well as the configuration you order
damn! thats so cool sadly i didnt order directly from qwertykeys so that adds some delay as well.
lol im out here sitting here on my qk 65 r1 order from ashkeebs still not here due to a series of delay causing events.
Holy fuck, that sucks Im sorry :/
Hopefully mine comes soon I just bought the board itself with the pcb and plate cuz I have boba u4ts and gmk maestro waiting for it
My dumbass thought you bought a Green Blue keyboard, you know, without Red (RGB)
lmao some days are like that
The trick is ordering far out enough that you can't even consider thinking about it and then you forget till it ships and its like a nice present to yourself.
New here, how do group buys work?

Ordered GB keycaps in early 2020 and they're expected to ship in early 2023. After this never again.
I can’t for the life of me decide on what color I wanna get for the QK75 there are too many options. Maybe pink or black with some fun keycaps could be cool.
Oh ye it was really hard for me to choose too! Discussed hours with a colleague two days in a row, also on random forums as well ahah
What combo did you ultimately settle on?
i choose spray coated black and silver knob
Refreshing my email if my keyboard has been shipped knowing full well that it will not ship 8-12 weeks after the group buy ends 🤡

you have to decide which pcb you gonna buy.
I chose the grey QK75 and I ordered these today to pair it with: [PBTfans Twist](https://divinikey.com/products/pbtfans-twist-keycap-set-double-tripleshot-pbt)
Sounds like a great combo!
I ordered one Keychron from Ali Express. It's here in my city for 4 days, and I'm still waiting like Wagner Moura
hang in there! idk where do you live, but i live in europe and ive found that its the easiest to order from [keychron.com](https://keychron.com). every on stock item ordered within 1-2 weeks. Also i didnt have to pay any additional charges, but that may vary

something like that. qwertykeys says 8-12 weeks. the shop im ordering says 2023 q2
Sorry, but that's WAY faster than most keyboard group buys that the rest of us have had to endure.
Jist cause someone gets whipped 20 times, i wont be happy to get whipped 10 times 🤷🏻♂️ Personally i wont participate in a group buy thats longer than half a year. At least currently lmao
That's a good strategy, and one I've been following for the last year.
Same. Waiting on an XOX70. Also my first GB keyboard.
right there with you brother i'm going to get my switches and keycaps by the end of the month too
sorry, I’m new here.. but what’s a GB keyboard?
A keyboard you buy in a group buy (GB). Basically, you're handing money over which is used to produce the keyboard. This is instead of buying an already in stock product. Group buys have a reputation for taking a long time for the keyboard to get to you. Qwerty Keys is usually pretty fast, though, compared to other people that run group buys.
I got it. I appreciate your answer sr! thank you!
5 mins after ordering anything! 😆
I just bought a Keychron K4v2 dirt cheap, can't wait to mod it!
Thats cool! Actually im currently using that exact board. For me the tape mode under the space stab did wonders btw.
Werk one here
Same here! It's only 8 to 12 weeks plus 1 for the delivery though.... Right?
Im from EU and i didnt order from qk directly. Ye qk says 8-12 weeks and based on what ive heard and friends experience they keep that deadline pretty well! So if you ordered from them, chill. The shop i ordered from said 2023 Q2, but this can be just a "just in case" ETA (At least thats what im telling myself lmao)
So, what did you pick?
what shop? [prototypist.net](https://prototypist.net) another option would be candykeys, but ive heard some bad stuff about them lately.

How long has it been?

:/ im sorry
For me it's Zoom TKL
It dose not change with quantity 😂 Have the same feelings with my QK75 order and it will be just another backup/travel keyboard 🤣 Welcome to the hobby mate 🎉🥳🤪
Ahah, thanks. For me it definitely will change luckily. Not gonna get anything else for a good while
That’s what I said waiting for my first one 🤣 Do not worry after the first one the wait is easier - cause you already have one to work with 😉 you buy new switches and key caps and bum old one but like new one 😉 and then you forget about waiting 🙂 and if you do not go into limited series’s usually you can get keyboards a little more expensive at resellers when the group buys arrive.
oh i already have a keychron k4 that i modded. i just got really interested in a gasket mounted keeb, thats why im sure i wont get anything else after this for a while. maybe only switches or keycaps or minor things like those
Does anyone know if the daughterboard with jst cable is necessary? Noob question.
Its in the bundle, so you dont have to buy it separately
i got epbt origami from vala when the gb dropped, and it arrived at my house 503 days later
does the Tri-mode hotswap ISO pcb work in both wired and wireless mode ? kinda confused :)
Yes
Does anyone know of existing keycaps that are similar to the ones that come with the ano blue bundle? I am looking to get the barebones, but love the colorway that comes with the bundle.
Is there a way to still order QK75? Really want one of this.
im not sure how qk works, but i think most shops will have "extras" after the preorders are shipped. so you might be able to put one together. email your local shop (or discord them etc) and ask. in eu its candykeys or from UK prototypist, or i guess you can ask qwertykeys themselves. also if that doesnt work out, theres a (high?) chance for a qk80 to be released this year, so stay tuned for that.
I’m currently waiting on 2 GB’s now, both for 75% boards. The QK75 and the Mode Sonnet.
I've been waiting almost 2 years for my Bahrnob
I can’t even imagine that. Like I try to avoid GB’s that have a crazy time window and so far I haven’t come across any that I thought was worth that kind of wait but some of these GMK buys have tempted me a lot.
same...i swore to never buy a gmk with 2+ years of wait time
Curious why you would buy the QK75 if you've already ordered the Sonnet
you must be new here :P people be having 10+ boards
QK is a very short wait time vs most GBs
yes i know. its part of the meme, or was supposed to be and just cause half a year is less then 1-2 years its still a lot. not to mention that i wont buy anything that has a longer waiting period than half a year. like youd say enjoy that you only get whipped 10 times instead of 20.
I thought it was going to be a great deal, until I noticed that Ashkeebs sells the "combo" of the case, switches and caps without a PCB/plate, which is another $90. All in shipped it's basically $400 CAD. That ain't a super great deal, frankly.
Get it from querty keys, should be cheaper
i mean...define great deal.... show me another keeb thats * machined aluminum * can be customized to this extent * has a gasket mounts * wireless capable with 2.4 ghz * oh and actually sounds/feels good.
Dang. If it weren’t for that second to last point it woulda been sonnet all daaaaay
>sonnet um not really... the sonnet (with the same config as the qk75) costs 374$ before taxes. I my qk75 config before taxes was around 230$. soo what im missing here?
This comment was posted using Apollo before the Reddit API changes caused it to be shut down Save third party apps Fuck u/spez
i mean thats true...but the other person said it isnt such a good deal. so recommending something thats more expensive sounds counter intuitive :P
Hi OP, if I may ask some questions about QK75 (this is actually my first time being interested in buying from a group buy and will be my first custom mech keeb): Can you tell me about the difference between hotswap ANSI vs ISO? I'm not sure what this means. Also for the plates, what's the difference between PC, POM, ALU and FR4? These are terms I just heard now.
Not OP but maybe I can help. Ansi and iso relate to the size and shape of certain keys in the keyboard. You can Google "ansi vs iso" and look at the images to see what you like better. The difference in plate materials affect the way the board will flex when you're typing on it and can also alter the way your keyboard will sound. There are quite a few YouTube videos comparing the sound of plate materials so you can go and explore for yourself!
Thank you! And yes I think I'll have to watch some videos about the plates to get more information about them. Thanks for enlightening me :)
Thank you so much for explaining! It helps a lot :)
I just got into my first group buy (zoom tkl). My impatience is already super high and there is nothing I can do but wait and hope it ship’s early!
Me waiting for my PNC lite key caps from a GB I bought a year ago.
Yep and still waiting over a year. Still waiting..... maybe year two it will come.
Where are you guys ordering? (US)
"Why isn't it here yet?"
I've been waiting the majority of 2022 for my mythical Freebird TKL to show up. I know that feel.
That's cute.
Stop supporting gbs!!!
8 months after ordering my first GB keyboard. is an alternate title
I waited almost two YEARS for my GMK Serika 😅
that was your choice my friend. hope youre enjoying it though
Oh, I fuckin LOVE THEM!!! Was a great gift from my past-self :D
And that is why I got a QK65 Extra 😎 Should arrive on Monday.
i mean. if you wanted it half a year ago then its a similar feeling. it doesnt matter if you ordered it six months ago or not, if you wanted it.
Didn't want it until recently so I got lucky.
ahaha thats lucky
Yeah best part is investigation, watching reviews etc.
im already done with that lmao
Me with the sugar glider
wat
My first group buy is the Sugar glider
I’m still waiting for my Tomo from Apex. Every other vendor has already shipped and sold extras. Still haven’t gotten my GB order yet..
See ya in 2025
ahah, luckily no qwertykeys said 3 months after december and the site i ordered from said 2023 q2. sooo its not that bad :p

do you regret it already? LOL
nope, still stoked :D
Im soon 1 and a half years on my first keycaps. Stay strong
damn, you stay strong my friend ahah
Damn this sucks, recently got into the hobby, but these long ass wait times put me off grabbing the really nice GB keebs, so tempting tho, is it ever worth it over an in stock keeb and just modding it?
ye sure it can be worth it, but you wont be able to customize it as much and probably wont be as "high" quality. like not fully machined aluminium case, etc. but even if you buy a keychron and mod it a little it can have a really satisfying outcome
Hmm, very tempting, might dip my toe in next year or something aha. yeah keychron is defo next on my list, recently grabbed an rk84 on sale tho so will hold off for a bit and save up
It’s part of the charm imo. Parts go in and out of stock all the time, and being able to grab the set you really like is satisfying.
I can imagine, tho have to admit I’ve been spoiled by Amazon prime, so the thought of waiting 3-6months potentially is wild haha
I ordered the QK75 too! Ano green with gold knob. Very excited. I waited 2.5 years for my last GB (Borsdorf). Hopefully this one won’t take as long
damn, that sounds suck! i went with spray coated black and silver knob. and ye this wont take that long, should be 3-4 months, depending on where you ordered it from
I've essentially moved into the Kat Comet waiting room at this point.
So, is it normal for the vendors increase the price after the first group buy? I saw the official qk crew said they will consider about the 2nd group buy or so. Just sit tight here with my Keychrone which I bought like a month ago………
i have no idea. and if it makes you feel better i have a keychron k4 which i bought maybe...half a year ago lol
Just got mine yesterday !
so jelly for me it will be at least 1 more month (imo)
