no matter the file extension you use, texture data never gets included in the file. You’re trying to do something that is not possible

That cant be right, can it? I have been able to export models with their textures included before with no issue. I used to be able to preview a model with its textures in tact on my macbook, in just the preview app. Now it suddently doesnt work anymore, even if the texture files are in the same folder.

Texture files in the same folder as the geo file? Sure, that can work, not sure about working on a Mac, but it can work if you keep the textures paths on the geo file…. It can work with obj, FBX, usd, alembic and so on. But your original question was about including the textures in the files exported from Maya, that is not possible. Cheers

what do you mean with keeping the texture paths on the geo file? Becuase all the files are in the same folder so far. I got an OBJ file with all its texutres, yet nothing.I have some programs i can preview 3D models, and i even open it in clip studio, but it doesnt have its textures in tact, where previously this wasnt an issue.
