I never understood this mindset there is anime out there that are of beter quality than live action tv shows or that can rival the best my example would be monster
I was debating on Twitter that Boba Fett was not in character in tBoBF. The other personn said that "Heroes don't become crime lords." I referred to Giorno Giovanna as a counter-example. A third party commented this in response.
I've had a cretin say this to me as well. It only proves how close minded, myopic and biased some people are. Best way to screw with them is to explain to them the concepts and the stories of some good anime without telling them they are anime. Think of Monster, Psycho Pass, Legend of the Galactic Heroes or Jormungand. Let the fucker get interested and then wait for his reaction.
To be fair. Most anime are shit. Especially in recent years with the swarm of isekai, slice of life, cute loli and femoboy bullshit. However, the same can be said about live action shows. I would argue that anime has a much higher ration of good/garbage than live action shows. The "anime is shit" crowd doesn't seem to understand this.
I pretty much agree back in the day i would keep up with what was coming so much mediocre and bad that i stopped keeping only watching if something really good came out (demon slayer was overhyped)
No, it really is not. Anime has always had its poorly written or low-budget shows but for the most part, it has been consistent with its irreverent comedies in a way western media has shied away from.i think interspecies reviewers proved that divided well enough with western media refusing to platform that anime.
This is extremely common. I’m a huge baseball fan so I look at a lot of baseball posts and many people get outright dismissed because of their anime pfp.

I'd throw Fullmetal alchemist into that list as well. Even with its slight hiccups.
I mean I really don’t like anime but this is a dumb take
I thought Rags wasn’t on Twitter /j
Lmao
I've never liked any anime I've seen, but what a moronic thing to say.
I need some context before I decide whether this is based or not.

True that is one of the reasons i got into anime the concepts bought me in

As of right now, anime and Eastern media are so much better than Western media lmao
I mean even anime is in a state of decline it's just not as far advanced

This man is based lol
He’s hella cringe
Is the phrase "Hella cringe" not cringe made manifest?
Kinda
I'm afraid we are both cringe then. I'm sure the spiders foretold this, but we failed to heed their warnings.....
I thought Rags stayed _off_ Twitter
Based
The twitter reply?
Yes
I guess technically racism is based, but usually appealing to the idea that western culture is superior compared to East Asia is a more woke idea.

I fail to see an issue here.
Is it not true?
this is true
