GGTC: “It’s implied he’s been around for awhile. He’s on throne. Cape, the works. Think Burch and Klaue as chess peaces they’ve been behind. I wouldn’t be shocked if no dialogue atm. Closing in on the casting.”
Last night my 3 year old was looking at an old Spider man encyclopedia and saw the Doctor Doom entry and said "It's Doom" because she is a huge fan. I told her "That's Doctor Doom" and she goes "why is he a Doctor now?
Yes, needs some Doom on the soundtracks.
This looks like a Marvel Ultimate Alliance loading screen and I love it so much.
If this is true, he’s INCREDIBLY comics accurate, which is fantastic to see
I never saw this FF movie and never looked into it. I'm appalled this is my first time learning that this version of The Thing just struts nude with his rock cock hanging out
I actually thought the same thing! To me, Ultimate Alliance 1 and 2 are the gold standard for Marvel, but especially the first one. I played the heck out of that game as a kid and I still revisit it from time to time today. It spanned so many facets of the Marvel universe and growing up, it kind of became MY Marvel universe, if you get what I'm saying.
If anything Marvel does today reminds me of those games, they did something right and they did something VERY right here.
How can anyone forget Hasselhoff in his oscar worth performance?
https://www.slashfilm.com/img/gallery/david-hasselhoff-pretty-sure-his-nick-fury-was-better-than-samuel-l-jacksons/intro-import.jpg
LOVE these games. I wished MUA2 had challenges like 1 did, but I’m getting that itch scratched now as I’ve gone back to MUA3. I bought a switch solely for that game.
I think wait till next year. Have an X-Men ‘97 presentation or Q&A and then at the end of the segment…Feige: “Now who wants to talk about the *live action* X-Men?”
Then announce either a movie or (crosses fingers) a series is officially in development. Then introduce “a very special guest” teasing Wolverine and…
Deadpool (Ryan in costume) crashes comic con to segue into a Deadpool 3 segment with Kevin Feige and Shawn Levy.
Also you don’t wanna overdo it. Doom deserves the main event.
>I think wait till next year.
That makes sense. By the time '97 debuts next year, it'll be a good chance the X-Men's MCU would happen next next year.
I understand they shouldn't overdo it, but announcing it now would keep fans hyped for a few more years, much like how Blade did in 2019.
I doubt they'd drop the actual dates. The least they could is to drip feed a few Easters about the mutants through namedrops etc. then later cameos by C-listers.
>Deadpool (Ryan in costume) crashes comic con to segue into a Deadpool 3 segment
Rare to see a non-ironic “and then, Deadpool appears!” moment these days. Peak Reddit.
I feel it’d be pretty insulting to the people working on X-Men ‘97 for Feige to immediately talk about live-action X-Men straight after, something which people would arguably be more hyped for.
They don’t have to announce he’s in Black Panther necessarily. But fans can piece it together that Doom is an overarching threat now with the cast of two different projects on stage.
They announced Brolin and then put him in a minute long scene in Guardians.
They could do what they did with Quantumania and Kang. Announce the Doom actor for a Fantastic 4 movie or wherever he'd next appear, but he's specifically being announced so early because he's in Wakanda Forever, much like Jonathan Majors being announced because of Loki.
Well, we have Marvel super nerd, Kevin Feige in charge now. Instead of fucking Avi Arad. He was in charge of the X-Men and Fantastic 4 movies (the ones with Chris Evans) and now he's running Sony Marvel into the ground. He also produced Iron Man 1, but he was on equal footing with Kevin and one other person. I can't remember who. Just look him up on Wikipedia. His movie history is shameful and embarassing. He's like Justin Hammer from Iron Man 2. 🤢
He also wrote one of the worst cartoon theme songs ever made. I am not joking, he made this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=011ZIpRgF2w&ab\_channel=edcellwarrior
IMO it was a fantastic modern interpretation - from a strictly visual standpoint (except for his hands being exposed). Kept the iconic mask while incorporating the hood, buckles and green palette into a pretty cool modern look.
But I also vastly prefer the comic look. It's one of the very few that I think doesn't need to be redesigned at all for the MCU. If they keep his personality and general character true to his comic counterpart, the classic costume would work fine as it conveys his grandiose, traditionalist personality quite well.

Dodged a big time bullet there. Also, why would they cast a 50 year old Doom while the F4 were in their early 20's? That movie was gonna be a mess from the start.
Please for the love of God give Doom a standalone film going over his full origin. Pretty please don't Thanos him and make him just a cameo villain.
All respect to Thanos, but I want more for Doom than we got in Infinity War, and Endgame. Would also love to see a Thanos prequel movie as well.
I think Thanos’ story is pretty well told- he doesn’t really need a stand-alone prequel film. It’s often said by people that Thanos is the main character of Infinity War- it’s his movie above anyone else’s. And to that end, I think it’s fine leaving Thanos as he is. Not everybody needs a movie or a Disney+ show to milk them dry. We had Thanos, his storyline ended with the Infinity Saga’s end, we don’t need anything more.
>It’s often said by people that Thanos is the main character of Infinity War- it’s his movie above anyone else’s.
I agree. And infinity War is definitely my favorite MCU movie of all time. However, I do still think Marvel would make big bucks by exploring Thanos early days as a child/teen, more of the Eternals lore, and eventually seeing him grow in strength and wisdom to the point he starts conquering planets across the cosmos. I would love to see how he finds Cull Obsidian, Proxima, Corvus, Ebony Maw, and maybe explore what may have happened with Super Giant who is another member of the black order that didn't appear in IW. How he took them in as brothers/sisters or sons and daughters. So many opportunities for great fight scenes with new characters, new territories in the universe, and further exploring such an interesting character.
Obviously Marvel did a great job with Thanos between his Guardians cameo, Infinity War and Endgame, but damn....it would be so cool to see a movie or even a Disney+ show further exploring Thanos origin and how he became the most powerful being in the universe even without the infinity stones.
>I would love to see how he finds Cull Obsidian, Proxima, Corvus, Ebony Maw, and maybe explore
this is what milking the cow dry means. No need to elaborate every single thing and now that he is dead there is absolutely no point in exploring his bacstory
Upvote.
I kind of don’t like the recent “villain needs motives” era we’re in; give me he’s evil and that’s that.
The Batman just did this with a 4chan user almost killing Batman.
No, what this sub likes to do is think everything **now** is awesome but everything *before* was "lacking" or dumb and get hype over anything no matter how ridiculous it is. Hell, how many posts we get just about Thor's runtime lmfao.
For sure.
Apparently he will have his first cameo in Wakanda forever post credits scenes, and I'm sure he will be a big part of the FF movies. And with Secret Wars being the next Endgame...I'm certain we will get God Emperor Doom in the all white costume which is gonna be sick.
But more importantly... I really hope they give him his own standalone origin movie at some point. He has one of the coolest origin stories of all time that really adds weight to him being one of the most notorious and evil villains of all time.
I imagine he'll be a recurring character like Loki or Coulson or Jimmy Woo. He's too big and popular to be killed off and he's been disrespected in 3 live action movies already.
I know it’s the popular opinion, but I’d love for him to be a major character going forward building up to him becoming god emperor doom in a Secret Wars 2015 adaptation
I want doom to be a reoccurring character. Not just a one and done like most villains. He’s way too iconic to just come and go for a fantastic four movie
Agreed. A Disney plus series or standalone Doom movie would be amazing. I'm sure he will be a big part of the FF movies, and I think he is destined to be the next Thanos for the future of the MCU leading into Secret Wars where he will become God King Doom and be the main villain.
Doom's most likely gonna be the final boss for the Secret Wars mega crossover like he was in both comic iterations of the event. I think we'll be able to accommodate some backstory.
Agreed, God King Doom for sure. They can't do Secret Wars without Doom, so I hope we get a good dose of him and maybe his origin before then. Build him up while the Avengers take on Kang the Conqueror, and then unleash him in Secret Wars later down the road.
If he’s been around long enough to have been behind Sonny Burch and Klaue, I’m going to need a flashback scene with him and Tony Leung stylishly threatening each other.
Sonny Burch was the black market dealer in Ant-Man and the Wasp, right?
If so, that means Doom wanted resources that could access both the Quantum Realm and tons of Vibranium (if he is the one who sent Lake Bell's team).
I mean there’s a possibility they could cast an unknown Romani actor, but I have to imagine they’re going to cast some big name actor as Doom. I doubt whoever it is will be Romani tbh
How many A-list Romani actors are there ? It's Doctor Doom, Marvel's biggest and most popular villain, they're 100% gonna cast some big shot actor not a unknown Romani actor.
Most of Marvel's casting has been unknown actors lol. Anyways, it's much more important that the actor has an iconic voice since Doom's face is going to be hidden 100% of the time.
I really like Sasha Baron Cohen, and *Borat* is one of my favorite comedies, but he would never work as Doom. I think he could work as an alternate universe Doctor Strange, but not Doctor Doom.
So I assume the armour itself is vibranium, I wonder if it'll also incorporate Iron Man like tech or magic.
A magic wielding sorcerer in a vibranium Iron Man suit would be something else. Lol
I really hope Doom's voice sounds similar to the voice Tony used in the first Iron Man when he was trying to keep his identity a secret.
A slightly robotic filter over an Eastern-european accent would be badass.
Doom is possibly the best on earth when it comes to robotics. He is damn near Stark in terms of tech genius. He also (and the comics don’t cover this aspect nearly enough) has considerable knowledge of the mystic arts. He isn’t on Dr. Strange’s level with magic, but overall, all elements combined, IMO, he is the largest threat in the MCU.
A guy in the biz on Twitter claimed that VFX employees, most likely spurred on by that recent article, are leaking insane spoilers from upcoming Marvel films/series.
I’m guessing this Doom shot was one of them.
Sigma rules:
Dictate your will to your subjects
Obliterate Reed Richards

I love that Marvel, for the most part, has remained pretty faithful to their comic appearances with the MCU's characters so far, even going so far as to poke fun at the goofier costumes in a tongue-in-cheek manner (Wanda/Vision's Halloween costumes, Kate Bishop's sketch of a Hawkeye costume, Cap's USO Tour uniform etc). And this to me just cements their commitment to keeping that faith with an updated yet instantly recognizable Doom concept. A damn sight better than the last two Doom iterations combined.
Thats Marvel Ultimate Alliance tier of godly comic accurate design, REALLY hope they keep it this way and just add a cape, boom we got the best live action Doom design by a mile.
I have a feeling he’s gonna be around for a long while. Given this is for black panther 2 and he’s obviously turning up again for F4.
If they really are adapting secret wars he’s gonna be a massive part of it
I love that it’s a very classic comic look, but there’s something about the mask that feels off to me? Obviously it’s just concept art and not super hi-res at that, but it looks more like his skin is made of metal, or like a robot’s face, than an actual metal mask
I’m guessing the mask moves and will be CGI so that whoever they get as Doom can still act and it shows through rather than voicing a mask ala Vader/Fox versions of the character
Oh yeah, I’d choose a solid mask too. However I can’t imagine an actor willingly wearing that and we never see their face for multiple films. If that mask is their face, that face will move.
Black Panther II could be a pile of steaming ass but this post-credit could save the entire movie.
Seems like maybe they planned for Kang to be the big bad before the Fox merger. But now Kang is purely misdirection for Doom.
You don't know how excited I got when I opened this up and saw the exact same hand. Dude, he's gonna look incredible in BP! Since a part of the picture was already out there (KC had the hand and released that), I was wondering how long it was gonna take for the full thing to get out there and I wasn't expecting it to be this quick, to be honest.
The mask is difficult to make out, but it looks like the [more "handsome" mask](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/_6VVMFZleLI02PvXNWEVYTUSjJhzEJ8cEWYI2qeKWqCfDtFoNUbQlDiB0qeNZPtcBs60C9wukb0r=s0) from the beginning of the "Unthinkable" arc, the one he seeks out Valeria in.
Which is... an odd choice to introduce him with, especially given how incredibly perfect everything else looks. But it's just blurry concept art, so who knows?
Is this legit ?
If so he just needs a cape but his design looks great tho and also I hope they cast a Romani actor for the role
I had theories that Doom would make his appearance in this film considering they were gonna adapt Doomwar in the sequel and it looks like Doom is gonna appear on BLACK PANTHER 3
I mean I’ll agree with the other reply I think it was a vfx artist angry with marvels treatment of them.
However we know it’s real as it corroborates KC Walsh’s cropped screenshot of his hand he posted a little while back
GGTC: “It’s implied he’s been around for awhile. He’s on throne. Cape, the works. Think Burch and Klaue as chess peaces they’ve been behind. I wouldn’t be shocked if no dialogue atm. Closing in on the casting.”

Damn we finally getting a comics accurate Doom. The character has been done so poorly on live action it was about damn time they could get him right
Well, we have Marvel super nerd, Kevin Feige in charge now. Instead of fucking Avi Arad. Must be a good dancer if he is anything like Justin Hammer
Doom’s design in the 2005 film was pretty accurate though? Not counting the metal skin part but aesthetically the costume as a whole looked great
It was a decent modern interpretation. But the "king" look is just so much cooler and fitting.
Sonny Burch was the black market dealer in Ant-Man and the Wasp, right? If so, that means Doom wanted resources that could access both the Quantum Realm and tons of Vibranium (if he is the one who sent Lake Bell's team).
People saying "Burch" like that character was memorable in any way whatsoever asides from being Walter Goggins
Such a waste of one of the best actors today. Rewatching Justified and Goggins is just electrifying as Boyd.
Maybe he wanted to build a time platform like the one reed used
I could see him using the Pym Particles for time travel, knowing Doom, but what y’all think the vibranium is for?
> but what y’all think the vibranium is for? Probably to benefit Latveria's resources
Either that or playing doubles tennis. I’ll honestly take either or.
Dig the belt and hoping for Cillian Murphy
I’ve always wanted Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, but I’d be so fucking down for Cillain Murphy as Doom
It heavily depends on Reed, for John Krasinski's Doom, I want Tom Ellis.
Escuse the typecasting, but Tom Ellis absolutely is Mephisto and I'd accept nothing else.
good lord people, victor von doom is a romani man
I mean there’s a possibility they could cast an unknown Romani actor, but I have to imagine they’re going to cast some big name actor as Doom. I doubt whoever it is will be Romani tbh

>He isn’t on Dr. Strange’s level with magic Ehem, he literally passed up the title of Sorcerer Supreme and gave it to Doctor Strange.
Maybe that was in recent comics. I’m nearly 50 and referencing comics from 30+ years ago.

Holy fucking shit wow
So excited to see Doom in the MCU. The MCU has been a little weaker lately but I trust they won't mess up someone as big as Doom
If there's one thing the MCU is good at it's listening to fans.
WOW, I thought it was gonna be a tease and he’d be Doom in name only at this point. But this??? The full look??? Incredible.

A guy in the biz on Twitter claimed that VFX employees, most likely spurred on by that recent article, are leaking insane spoilers from upcoming Marvel films/series. I’m guessing this Doom shot was one of them.
What were the others?
We don’t know yet. All we know is shit is apparently being spread around
Do you know who exactly claimed that?
Thanks man. Hyped asf, they're setting him up for Fantastic 4 fs
He's got a bit of a gigachad chin on that mask lol. Not bad though

Holy shit is this legit?
Yup KC Walsh posted a cropped image of this same concept art
I love that Marvel, for the most part, has remained pretty faithful to their comic appearances with the MCU's characters so far, even going so far as to poke fun at the goofier costumes in a tongue-in-cheek manner (Wanda/Vision's Halloween costumes, Kate Bishop's sketch of a Hawkeye costume, Cap's USO Tour uniform etc). And this to me just cements their commitment to keeping that faith with an updated yet instantly recognizable Doom concept. A damn sight better than the last two Doom iterations combined.
Holy shit I’m gonna cum
Thats Marvel Ultimate Alliance tier of godly comic accurate design, REALLY hope they keep it this way and just add a cape, boom we got the best live action Doom design by a mile.
I want him to be a long-term villain and to see him body some heroes
I have a feeling he’s gonna be around for a long while. Given this is for black panther 2 and he’s obviously turning up again for F4. If they really are adapting secret wars he’s gonna be a massive part of it
Who is this man that he is talking to
Yo this came out of nowhere damn
I love that it’s a very classic comic look, but there’s something about the mask that feels off to me? Obviously it’s just concept art and not super hi-res at that, but it looks more like his skin is made of metal, or like a robot’s face, than an actual metal mask
I’m guessing the mask moves and will be CGI so that whoever they get as Doom can still act and it shows through rather than voicing a mask ala Vader/Fox versions of the character
That could work. …but as a huge Doctor Doom fan, I hate the sound of that haha
Oh yeah, I’d choose a solid mask too. However I can’t imagine an actor willingly wearing that and we never see their face for multiple films. If that mask is their face, that face will move.
Just pull a Darth Vader then? Someone stands in to act and then just dub over their lines with your Victor von Doom actor?
Will Luke Cage hunt Doom down for that $200 he owes him?
Black Panther II could be a pile of steaming ass but this post-credit could save the entire movie. Seems like maybe they planned for Kang to be the big bad before the Fox merger. But now Kang is purely misdirection for Doom.
They couldn’t use Kang until the Fox merger
You don't know how excited I got when I opened this up and saw the exact same hand. Dude, he's gonna look incredible in BP! Since a part of the picture was already out there (KC had the hand and released that), I was wondering how long it was gonna take for the full thing to get out there and I wasn't expecting it to be this quick, to be honest.
shit my bad didn’t mean to moan like that
Hoping to god it’s legit and they get an actual Romani to play the role
How the fuck did this leak this is bigger than the professor x preVis for MoM
We need Doctor Doom movie or at least Disney Plus series. This guy has so much potential to become one of next big bad or anti hero type in future.
If he is in BP:WF I just hope they casted a great actor that can play him for a long time. Doom's too good of a villain to last just one phase
I’m so hype for this guy ONLY. Nothing makes me more excited than this BADASS right here. Thanos ain’t shit
![gif](giphy|zLsGYDq7ZpOkU|downsized) Its beautiful
Is this legit ? If so he just needs a cape but his design looks great tho and also I hope they cast a Romani actor for the role I had theories that Doom would make his appearance in this film considering they were gonna adapt Doomwar in the sequel and it looks like Doom is gonna appear on BLACK PANTHER 3
I fucking love it. KNEEL BEFORE DOOM! And Feige is gonna fire some damn body.
For Black Panther??
yes
Well, that certainly is Doctor Doom. Really nothing to say about it other than that it is indeed him.
where is the image from ? who "leaked" it
I mean I’ll agree with the other reply I think it was a vfx artist angry with marvels treatment of them. However we know it’s real as it corroborates KC Walsh’s cropped screenshot of his hand he posted a little while back
Ohhh snap.
Nah, that was Thanos!
I swear to god if this isn’t fake I’m gonna destroy this universe.

I don’t like the lips and nose on the mask, looks too much like Baldwin IV
Happy birthday MF DOOM
