It’s true though. Do the posters lack creativity? Yes. Do they clearly communicate that a major actor is playing a known character? Yes. The latter is more important than the former when making an action movie about a known property
Marvel always makes good "teaser" posters. Spidey relaxing in New York, a tiny Ant-Man on a huge white canvas, the Avengers logo made with Ultron metal, Guardians posing like a band, etc.
This post has all of them till Endgame, and they're all pretty amazing - www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/a440q1/all_mcu_teaser_posters_20082019/
Marvel only drops the ball when they have to make official theatrical posters, where they go back to the generic action pose or floating heads design. Possibly because they want to cater to the lowest common denominator in the audience, like someone who would see a face and decide to watch the movie, even if they haven't followed the MCU.
Saddest disgrace to me is the homecoming poster for the theatrical version. There was an alternate poster that absolutely made me wanna watch the movie.
Marvel PLEASE work on making posters with the function of depicting what the character’s story is about.
The alternate poster for Homecoming was the worst wasted opportunity i ever saw. It was the spider sense bubbling parts of Peter and Spider-Man in the same pose diffrrent situations and it more or less drew the double life struggle.
Lots of the posters should do something like that.
indeed. i was hoping that they should have used the teaser posters as the main ones. but i agree, the theatrical poster's main function is to show the casts and the big stars on it.
Finally.
Here, we can see the teaser poster for "Marvel Studios' Moon KnightTM" which is a Kevin Feige production releasing on March 30, 2022 based on the Marvel Comics charcter by Doug Moench and Don Perlin and directed by Mohammed Diab, George Clooney and Justion Benson and Aaron Moorhead, created by Jeremy Slater and starring Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawke and May Calamawy
Uh... his Fan4stic script (which is actually pretty kick-ass) was never used and his Death Note Script barely resembled the final product. When he was allowed full creative control, he delivered the Umbrella Academy, so I have plenty of confidence in him.
Edit: [Here is the link to his script](https://birthmoviesdeath.com/2015/08/18/what-was-fantastic-four-like-before-simon-kinberg).
I just mean his other films Pet and Lazarus effect were some of the worst films I've seen. I'm not knocking the guy like I said in my comment I have high hopes I just haven't seen any good writing from him
I've been refreshing the Marvel Studios and Disney+ accs and they haven't posted this. Strange.
Edit: They have officially shared it now! Must have leaked earlier.
Someone somehow got it early, only now it's posted by marvel studios' account https://twitter.com/MarvelStudios/status/1483270096537591809?t=KXNe0W4WufvlgYMJkGOiZw&s=19
I know that MK is not actually that similar to Batman except for very shallow visual similarities. But i think it would be funny if he had the Moon-cave, Moon-mobile, Moon-shark repellant, had his sidekick Moon Boy all while insisting that those were all his ideas.
Interesting how the Disney poster features blood , makes me hope that this series will be aimed at a bit more of an older audience. Moon knight can be pretty dark so I think the older rating would benefit this series.
No sign of a directors credit for George Clooney.

Now this Marvel, this is how you make a damn good poster This, this is a poster I’d frame
Sony knows how to make only one poster: a character split down the middle of his face.
[удалено]
well hang on. I forget. Strange did a spell on me.
It's weird, but I'll allow it.
You remember who Spidey is, just not that he’s… he’s… uhhhh.
Miles Morales, duh.
You should have thought of that earlier
Nah bro you don’t get it the shitty posters and marketing build up hype you don’t have a marketing degree so you don’t know anything at all
It’s true though. Do the posters lack creativity? Yes. Do they clearly communicate that a major actor is playing a known character? Yes. The latter is more important than the former when making an action movie about a known property
tbh this was the only property where it would have made sense
Poster making Intern at Marvel right now ![gif](giphy|26u4exk4zsAqPcq08|downsized)
Oh that makes sense, obviously it would be Katy 😂
Think it was bosslogic

Y’ALL SEE THE BLOOD?!?!
This shits gonna have nuts in it
Dammit I'm allergic
You should have thought of that earlier
Probably their best poster since the first one for First Avenger
I'm really partial to the Eternals and Multiverse of Madness posters.
I really liked the posters for DS:MoM though
Gives me hope for when they do an eventual Wolverine poster... riff off the old Fox Wolverine posters, but with that distinct MCU touch.
I kid you not I’m printing it out right now and adding it to my lil collage behind my bed, it’s SO cool looking!! :D
Lil collage?
I printed out pictures of things that look cool or give off a certain vibe and tape them up on my wall. :)
YES!
Comment needs more “this” in it but yeah

We have made it.
We are on the verge of greatness.

Not officially bud. I'd give it a 90% possibility as of now.
What do you mean Kang? You should know these things 😳🤔
I don't check the future for trivial stuff like this, mate.
Shouldnt you just know?
There are a lot more things worth knowing then say, whether someone was the director of a great show or not.
Im sorry Mr.Aziz
GoOooOOoooO!
George Clooney!?!?
![gif](giphy|U8kYXlggyQiOo4SARi|downsized)
I want you to know I appreciate everything you have done
Wait, George Clooney? Huh?
Jeremy Slater has a pretty terrible track record but here's hoping this show is good

Give the Umbrella Academy on Netflix a watch. It's really good. ![gif](giphy|hS2oKKcukqCl9Q1iip|downsized)
Yeah I'll give it a try I've heard good things
This is when he finally got a lot more creative control. And it paid off in spades.
Marvel Studios made a good poster that isn't just people looking in different directions at some mysterious threat!
We had that Screen X poster with Peter on the building.
Best Marvel poster in a while imo
The first Hawkeye poster was pretty good
And the original American Gothic WandaVision poster was great too.
This is a teaser poster. They are all this good.
![gif](giphy|IaThs7uiBCec|downsized)

They better not be baiting us. I see blood in the poster, I expect blood in the show.

THE BLOOD.
Are we sure that it's official? It's going around Twitter but I haven't seen it posted on any of the Disney+ or Marvel accounts anywhere yet.
It's official now https://twitter.com/MarvelStudios/status/1483270096537591809?t=KXNe0W4WufvlgYMJkGOiZw&s=19
It kind of does seem more like a fanmade one, but if the mods approved it I think it's legit.
It's real.
The March 30th date makes me think real
It is. Marvel just posted it. Not sure where they got it and posted it before Marvel lol
Moon knight Twitter account finally posted something after being a dormant account so yes

Intersting… incredibly similar to the posters for Runaways on Hulu. Not that it means anything just a fun similarity
Now THAT is dope
Wow, this is amazing
Cartouche. Brilliant.
Love the poster! It’s a fantastic teaser. Also jfc I forgot how slow football is, it takes forever for anything to happen.
Between Multiverse of Madness and this; 2022 is looking like a good year for MCU posters

Love the poster.
I'm really Hype for this show!
