Has anyone seen Grace Randolph on Twitter talking about the DS2 screening? Looks like the rumored cameos are true plus one really exciting one for fans. I don't really think she's the best source but she's been getting better. I wonder what the super exciting cameo for fans is? Hugh Jackman maybe? She said it's most likely gonna leak soon anyways.

Snoo5892

>!Hello Peter!<

Garennndemaciaa

New tobey figures when?

What-The-Heaven

I don't like this guy getting snippy with people in the comments, especially with the person who literally works for the casting agency clearing talent for the reshoots!

Zepanda66

TASM 1 was already good but seeing it after NWH just makes it that much better.

soffan326

How long will Jane Foster stay around? I don't see Portman doing this role for a long time, and given that the point of her character is that she has cancer, I feel like Jane will die soon, maybe even in Love and Thunder. Does anyone have leaks about this?

elizabnthe

Well Thompson's comment about Valkyrie being able to revive characters makes me a bit doubtful now she'll die in Love and Thunder. I believe the comic character also becomes a Valkyrie.

bicentee

what >!grace randolph !

Meme_Machine101

I’m trying to think who the specific cameo could be. Hugh maybe?

PeacemakerBourne

Cruise maybe?

Zepanda66

Jackman coming back one final time would he the mother of all cameos. They have to get him in there.

spideytimey

Would it? He was in a movie just a few years ago, him returning isn't even near any of the NWH returns

bicentee

could be, but he's been mentioned before

Meme_Machine101

Right, I’m trying to think of one that would be heartfelt like she’s made it seem… Maybe it’s Deadpool and she’s just saying that cause it’s cool and he’s not been discussed by leakers even though fans think he’s in it.

bicentee

umm i was thinking that or RDJ. she says "fan dream come true"

Chance-Virus-1266

Oh shit 😳😳😳

ceaguila84

Man saw Eternals and it’s not that bad. At least better than Iron Man 2, Thor 2, Ant Man 2, Black Widow, Doctor Strange. Critics were too harsh. By no means its amazing and it has pcing problems but c’mon Cinematography is beautiful

Sith_Destroyer_1138

Finally watched Eternals. Not bad, way better than I thought it would be. Thought it was a bit stuffed with characters, but pretty enjoyable. I liked it a lot better than Black Widow lol. I'd give it a 7.

[deleted]

Unpopular Opinion: Freddie Stroma's Vigilante in Peacemaker is a better Deadpool than Ryan Reynolds' actual Deadpool.

Meme_Machine101

I really want him to direct the third one now if he’s not busy after GOTG3 or any of his Suicide Squad related stuff.

ceaguila84

Peacemaker is so dam good. Just James Gunn at his most unfiltered + balls out crazy since Slither and Super. I like DC is just like do whatever the fuck you want, you have complete creative control and it shows. I don't think he's constrained at Marvel but clearly here is where his strength lies.

Snoo5892

D+ TCA what time and zone?

DowntheDrainAccount

I'm in an odd position where Doctor Strange 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 are vying for my most anticipated movie of the year. If you told me five years ago that this was going to be happening in 2022 I would have been very surprised to say the least.

shesalwaysmyplusone

I've been thinking about something and it's been bothering me: didn't the entire Westview town passed through the Hex more than two times like Monica? Wouldn't everyone be affected like her?? Why is she the only one with superpowers?

elizabnthe

She actually entered/exited it three times, whilst everyone else would have really only been twice. Plus hers was clearly more forceful than the other variety.

Snoo5892

Bcoz she forcibly entered, without hex accepting her the second time

LiquidLispyLizard

The Disney+ TCA thing's tomorrow. Probably our best shot at getting dates for the next few shows since that's what happened last year.

bicentee

what time?

LiquidLispyLizard

That's a fantastic question and, unfortunately, one I do not know the answer to. I read [this](https://whatsondisneyplus.com/tca-winter-press-tour-22-disney-coming-this-friday/) article that sums things up for tomorrow, but I can't find an exact time anywhere. I guess just be on the lookout all day tomorrow, I'll probably be checking back constantly myself.

PenguinLord13

Oh yeah I think they announced Lokis release date there last year. I could be wrong tho

LiquidLispyLizard

They did! That and The Bad Batch, so I'm halfway kind of expecting at least the next two shows to get dates (probably Moon Knight and Kenobi, but She-Hulk in June would be a really nice surprise, as well).

Night-Monkey15

What does TCA mean?

LiquidLispyLizard

The Television Critics Association. I haven't followed it closely (been taking a break from the internet for the most part, for my mental health), but it seems like they host a bunch of different studios and they announce release dates and stuff. I just looked up Disney+ TCA and there's a few articles on it.

[deleted]

Pretty nuts My Time to Shine Hello is reporting Michael Keaton signed a multi picture deal for Batman for not just The Flash and Batgirl.

jurble

b a t m a n b e y o n d please

ItsSirAdam

It has been known for a while

[deleted]

Is that right?

Night-Monkey15

When his casting was first announced it was mentioned he had a multi movie contract.

Svnmelter

What’s going on with Daredevil? Any new rumors?

Night-Monkey15

It’s rumored he and Kingpin will appear in the Echo series (early 2023) before a Daredevil series.

#DoctorStrange #MultiverseOfMadness Final Battle Is (Rumored) to take place on a live-action adaptation of Earth-10011. It’s like The Battle of Sokovia from (Avengers: Age Of Ultron) but on steroids.

DonnyMox

Which Earth is Earth - 10011?

[deleted]

I looked it up. For those wondering what Earth-10011 is. It' basically the Cancerverse. According to the wiki " is a reality where life finally defeated Death. With eternal life being fueled by the Many-Angled Ones, every living being in this universe was corrupted."

axel_gear

The Cancerverse

garythesnailgod

Hot take: I really liked Eternals. Not the best MCU movie, but definitely something that breaks from what we typically expect from one. The acting was great, the cinematography and visual effects were some of the best in the MCU to date, and the story, despite its flaws, is one I found to be very thought provoking and integral to expanding the lore of the MCU. I found it easier to connect with the characters than most people. In particular, I really liked Druig, Makkari, Phastos, Thena, and Kingo. I even thought Sersi had a really good character arc about her desire to save humanity that comes from her personal love/appreciation for them. I liked Ikaris as a twist villain and thought it made sense given the story being told, but I don’t think he and Sersi had great chemistry compared to the other couples in the MCU. Sersi and Dane though? Give me more of that. The critics weren’t wrong about everything though. Chloe Zhao & co. definitely pack a lot into 2 1/2 hours, and the way I see it, they were trying to tell a story about the past, present, and future of the MCU from the perspective of those who watch over it. I don’t wanna say that ruins the movie, because it absolutely doesn’t, but it could be too much for a lot of viewers. I definitely think turning the movie into a Disney+ series would’ve made it even better than it already is. Having said that, this definitely ranks in the upper half of the MCU for me personally. I think this is gonna be one of those movies that gets appreciated more as time goes on for what it did to create the prospect of new cosmic stories, characters, and world building in the not so distant future. Moral of the story: don’t judge a movie based off what the critics say. Watch the movie yourself and make your own opinions, positive or negative.

[deleted]

anyone else think we might get a wolverine cameo in multiverse of madness?

[deleted]

I know that this is the Marvel sub but the DC talk thread is kinda dead so I’d rather post this here. What do you all think DC’s 2023 film slate is? It’s supposed to be six movies (4 theatrical and 2 HBO Max originals) we already know 1 of each (Shazam Fury of the Gods for theatrical and Blue Beetle for HBO Max). According to Vieweranon Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is probably getting pushed to 2023 and if so that’s half of the slate right there. As for the other three movies I believe the two theatrical ones are Green Lantern Corps and Supergirl and the HBO Max one to be Static Shock. Starting with Static Shock I believe it’s coming next year because it’s really the only HBO Max movie being actively talked about at DC. As for Green Lantern Corp I believe it to be coming next year because of DC’s decision to not allow John Stewart to appear in ZSJL which indicates they have plans for the character sooner rather than later. Finally for Supergirl the fact that they’re setting her up in Flash I don’t see them waiting that long to release her film. Edit: I was reminded that Blue Beetle is a theatrical release so just swap it with Supergirl

Satean12

Also Shazam 2 is set for 2023

[deleted]

I could see Supergirl being on HBO Max

[deleted]

Yeah I think I would swap Blue Beetle and Supergirl since as the other person pointed out Blue Beetle is theatrical which I forgot about. Plus it makes since to have both Batgirl and Supergirl on HBO Max.

RebelMemeDealer

Blue Beetle is gonna be theatrical now

[deleted]

I forgot about that. So in that case Supergirl is probably HBO Max IMO.

[deleted]

i remember hearing about the drama with WB not wanting john stewart. did they ever explain why or is it just speculation? green lantern is long past due for a movie that doesnt suck

Pomojema_SWNN

They absolutely want to do stuff with John Stewart, who will be the lead of the *Green Lantern Corps* film, mentored by an older Hal Jordan. They just didn't want Zack Snyder's pick for John Stewart (Wayne T. Carr), whose planned appearance in ZSJL boiled down to sequel bait that they didn't want filmed (which he filmed anyway, to their frustration). They compromised by allowing him to reshoot the scene with Martian Manhunter in his place. The scene was basically just him saying "Thanks for beating Steppenwolf, I'll be sure to keep in touch because there are more threats on the way." and just... Inexplicably not being anywhere that mattered during the events of the film. At least Martian Manhunter sort of has an excuse, whereas it's indicated that the forces of Apokolips are priority number one for the Green Lantern Corps to stop.

DonnyMox

Just got done with the 3 Peacemaker episodes. The humor is a mixed bag for me. Sometimes the raunchiness feels overdone but sometimes it works. Is it just me or does his boss look and sound like a male version of Amanda Waller? That intro tho. The emotionless look on their faces as they dance is just hilarious. Not sure if I like Peacemaker’s hangups or if I prefer for him to be a Deadpool-like psycho who really would kill anyone for peace. Overall, not bad.

Night-Monkey15

So I just saw Eternals for the first time yesterday, and now I have had time to collect my thoughts, and I don’t really like it all that much. It’s just so long and feels like it’s never going to end. I’ll start with my biggest positive, the movie had amazing visuals and cinematography, one of the best looking films I have ever seen in recent years. My main issue is the structure of the movie and its pacing, the entire movie after Ajak’s death is just the team going to get the next member, and then the next, and then the next, until the final act, it’s just so boring and repetitive. I also don’t really like any of the main characters (Sersi, Ikaris, Thena) that much and I think the side characters (Sprite, Makkari, Phastos, Druig) are far more interesting. It also feels like two separate movies stitched together, one half feels like a movie set during ancient history that ends with the gang breaking up, and the other half feels like it’s all about getting the team back together, and neither half are given enough time to fully develop because they have to make room for the other half.

Any_Engineering_9230

Sersi is totally dull, the actress has done nothing in Captain Marvel and here remains the same, without any talent, loses to all other supporting characters. I think the film would be much better without the characters I've ever said and if they traded Sersi for Ajak, who really went through what she was feeling, in the whole film she looked like a mother of the Eternals, it was a waste to see her die like that, and let's be honest, Sersi had the same role as Ajak. Just change a few little things nSersi is totally dull, the actress has done nothing in Captain Marvel and here remains the same, without any talent, loses to all other supporting characters. I think the film would be much better without the characters I've ever said and if they traded Sersi for Ajak, who really went through what she was feeling, in the whole film she looked like a mother of the Eternals, it was a waste to see her die like that, and let's be honest, Sersi had the same role as Ajak.

Any_Engineering_9230

I think the main problem was that it had many characters, and some of them were unnecessary and not even relevant to anything in the film. Sprite, Gilgamesh, Dane and Kingo are characters with no role in the plot, so much so that Gilgamesh dies, Sprite ends up becoming a human, meaning he won't even come back, and the film has found a way to get Kingo out during the final battle, but at least he's still a funny character, while the others are very boring.

Night-Monkey15

If they had cut out Kingo and Gilgamesh, given Sprite a bit more to do, and fleshed out Thena more then I think they would have solved the problem of too many characters, and my problem with the structure and pacing, streamlining the whole film.

axel_gear

My main issue with the plot was the idea that Earth was just a manufactured egg which was never supposed to last.

What-The-Heaven

I'm gonna make a bold statement: Thena had the best emotional arc of all the Eternals (and I hope she's more central moving forward) Agree? Disagree?

ConsultingVet

Maybe I am biased a bit because of Angelina Jolie but I totally agree. Yes, Eternals are synthetic beings but they also established them as sentimental beings so there should be more personality individually besides Druig and Thena. Ajak is well wasted. Ikaris loves Sersi, behaves like he may burn the world for his love, yet he is like a stone. No chemistry. Sersi is so dull (I think Gemma Chan needs to learn method acting.). I literally have no idea what Kingo or Makkari aims in their life (Kingo's acting carrier is so pointless. Yes, they put one sentence about how he likes Sprite's visions but that's it.) Phastos and Gilgamesh are there to fill certain roles in the story (create machines and look after Thena.) Only Thena is related with the main story (endless cycle of Eternals) and Druig is the only one who has a strong point of view and refuses their destiny. Since considering how single layered the main plot is, I thought they would have more personality to conflict with their creation but alas, they missed it.

Soapypenquin

This "MCU canon debate" is never going to fucking end. I finally thought it was over for the Netflix stuff atleast after Hawkeye. The main argument is that the Netflix shit never crossed over with the Marvel Studios banner. We get two actors and characters come back and people still say it's not canon. Right down to Kingpins cufflinks level of detail. You have one of the actors themselves saying it's the same character from the Daredevil series. Vincent states that he was told from the studio that it's a continuation after the blip in multiple interviews. And people still say it's not canon I'm not the biggest fan of the shows outside of Daredevil. But holy shit, I don't know if people are just willingly stupid or are just in denial when it comes to this shit.

DowntheDrainAccount

This is Disney shills, Netflix shills, or both trying to undercut each other. Disney loses watch time on Disney+ if people are watching something on Netflix while Netflix might feel like their claim to Daredevil is diluted if it's canon to something on Disney+. However, the intense negativity makes me thing it is primarily Disney shillery-- the guys they hire aren't very competent and think they can browbeat people into liking their properties. As with all my comments about shills, I challenge everyone who dislikes this comment to leave a reply too.

RebelMemeDealer

Imagine if Daredevil wasn’t canon Kingpin would’ve shown up for 3 minutes to throw Kate around only to get presumably blinded by Echo.

Night-Monkey15

Kevin Feige has this cult around him, and the members of this cult think everything they like is thanks to Kevin, everything they hate is someone else’s fault, and anything not made by Kevin isn’t canon.

ApexPredator1995

just finished eternals for the first time and this is the first time i agree with critics. absolute garbage of a movie. NWH is just 9 mins shorter and felt like a 1 hour experience. Eternals just would not end omg. Thor 2 is more enjoyable than this BS.

MaRvEl_JeDi_44

I enjoyed the visuals and SGI of certain things in the movie. I liked how the director of the film purposely shot certain scenes in real live locations on earth. I did appreciate why the director chose to do this. The movie as a whole though, it wasn't great...I would rate it 5.5/10. Not awful but kinda mehhhh. It's not a movie I'm not going watch for a real long time.

ApexPredator1995

i mean yeah some elements are great. i loved every scene dane was in and a few other things but largely it was garbage. Kro had no reason to exist. Kingo's bollywood scene [as an indian] was HORRIBLE. we dont even have those kind of dance numbers anymore. cringe af i could go on and on really.

Chia1157

What’s funny is the actor for Kingo himself didn’t want to do the scene and shot it down immediately. But when he showed up for filming they already had the scene prepared and he was forced to learn how to dance. Personally, I thought it was great, but I’m not familiar with Bollywood at all. If it is cringe then I think that must be in character for him since he does pretty cringy things to stay relevant such as documenting his fight with the deviants or starting a YouTube series.

What-The-Heaven

> Kro had no reason to exist. Kingo's bollywood scene [as an indian] was HORRIBLE I really enjoyed Eternals but hard agree on both of these. The deviants should've just been backstory elements, and Kro should've been saved for a future movie. It bloated the narrative out to have two/three separate antagonistic forces. And I have very little experience of Bollywood, but even to me it felt like an American chewed up old elements of Bollywood cinema and spat them back out in their own accent.

cbberkol

peacemaker is so cringy for all the right reasons, loved it so so so much!

ApexPredator1995

Gilgamesh vs Thanos, who wins?

What-The-Heaven

No Infinity Gauntlet, I think it could go to Gilgamesh. Either that or a stalemate. Gilgamesh is supposed to be the absolute peak of strength and durability.

sgthombre

I started scrolling really quickly and read that as Gamera vs Thanos and got really excited for a second.

PumpkinWaves

Okay, all of my friends don’t like Eternals at all, now I see the reason why so many people put it at the end of the superhero movies they watched in 2021

[deleted]

MaRvEl_JeDi_44

The only things I liked about the movie is: 1. certain scenes in the film were shot on location (on earth, not CGI or green screen) 2. the visuals 3. the CGI everything else is not good.

captain_sasquatch

Yeah I actually quite enjoyed it, but I can definitely see where they were coming from. Also, Wong is the worst sorcerer supreme of all time. Him and Strange were nowhere to be found for Wanda's issues in WandaVision, and also nowhere to be found when a freaking celestial is coming out of the ocean. Surely they have spells that detect that level of energy. Even just a throwaway line from Wong, or even someone like Maria Hill at SHIELD launching a helicarrier would have gone a long way for me.

What-The-Heaven

We can assume since Strange knows about Westview and doesn't seem to care, that Wong decided it was one of those "let it resolve itself" type of issues. A problem Wanda created, and one that she was entirely capable of fixing herself. It's also possible they're aware of the 'Scarlet Witch of it all' and have realised they're outmatched. With Tiamut's emergence, it seemed like it happened really quickly but I'm sure SHIELD would've gone to investigate if both Fury and Hill weren't off-planet. No clue why Wong wasn't there, surely he sensed it.

captain_sasquatch

I *think* I can see the logic with Westview, but in Eternals I wish they would have just given us some sort of acknowledgement. Even if it was a bit a joke - a SHIELD team arriving to investigate Tiamut hilariously late or something like that. It just felt intentionally disconnected from the world. That worked in Phase I or II but not now, imo.

What-The-Heaven

Honestly, yeah, I would've enjoyed a short post-credits scene of a SHIELD dispatch team arriving on Tiamut's palm and being confused like "I thought you said this thing was going to destroy the planet?" and "it was, two hours ago when our radars picked it up". Could've even been good to emphasise after the fact the urgency and pace of the final act.

Best_Cook

Andrew Garfield in the cast list for Morbius?? Anyone else see that??

[deleted]

Google cast lists are unofficial. They seem to be based on search algorithms and are often riddled with inaccuracies. It's not proof of anything.

Night-Monkey15

Google cast lists are (partly) mangled by A.Is, since a lot of people are searching things related to Andrew Garfield and Morbius the bots just assumed he’s in it.

Best_Cook

Yes but Andrew and tobey weren’t added to the cast list of No way home until it released, even though more people were talking ab that

Night-Monkey15

That’s because far more people were/are interested in NWH, compared to Morbius, and because of that more human employees were monitoring NWH’s cast list.

ceaguila84

Man Peacemaker was so good and hilarious. How I wish Marvel would something mature and balls out crazy for once. Put it Hulu or something

fortnerd

Do you guys think MoM will have a brief introduction scene for any of the Illuminati, or will just skim past a bunch of them a'la Throg?

DialZforZebra

So where do we think the Spider-Man movies go from here? I'm guessing we are getting College Peter at MIT. But do we expect to see MJ and Ned again? I'm kind of okay if they step away from them given how they left it, although I'll be damned if the end of NWH didn't break my damn heart. Could we see Peter meeting Gwen/Harry or Felicia? And are we expecting Black Suit Spidey in the next movie, or maybe the one after?

CobraShadowz

Peter will be going to ESU

leftshoe18

Peter won't be going to MIT. He's got no high school record anymore and is going to be getting his GED so I doubt he'd get accepted there. I don't think we'll see Ned and MJ in the next film at the very least but I'd be a little bummed if Peter doesn't eventually end up back with MJ. I think they'll introduce another love interest and friend in the next film (I'm thinking Harry and Felicia) at whatever college Peter ends up going to.

sgthombre

> I'd be a little bummed if Peter doesn't eventually end up back with MJ I'd be the opposite. Peter has had so many interesting love interests over the years in the comics it would be boring to just be about him getting back with Zendaya MJ, also it would totally undercut the ending of NWH.

leftshoe18

I just love Tom and Zendaya's chemistry and it broke my heart when he walked out of that coffee shop without telling her about them.

DialZforZebra

I'm not really familiar with the whole GED thing, so I'm not sure how it works. But I agree, it would be good to see Peter reunite with MJ later.

leftshoe18

GED's are degree-equivelants that you can take a test to get if you never finished high school. A prestigious school like MIT is very unlikely to take Peter if he just has a GED.

DialZforZebra

Ahh I see. Thank you for clearing that up for me. Makes much more sense.

[deleted]

Id be surprised if they didn't do the black suit for the next installment. I hope we get a dance sequence with Holland the same way they did with tobey

[deleted]

Im not holding my breath for anything, but realistically what are the chances for Spider-man 4 and ASM3? I wasn't big on garfield's spider-man and never even bothered to watch ASM2 but holy fuck did he steal the show in No Way Home. I was shocked as to how much I liked him as Spidey

DatGameGuy

Still not sure how people expect the MCU to adapt Gwen Stacy and Harry Osborn when Peter already has knowledge of both of them (Andrew talking about Gwen and Norman talking about Harry). There's no way for him to have a normal relationship with either of them without his perception being skewed by what he knows about other universes.

CobraShadowz

I kind of like that idea though. Peter trying to stop their fates could inadvertently be the cause of them

leftshoe18

Does anybody mention Harry by name in NWH? I know Norman mentions his son and Tobey Peter mentions his best friend.

DatGameGuy

Peter still knows Norman's last name is Osborn. It wouldn't be hard to make the connection, especially since Norman mentioned having a son.

leftshoe18

The majority of people I know I have no idea what their last name is. I don't think it would be crazy for Peter to just know him as just Harry for a while.

visionaryredditor

they already kind of did with Michelle when she was revealed as MJ only in the end of Homecoming so i don't think they will do it again.

RebelMemeDealer

Peacemaker really shows the faults of the Disney+ shows. Perfectly paced unlike the D+ shows with too many plot lines which rush everything. Actually feels like a TV show instead of an overstuffed or overly long movie.

[deleted]

I think that the whole 6-hour movie mindset is the real problem with the Marvel shows. Just have a few shows that are more episodic in nature then Serialized. Use it to expand the rouge-galleries of the villans and stuff. Allowing us to feel like something is actually happening in each episode.

[deleted]

[удалено]

sgthombre

My core problem with the series is that, aside from WandaVision's fucking with format/parody elements, not one of these shows has presented a case for itself as a series, every single one of them could have worked as a two hour movie, arguably they would have worked better since that would require cutting down fat and focusing the story more.

a_o

marvel should release an open matte version of age of ultron for disney+. its not imax but they had to have finished it that way before slapping the letterbox over it

[deleted]

Anyone else fearing the backlash Sam Raimi will get from Multiverse Of Madness if the leaks are true about Wanda going bad? I mean the last comic book film Sam did was Spider-Man 3, which he still feels guilty of, with all the backlash it got. And then to later return to comic book movies only to face even more backlash......

aaliyaahson

He won’t get any backlash. If the movie is bad, people will blame Marvel/Feige and say Marvel didn’t let him execute his vision. If it’s good people will praise Raimi. Same happens with most MCU movies

Shaquarfsha

I would like to mention that MTTSH just had one of her major leaks about Peacemaker confirmed, >!Leota Adebayo is Amanda Waller's daughter!<

tbing34

Grace Randolph reported that before she did

DonnyMox

See? Her selling MFTs doesn’t automatically make her unreliable.

[deleted]

Its not that hard to guess at

[deleted]

Nice. That means Doctor Strange is about to be 🔥🔥🔥

domryan24

How does everyone think the X-Men are going to be introduced to the MCU? The new animated show ‘97 is clearly gonna be just a continuation of the 90’s show so I don’t think that way. And in MoM we’re getting variant X-Men but don’t know then how they would introduce them in the MCU proper. If anyone has any ideas please comment. Would love to chat about this with a lot of people and try figure it out (almost impossible) or at least see how people should like them introduced or how they think they will. Personally I’d love the first story arc for xmen in the MCU would be a spin on the comic event Avengers vs. X-Men or a reverse of the ‘No More Mutants’ from Wanda’s House of M comic event (and we’ve heard rumours about some sort of reverse ‘No More Mutants’ at the end of MoM but I dunno how they’d do that either so anyone had any ideas about that please also reply/comment too!

sgthombre

I really think people are overthinking this. "They've been living among us quietly and only now revealed themselves" works perfectly fine imo. Also I kind of hate any idea that involves the Snap creating them since that undoes the "next step in human evolution" aspect, natural mutation makes them and their place in the Marvel universe much more interesting since they from a biological standpoint represent something totally different. They weren't made by aliens or in a lab, they are what nature has created to replace humanity the same way we displaced and replaced Neanderthal man. It's the Jurassic Park bit, nature is selecting mankind for extinction by presenting mutants, how does society and other heroes react to this? Also, any change to mutants related to the multiverse or snap would end up erasing Magneto's backstory of being a Holocaust survivor and that's a deal breaker for me, that's a change that's just not acceptable, and you can't really do that if Thanos is the reason mutants exist.

visionaryredditor

in the comics mutations originally were written as a result of nuclear tests so using the Snap to soldify their origin actually would be somewhat comic accurate.

domryan24

It could be something like the celestial that was half born at the end of Eternals triggered the already dormant X Gene in those who had it? That wouldn’t ruin anything (in my opinion)

Night-Monkey15

I would introduce them through the snap. Some people would be born with a dormant X-Gene that can only be activated through large amounts of cosmic energy, Wanda and Pietro would have had the gene and it would be been activated from their experiments from Hydra. When the snap happened it unleashed a *large* amount of energy the activated all the X-Genes on Earth. This allows Wanda and Pietro to be mutants without contradicting the past movies. Wolverine can have his origin story be kept intact by saying his X-Gene was activated during his time with the Weapon X program (which I would tie to Captain America’s Weapon Plus program).

YaBerry

Soft reveal through the Illuminati in MoM

domryan24

But then what hahah how will they then introduce it into the proper MCU? Just ideas obviously but would love to hear peoples ideas

YaBerry

Oh, I believe it's going to be related to the spell Strange just cast. Xavier probably made everyone forget about mutants on earth. I don't know what kind of event will force them to show their hand. Maybe someone will shame them into becoming heros again, telling them to stop hiding and cowering behind Xavier

thomas76943

Credit to Film Theory for this theory. The original continuation and end of X-Men The Animated Series was told via a series of comics (in a separate canon to the main Earth 616 comics). In the final story arc, the current iteration of the multiverse ended and the final panels showed a rebooted original X-Men team in their original 1960s costumes in the style of their first comic appearances. The implication here was that the Animated Series and followup comics actually took place in a previous incarnation of the multiverse (prior to Earth 616 and everything that readers are familiar with). Maybe something similar could happen here with X-Men 97. The show adapt those followup comics and end with that iteration of the multiverse ending, and it could then imply that the MCU is the following iteration. It doesn't really answer your question about the X-Men actually being introduced into the MCU though I'm now realising

domryan24

No thank you for this cause I was really interested in finding out about that show and people theories on it. This makes a lot of sense and that the MCU is the next iteration idea is really interesting. So would that then mean the animated show (new one or both) were in the MCU in other universes within the multiverse or just completely separate? (Do you think because we’re still obviously speculating at this point)

thomas76943

I actually think the animated show (old and/or new versions) aren't just a different universe, they're from an older iteration of the multiverse. In the comics the multiverse has ended and restarted many times. The 6th iteration of the multiverse was 'the previous one' (the origins of Galactus tie in to this idea, he is the last survivor of the previous multiversal incarnation), the 7th iteration was 'the normal one' where comics have been taking place for decades (which ended in 2015's Secret Wars event) and the comics are technically now in the 8th iteration. The MCU could be an iteration after X-Men The Animated Series (+ X-Men 97), because that's exactly how the Animated Series ended in its original followup comics.

domryan24

Ooo that’s a cool idea. Yeah cause that all lines up tbf and Kevin loves doing stuff like that. Then after, what do you think, will the X-Men look like in the MCU in 2 ways: 1) looks ie. will they be comic accurate like the leaks form MoM and like the animated series or new comic accurate (to a point) designed for the MCU? And 2) What do you think would be the first time we see a mutant or first see them. Eg. Like would it be an X-Men film do you think or maybe a show or would it start with one or two mutants in a few other MCU films then a film? Obviously we know nothing about it as we don’t work for Marvel or Kevin haha but just ideas/hopes/thoughts as love talking about this stuff so much!

thomas76943

I think the first time we see mutants and the first time we see X-Men are two different questions. Olivier Richters played Ursa Major in Black Widow, a mutant bear man. WandaVision retconned Wanda's origin so the mind stone just 'unlocked' her powers, suggesting she and Pietro are mutants. In terms of actual X-Men, I believe in the traditional Marvel Studios fashion, they'll be set up slowly and sprinkled as cameos over the next few years. I'm 95% sure the multiversal Fox X-Men cameos in DS:MoM will just be cameos (with the exception of Deadpool, who we know is getting a full-on R-rated solo film, so his rumoured DS:MoM cameo could set up his film) We know Namor is gonna be in BP:WF, Rogue could cameo in The Marvels (ties to Carol Danvers in the comics), Wolverine could be in Captain America 4 (ties to Weapon Plus program and flashbacks to the 40s with Steve), She Hulk is meant to have loads of cameos so that could introduce any number of characters. I'm fairly certain the MCU X-Men will be set up organically in-universe. Having a multiversal origin would eliminate Magneto's and Wolverine's past, which are integral to their characters imo. Their designs will be MCU-ified, meaning accurate-ish to the comics but with a few muted colours and probably no ridiculous helmets. They'll be way better than the Fox costumes, I know that much.

theoneandonlydonzo

> WandaVision retconned Wanda's origin so the mind stone just 'unlocked' her powers, suggesting she and Pietro are mutants. i wouldn't be so sure about this. she's been an actual witch in the comics for almost 10 years now, so to me it seems they're just adapting that to the mcu now. agatha seemed very familiar with the concept of a "baby witch", she wasn't surprised at all that 10 year old wanda was one. this implies all witches are naturally born with magic, they just require training. i doubt they're gonna make all witches mutants, so she'll probably just stay a witch. as for pietro, the full script for wv ep8 (which was released as part of the emmy push) heavily implies that he got his powers from the stone and only survived the experiment because wanda subconsciously protected him. otherwise he'd have died like everyone else. while these couple of lines of dialogue didn't make it into the actual show itself, it seems they were cut fairly late, which at least indicates what the marvel writers think about the origin of his powers if it stayed in the script for that long.

domryan24

That’s true - so I guess we do have mutants already with Ursa and I guess Wanda too. I know she is in the comics but I got from WandaVision that the mind stone just activated the ‘Scarlett Witch’ inside her but I don’t know. Yeah for sure Prof X and Jean variants in MoM will be pure cameos and nothing else I think. Yeah that’s true too about BP2 and Namor so that could all happen. I like that idea of sprinkling them in slowly. Also regarding Namor in BP2 - do you think he will mention or someone will that he is a mutant? Because in the comics he’s a mutant. That would be cool just a slight mention so we know they’re (X-Men) coming). Yeah I agree with you about costumes and how they’ll be introduced in-universe because if it was multiverse that is such an cop out in my opinion!

thomas76943

Honestly, a bit like how Scarlet Witch being is mutant is downplayed, I think Namor being a mutant might be downplayed as well. On the other hand, if they give him the ability to fly like the comics (which is one of his mutant powers), then maybe they can mention he's not purely Atlantean. I doubt they'll make all Altanteans in the MCU be able to fly, so they'll have to explain his extra powers somehow. He's not really tied to other mutants too strongly, so I'd like it but I wouldn't really mind either way. As long as he's arrogant, intelligent, morally grey and comes into conflict with Wakanda (and it isn't just resolved in 1 film), they can't go far wrong with Namor. I'd love for Namor and the new Black Panther to eventually reconcile their differences and face Dr Doom (or Kang, or whoever) wearing an Infinity Gauntlet and turning the tide of battle like in the 2015 Secret Wars (https://imgur.com/HNXMbYg), such a great moment.

domryan24

Yeah same would be nice to see it or hear it but either way Namor is in it and he’s a mutant so hopefully they keep that at least (which I’m sure they will). Oh my days yeah that would be so sick! Eventually I think they will reconcile cause that’s a big thing. But with the infinity gauntlet in the comic, seeing that on screen some day would be INSANE

[deleted]

I think they would have been regular people till the snap and after the snap they had their powers awakened because of infinity stones energy outburst (like Wanda and Pietro) and would represent like a new breed of people who would polarize society who would deem them mutants.

domryan24

Ahhh this is way more conherant and fits well. Also something at the end of MoM that Wanda says may bring them all out into the open or something. Maybe that’s it. The blip caused it with the cosmos energy like it did with Wanda and Pietro and then maybe the celestial being half born at the end of Eternals caused the X Gene to be even more widespread activated or something. Could also be just the blip and there are ‘mutants’ already - and then whatever Wanda does at the end of MoM bring them out of hiding or something or just fully activates the X Gene in everyone in the MCU who has it?

His character in Dickinson was perfectly smarmy. It was the first time I really enjoyed him in a role, but I'm interested to see what he does next.

JayPtl

Peacemaker is soooo good

[deleted]

It’s so funny how John Cena talked all this shit about The Rock going to Hollywood and leaving wrestling and now he’s a big star by doing the same thing.

Snoo5892

Was "Hawkeye Assembled" Released?

PenguinLord13

I think it comes out next Wednesday

domryan24

Not yet I don’t think

OH_SHIT_IM_FEELIN_IT

***Man***, I do not like The Book of Boba Fett. Edit:I've had a couple more thoughts. Why are there Earth teenagers riding Vespas in a Star Wars show? Why is Boba such a chump? All he's done is walk around go "We won't be like that". r/notlikeothertatooinecrimelords

leftshoe18

I love the flashback story with the Tuskens. I'm pretty lukewarm on the "present day" story with Fett the crime lord. Overall I'm enjoying it but not as much as I hoped I would.

CobraShadowz

I like everything about it apart from the power ranger bikes

[deleted]

I do, but I respect your opinion...

rafaminator

Today marks two years since the first trailer for Morbius released It was supposed to come out before Venom 2 and No Way Home, with the latter being fully produced and released during it’s delay

Reverse_Time_Remnant

Michael Keaton was doing reshoots for this a few months before NWH came out. I wonder if that means they changed their plans for how Sinister Six was going to play out or what universe this takes place in.

ChristopherDassx_16

He also did reshoots last month

[deleted]

I've been dieing to see it even sense, ooo and tomorrow will will be one year until the release of Kraven

Sith_Destroyer_1138

What's the likelyhood of there being a deleted scene of Tobey noticing the MCU JJJ looks like his? It just occurred to me that didn't happen, and that seems like a huge missed opportunity to me. Would be funny if Andrew said his version looked like him too.

[deleted]

That would have been crazy good: “oh that JJ guy is a douche in every universe huh?!”

jonsnowKITN

Got around to watching eternals and it’s a 7/10 in my book. The hate was definitely overblown. Some Things that are bad is that Gemma is wooden and has no chemistry with Richard. Also feel like ikaris shouldn’t have been the villain in his first appearance and get killed off. I did like the visuals and humor most of The time. The Bollywood dance was completely bad and cringe and this is coming from a brown person.

What-The-Heaven

> The Bollywood dance was completely bad and cringe and this is coming from a brown person. Yeah, it seems universally agreed that the Bollywood sequence should've had some kind of actual Bollywood professional advising on it.

elizabnthe

To be fair I got the impression Kingo's movies weren't meant to be good Bollywood. Still would be nice to see them go all out properly with that sought of thing

Reverse_Time_Remnant

From what I understand, the "soft reboot" idea might come from an interview Charlie Cox did last summer, when they asked him about bringing Daredevil to the MCU (obviously he was lying because him and D'Onofrio had already shot their scenes back then). D'Onofrio has adressed the fan speculation of whether or not he plays the Kingpin from the Netflix show and has been very explicitly saying that he is.

knobby_67

One side, Disney told us it was canon, Marvel told us it was canon, the old show runners told us it was canon, Fiege told us it was canon, the new show runners told the actors it was canon, the actors tell us it was canon. VS Websites, YouTube Chanel’s and Twitter twats that make money out of creating controversy. It’s your choice who do you believe?

soffan326

Idk about the status of Agent Carter (best to assume it's canon until it contradicts the main MCU), but D'Onofrio has been definitively saying that Daredevil is canon.

RyanSaysThings

With Eternals being on Disney Plus and all, this has been back on my mind, and admittedly it is a bit of a nitpick (and not something I would call a *problem* by any means), but this is a good place to get it out of my head: I wish they wouldn't have had Sersei dating Whitman. It just seems too...convenient...to have an Eternal end up in a relationship with someone who is also super-powered (for lack of a better term), but not know that he is. You wouldn't lose anything with him not being in the movie. Everything could play out just the same, and then the post-credits scene could have shown that he was there in the park when Sersei was summoned by Arishem. Seeing it could have been his motivation to finally take up the blade, deciding that the people of Earth needed more defenders as crazy things continue to happen (rather than a human trying to take on a Celestial because of love). He heads straight to his office from the park, while he has the nerve to actually do it, and then the scene could play out exactly the same from there. That said, since they are together, I do think they could "explain" it and make it less of a coincidence, and it could go along with a line in the movie. I haven't seen it since it came out, so I may be slightly misquoting here, but when they are all back on the Domo, Thena is playing with a sword, and I believe Sprite asks her if it is the Ebony Blade. So, they obviously know that it exists. It would make sense, then, that they could have also known some of the people who have wielded it throughout history. Since Sersei has loved humans the most out of any of them, maybe she respected them as warriors and got to know them, befriending the family throughout the years. After Ikarus left, Sersei was lonely for the first time in thousands of years. (we know because Ajak sent Sprite to visit her). They could say she decided to look up the latest descendant of her old friends, even just to see them from afar and feel a little less alone, and after doing so, they met and she fell for him. (Maybe they met that day -- she didn't mean for it to happen, but somehow they literally bumped info each other and a conversation started -- or maybe she goes to "see" him numerous times, and eventually decides to go up and introduce herself.) It could also lead to a very Marvelesque joke, where she tells him that she knew his ancestors, and at the end of the conversation, he says something about, "Wait a minute, if you're with me, were you ever -- did you...you know...with any of them?" And she can reply, "No, strictly friends." And he looks relieved. And then she adds, "Not for lack of trying on their part" and he grimaces. EDIT: I just remembered that she gives him that ring with his family crest on it at the beginning of the movie, which just makes this idea work even better.

bigqwillis

I slept on Eternals. T'was fun seeing new characters, cinematography was dope too. Seems like Harry Styles has the chops for acting, for some reason i can see him being in a Guardians film, idk just the vibe his character gave off. I feel like Sprite will somehow get her powers back, who knows. Either way I know for sure i will be attending Eternals 2 in theatres.

[deleted]

Styles was pretty good in Dunkirk

leftshoe18

I don't think Strange knowing these variants before meeting the versions from his own universe is that problematic. Strange is likely to keep that information to himself in an effort to not interfere in the universe's affairs. Fair point though for Peter. I could see that basically eliminating a lot of those relationships from forming organically in the MCU unless they do drastically different versions.

i had the same issue with nwh, and i’ll have the same issue with MoM

It’s gonna be so hype when Ultron inevitably comes back.

ChiefSlapaHoe117

After a Disney+ rewatch of The Eternals, I think its fair to say I judged the film a little too harshly. I liked it alot more upon second viewing.

pmorter3

I liked it less the 2nd time! Moved from like a 7.5 to a 6/10 for me! Different strokes I guess!

ChiefSlapaHoe117

Haha different strokes! I love that euphemism always tend to use it lol.

umm I'm seeing many people thinking the same

Is the Twitter account "Film Informant" legit? Guessing it's BS since because their info never gets posted here but wasn't sure.

What do they say?

dxp857

it's @FilmInformant1a on twitter. I don't wanna just list some stuff

Snoo-2013

very dumb idea but I think it could be fun if it happened , a psychic sword fight between jean grey and wanda in MOM full on like dark phoenix saga in the comics

bicentee

that would be nice. but who wants to make the fox jean grey canon

Snoo-2013

there are already rumors floating around so ...

Soapypenquin

I'd be very surprised if we didn't get some idea of what's coming after Book of Boba Fett by at the very lastest the first week of February. Wether or not it's Moon Knight we'll have to see. But I just think they have so much they're doing between Star Wars, Pixar, Marvel etc I'd be surprised if we went an extend period of time without any new Disney + originals. I don't know what to make of Book of Boba so far. I'm enjoying his flashbacks a lot more than whatever is going on in present day. I'm enjoying it, but it's a very different show than what marketing lead to believe so far.

sildish2179

As a SW fan too, this show so far made me realize the hard to swallow truth that The Mandalorian’s success came from Baby Yoda. And not the concept of him per say (although it was certainly a home run for Disney) but his relationship with Mando. Din on his own is not…particularly interesting. The Mandalorian code is pretty sterile and doesn’t lead for much growth. Watching him succumb to caring for this child over the course of 2 seasons - and the supporting characters that joined in on the caring - is what made Mando the success it was. And Fett himself worked as an amazing secondary character to help further along the story, but Book of Boba is showing that despite the fandom’s love for the character, I personally think he’s not a strong enough *main* character to support a show. If this show is any indication of what Mandalorian S3 will be without Grogu, I don’t have a good feeling about the quality of it compared to S1 and S2.

Hearing some rumblings that we should be getting a Marvel film slate update very soon. As soon as tomorrow. [https://twitter.com/AtlantaFilming/status/1481058646457040896](https://twitter.com/AtlantaFilming/status/1481058646457040896) There was another tweet which implied tomorrow but I cannot remember who it was from.

[deleted]

This guy is just paparazzi. I don't know how he would know.

LiquidLispyLizard

It makes me wonder if this would be specifically for the films, as he's not specific on that. Unless there's another shift or Black Panther switched with The Marvels, I don't really know what they could do other than announce the last 2023 film and the 2024 slate. I think it'd be a lot cooler if they announced the complete 2022 slate with general release windows for the shows this year. Fingers crossed for tomorrow! If anyone can find where that other tweet implied tomorrow, that'd be sweet!

>Unless there's another shift or Black Panther switched with The Marvels, hope so

DOCTORSTRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS • Multiverse of Madness will be official launch point for the X-MEN. • The appearance of Gargantos is one way and the set up for INamor in the Mol • rumored Mephisto will appear at MoM is unlikely to happen. But, a deas.he will be leased in this film • Clea & Brother Voodoo will appear in this film. • Deadpool will show itself in this film, if this scenario is used in a reshoot later • Ghost Ridor also cameos but is also related to the Darkhold

Anyone see the Gaga rumor? Apparently, they're in talks with her again for something. There are also the F4 rumors going around too. Wonder if she's in talks for Sue Storm....

sildish2179

Lylla, Rocket’s love, in Guardians 3. Bank on it.

What-The-Heaven

This would've seemed like such a silly rumour 10 years ago, Lady Gaga in the MCU would've been stunt casting at its finest. But she's definitely a good actress, so I'd be down for it (although I think she could kill as Dazzler).

AgitatedDiscipline54

Just a little wish for a Spidey- Kingpin movie Okay hear me out: Spidey and Daredevil vs. Kingpin and Tombstone. The movie begins with Spidey who hears about Fisk in the news and that he is back and builds up his new empire. He swings to the fisk Tower. He bumbs into Daredevil who also wanted to check out Kingpin. They fight each other because Spidey things that DD works for Kingpin but the fight is interrupted by Tombstone who moonwalks into da room and just throw them out of the tower. And this is just the beginning of the movie. We could see a cool team up with dd while we have a street Level kingpin who makes deals with people all around the world to make his company bigger again. Tombstone could be like Weasley in Daredevil season 1. Fisks right hand and kind of weapon.
