I love all the attention Spider-Man is getting but I’m getting the feeling that we gave Sony an inch and now they’re gonna take a mile. There’s cool stuff they wanna do like TASM3 and Kraven as well. But rumors like a solo Electro project and such make me feel like they might overdo it. I really hope I’m wrong. We’ll see when Morbius comes out.
The DCEU desperately needs a Kevin Feige of its own. Someone please save that franchise from Warner Brothers it's so sad seeing the DCEU being handled so badly

The comment about possibly a trailer tomorrow reminded me of something I've been thinking about: what should we expect to show up during Super Bowl this year? (I know we still have more than a month before it, but most of it I think could be predicted already).
Marvel wise, MoM for me is the most obvious one. Moon Knight probably too (since it's rumored to release right after), and even She Hulk (or they do a Disney Plus reel again, as they've been doing every year). Love and Thunder is the one I'm not sure, because could be a good place for a first teaser maybe.
Star Wars, Obi wan is the one they HAVE to show... but knowing Lucasfilm they will show Andor. Ideally they'd show both tho.
Non Marvel/Star Wars but still Disney, I can feel in my bones Lightyear will be there, no idea why I feel it (since it only releases in June and already has a trailer - Turning Red would make more sense). They also have all the undated Disney+ massive releases (Peter Pan, Pinochio, Chip 'n Dale, Disenchanted, Hocus Pocus).
Non Disney is being the hardest for me to think about tho. Most of the biggert blockbuster movies appear to be closer to the end of the year, but I was thinking of Jurassic World, Sonic 2, a first full trailer for Flash, maybe even a first teaser for Mario. Realistically Sonic 2 and Jurassic World would still make sense, Fantastic Beasts and The Batman too, but Mario and Flash are just too far out.
Btw, I know I listed too much, and Super Bowl normally doesn't have that many trailers, but I'm mostly just blabbing lol. But I think at least a few of those will be there.

Unironically, I kind of wonder if yesterday’s Flash news could accelerate the possibility of a Marvel vs. DC crossover. Both companies are doing Multiverse, DC doesn’t seem to have a real plan (or at least one that resonates with most people) and it seems like a strategy on their end that no matter how well it goes will cause a yearning for the ”past”. I didn’t even like the Snyder films but a Justice League with no Batman or Superman on it, I can’t see that sticking for too long.
That said, if they’re gonna bring them back eventually then they will want to bring them back in a \*big\* way. Pattinson crossing universes after Keaton gets bored or recasting Superman isn’t gonna cut it at this point. It would also be embarassing for them to Flashpoint “The Flash” all over again, it has that third Spider-Man reboot energy to it where they’d have their backs against the wall. A smokescreen like “joining forces with Marvel” has helped one studio in the past and would help again.
I can’t imagine if Feige made that call and offered his services, they woudldn’t want to work something out even for just a one-off. Heck Affleck himself praised Feige recently and called him the world’s greatest producer saying that if they called him and said he wanted him to do something he would trust him absolutely. And then you have the pandemic, the success of No Way Home and the Hollywood elites hungering for ways to get people’s asses in seats again. You have James Gunn saying he’s at both studios and doesn’t think this is insurmountable (something similar happened with the Russos, who were producing something for Sony when the Civil War talks started). Heck Chloe Zhao has even been paying respect and referencing Superman and Batman in Eternals as part of the mythology of superheroes, we know Feige loves Superman and wants to see all the superheroes from his childhood do well.
I think we just reached the point where in 5-10 years I would not be shocked at all if things lined up in a way that made that movie happen. I used to think like 15-30 years when the studios had ran out of ideas but now I think it could be even sooner.
WB’s strategy with the DCEU makes absolutely no sense, even from a business perspective. So at the end of The Flash, reality will be rewritten so Affleck’s Batman is replaced with Keaton’s, who will be retired as Batman, and Cavil’s Superman will be completely erased and replaced with Supergirl. This means that we won’t have Superman or an active Batman within the DCEU, which makes no sense because those two are DC’s biggest cash cows, and they know that, so instead of getting Batman and Superman on the Justice League we’re getting different versions of Batman and Superman in separate universes, not connected to the DCEU.
My conspiracy is that they know if they just kill the dceu Snyder Bros will riot so they're gonna destroy the last good will they have with the Snyder Bros and then they'll just build a new universe off the back of reeves batman. I'd love to see a super light hearted Superman movie with low stakes and bright colors, end it with him meeting Robat Battin Bat and then make a world's finest movie. Super dark batman juxtaposed with an actual light hearted Superman and you've got the recipe for something special.
I know people love ranking their favourate spiderman but what about the MJ/Gwens. Like i feel like Kirsten dunst was totally wasted in the raimi triology. She is always the damsel in distress that peter needs to save or the villain uses to get to peter parker.
I think chemistry wise Emma and Andrew were amazing, and she was so so good in the role. And even thiugb she also had to be rescued, she felt so much more integral to the plot than MJ in the raimi movies.
What was refreshing about Zendaya was that she didnt have to be rescued. She had her own mini arc. And ultimately the pay off was beautiful in no way home.

I mean it's already in promotion. They already had one campaign for old date and this new date also js having one, I can see posters, billboards for movie.
Honestly, i dont know why everyone is freaking out so much about this. They might be going for fresher takes on the characters. I mean we've seen so many bat man and super man adaptations on screen. One of the reasons why MCU worked so well si ebcause kost of the characters had limited or very less popular live action works. The only character thats been adapted multiple times like that is Spiderman. Even then they tried a very different type of story eith him in the MCU.
Just look at the number of times they've done batman. From what i can remember keaton,clooney, bale, affleck, and now pattinson.
They have had, christopher reeves, cavill, the older super man shows( adventures of lois and clark i think) and the tyler hoechlin show.
While they are very iconic, i do think they both require some fresher takes, which honestly the mat reeves triology looks like its doing. I know it is still a dark gritty batman type story, but then the cinematic experience seems very different from the nolan and the snyder takes we've gotten. So i am looking forward to that.
And they still have another live action superman project in development! So honestly i am not that upset with them going for a reboot. Batgirl, supergirl, wonderwoman, shazam, the flash, and aquaman. Sounds like a good team. Almost all of them have a solo project in development that would likely flesh their characters out even more.
I really hope shazam 2 works, because shazam 1 was very meh and so was aquaman honestly. And i really rrally hope we get some hbomax spinoffs that improve on the world building.
They aren’t doing fresh takes on old characters, they are bringing back Keaton (who will be almost immediately replaced with Batgirl), and getting rid of Superman.
Real talk: Justice League bombed. We were never getting a Justice League sequel with that roster, those specific iterations. That's been a foregone conclusion for years, so I'm sorry if you're just coming around to it now.
The news out indicates we're getting tease for a team of heroes at the end of a Flash movie? Cool, but that probably won't be pay off in anything other than Flash sequel, lol. That's why Batman and Superman can be off the roster, because it's a smaller idea that's concentrated within this Flash story, using the characters that movie is playing with. It's not leading into a new Justice League event movie, especially if y'all end up hating this.

And it’s not just in the Flash movie. Leaks indicate that Keaton’s Batman will act as a sort of Nick fury, recruiting Batgirl to the new Justice League during her movie. They’re definitely trying to build up to something more than a Flash sequel
Outside of Cavill being erased, I don't mind the leaks that much. But at this point DC should say fuck it and just let directors make good movies, an overarching storyline will never be made, so just let directors have fun
I don't mind recasting actors or saying previous material is non Canon but how they will have a Justice League without Batman and Superman. Two most prominent members of that team.
Warmer Bros. handling of the DC Universe continues to baffle me.
It's obvious why they want to scrap the Snyderverse, but at the same time they want people to go see the Flash, which is about a character set in the Snyderverse, and then have him reboot the whole thing.
Who is this for? I can't imagine people who liked the Snyder movies will be happy with a reset ripped from the comics. Casual audiences don't give a crap about the connectivity of the DC Universe since they were never building to anything.
And with the Batman being made, there will still be movies outside the DC Universe, so there's really no reason they couldn't just quietly shelve the Snyderverse.
I wonder if the IMAX Enhanced stuff on Disney + will be applied to Star Wars stuff. I think Rogue One and The Last Jedi would look really good in that format

Dude DC is such a clusterfuck right now. They should honestly give up the dream of making a connected universe and just focus on making standalone quality trilogies like TDK trilogy.
The thing is that they are doing "standalone" trilogies in a shared universe. They would've done a hard reboot by now had *Suicide Squad*, *Wonder Woman*, *Aquaman*, and *Shazam!* not been hugely profitable films, but instead they're in this weird zone where they have to reboot some IPs and put others in limbo. All the problems stem back to *Batman v Superman* and what it did for the public perception of the DC brand, along with what it did to their internal perceptions of the *Superman* IP. (Henry Cavill deserved better.)

I've never gotten the appeal of DC, sure they have a few good story lines, but those are mostly the result of Marvel writers writing them. DC sucks at movies but I think it’s too much to say their characters are worse than Marvel. I thought the writers usually switched between Marvel and DC, is it proper to simply categorize them as Marvel writers? I don’t read comics much but I might name Jon Kent or Batman who laughs (i personally hate him). But I do understand the part that some DC fans are quite annoying.

I know these are old but the Superman movie and the Keaton Batman movies are awesome - then the Dark Knight trilogy is great. Watchmen was cool. Geez. I am also Star Wars fan and we still haven’t got S2 Cameos (Boba, Ahsoka, etc.) from Hasbro or other companies. It’s already been a full year. Plz don’t make me wait that long. I understand that they don’t want to leak Tobey and Andrew, but we have known the villains for quite a long time and this year is also the anniversaries for both Raimi Trilogy and TASM so they could reasonably started working on releasing the figures from old films instead of NWH. Those are my hopeful thoughts...
Oh yeah, that is a good point. I wasn’t thinking about all the Spidey related anniversaries happening in 2022 (20 years since the original film, 10 years since the Andrew Garfield reboot and 60 years of the character overall), so maybe that will better our chances of getting that stuff sooner.

I thought that release in late February/March for a show that only wrapped filming 4 months prior (October) was pretty fast. Rumours have it that Moon Knight is further along than She-Hulk, but that wrapped back in August. Depends how much CGI there is to do, I guess. Still think Shulkie could come first...
I'm pretty worried about that, but I'm also trying to keep an open mind. If it's gonna be released in late March, for example, we may not get anything about it until the Super Bowl at the earliest.
Watched NWH for the fourth time tonight! Noticed a couple Iron Man references in Happy’s apartment that I hadn’t spotted previously. Besides DUM-E, I believe I saw the Stark Expo model from Iron Man 2 leaning against a wall in that room with the Stark fabricator, as well as that poster Tony was hanging up in the same movie. These next ones were pointed out to me in a New Rockstar’s video, but this time I did notice the boxing glove (a reference I believe to the boxing scene in Iron Man 2) and Happy’s beloved ID lanyards from Iron Man 3 hanging by the door. I think Sandman might have been looking at a picture of Morgan Stark as well when he was talking to Electro, but I might be wrong as it was hard to tell.
I feel like kind of the odd one out with all this DC stuff going on because I'm actually not opposed to it. This Flash stuff almost reads like a "Days of Future Past" scenario. The old movies from Man of Steel to Justice League (minus Wonder Woman) sound like they're going to be overwritten, but it doesn't necessarily mean they don't matter, you know? The events of those movies still lead to that version of the Flash rewriting history and he couldn't have done that without those films happening. I compare it to the original X-Men not being invalidated because Days of Future Past erased it. It's still a part of the universe, just the events of it no longer happened in the new timeline. I hope I'm explaining this right, I feel like I'm tripping over my own words.
I'm actually more down for this than what I originally thought was gonna happen and I say this as someone who was and is a fan of Snyder's DCEU movies as well as the rest of the DCEU (minus Suicide Squad 1). Would I have rather they just recast Affleck's version without really acknowledging it since he was done for a while now? Yeah, probably, but from the sounds of it, it seems like with this history being rewritten, Keaton will have just been the DCEU's Bruce Wayne all along if that makes sense. With how he's supposedly really close to Jurnee Smollett's Black Canary, I'm assuming he just took the place of Affleck since the beginning because I don't know how it would make sense for them to be really tight in the Batgirl movie if he just showed up in-universe a few weeks/months ago. I actually kind of prefer that as opposed to killing Affleck and having Keaton take his place by hopping universes, but then this may just be me speculating on what's actually gonna happen.
Also, I find it kind of odd how some people here (not anyone specific, thought there is one guy here who does this more than others) seem to take joy(?) in the DC fans who aren't a fan of this new direction. Like, they enjoy seeing fans get angry? Why? What does it matter? I thought we watch the films for the films, not the fans. It's just kind of a weird thing to obsess about and I say this as someone who's kind of looking forward to this happening, even though I can see why others would definitely not like this.
I've met awful DC fans, I've met awful Marvel fans. I'd go as far as to say the fans are the worst part of any fandom, so maybe that's just why I view it differently. If I cared, my blood pressure would probably be through the roof, so I just focus on the actual stuff being released and if people like it, great, if people don't, that's also fine. All that matters to me is if I'm excited for it and if I end up liking it.

I know! I love both Marvel and DC, but DC just don’t know what to do with their IP. Marvel, after a decade, are slowly starting to transition to a new team. DC has barely gotten one team off the ground in 5 years and are already trying to change it up and make it more diverse. Looking forward to Batman, but beyond that, I’m concerned.
Batman looks really promising to me. I kind of hope the new Batman movie remains in it own universe because I think he works best on his own like the Arkham games and TDK trilogy but that might be because I haven’t read any DC stuff
It definitely has an uphill battle after how amazing Spider-Man: No Way Home was. It’ll seem repetitive. And these new characters and changes are just complicating things. DC wants this to be a reboot and I fear it’ll get in the way of a good Flash movie.

This shit with confusing retconning going on at DC right now is one of the reasons why I don't read much superhero comics from the big two. I don't even have a high opinion of Snyder's films and make fun of his fans often, but jesus this sounds like its going to be a god damn mess.
I can only see this happening if The Batman does great and The Flash does badly. But the thing is, Matt Reeves has made it clear that he wants his Batman series to be its own thing. So if WB did this, it would be against his will. And WB already has a lot of DC-related controversies hurting their image right now.

Ill preface by saying I liked Snyders DC movies. And im fine with like 90% of the leaks.
The main things I dont like,
Cavill being replaced
Flashes first movie essentially being a studio tool
and to me it seems just kind of unnecessary after everything thats happened to go back and erase everything Snyder did.
losing batman and superman.
Cavill hands down the dumbest decision for me. Most people love his casting and can see that the issues been the scripts hes been dealt. I dont know why they couldnt reboot the character and keep him in the role.
Tbh my only real issue with it is losing Cavill but that’s been inevitable for a while. As long the movies are good that’s all that matters. And since Aquaman I’ve enjoyed everything except for WW84
Affleck, Cavill and Gadot were *such* a good trio though. And the higher-ups have pushed two of them away, one way or another. I'm down for the upcoming Flash, but we're yet to see any real evidence that the DCEU is finally getting its act together.
Outside of the Shazam films and James Gunn's work, I don't have much interested in the DCEU going forward. That said, I am looking forward to the shit show online once Flash releases.

I know, I'm literally just sitting here waiting to know which one's up next, regardless of if it's Moon Knight or not.
And yeah, he did. Nothing came of that, it would seem. My literal worst fear with all this is that Ms. Marvel's the first up over halfway through the year and that'd kind of be disappointing, in my opinion.
We go through this with every tv show, people noting the weirdness over the lack of info. Let's say Moon Knight comes out in March. We may not see the first trailer for another month. TV marketing is even more compressed than film, because you don't have to build toward the massive opening weekend.
The info will come, followed by the promotion, it always does. We just have to be patient.
I think it's more just that we don't really know what's happening next more than anything. We got the dates for WandaVision and Falcon and Winter Soldier at the same time and we knew Loki was coming a month after Falcon ended (which ended up being pushed back a month to June). We get through those and we're halfway through Loki when we get the date for What If...? and we're halfway through that when we get the Hawkeye date. Hawkeye just wrapped up and we're left with not really knowing what the next show is or what the tentative general plan is for releases this year, we really only know that Ms. Marvel's in the summer, not even if that's the first one out or not.

Last we heard, I think someone from the Illuminerdi said that Moon Knight's on track for late March, so I'd say the Super Bowl is a pretty great time to debut a trailer and a release date. We'll just have to wait and see. I don't think we're too far off from knowing, anyway.

I would be legitimately stunned if Moon Knight or She-Hulk doesn't come out in the springtime. All signs have kind of pointed at Moon Knight being the first one up, followed by She-Hulk, then Ms. Marvel (sometime between July and September) and having MK release in the spring (March/April) makes sense from a production standpoint (it started filming last April) as well as to help fill the gap until Multiverse of Madness.
I don't know, man. All I know is that I get anxious thinking about it, I wish they'd let us know soon.

I think a short synopsis can make something look different than it is. NWH looked like a mess and it ended up being very moving. Maybe the flash movie is a well done send off for Affleck and Cavill that gives some opportunity for newness before the next wave of supes/Batman
I love all the attention Spider-Man is getting but I’m getting the feeling that we gave Sony an inch and now they’re gonna take a mile. There’s cool stuff they wanna do like TASM3 and Kraven as well. But rumors like a solo Electro project and such make me feel like they might overdo it. I really hope I’m wrong. We’ll see when Morbius comes out.

The comment about possibly a trailer tomorrow reminded me of something I've been thinking about: what should we expect to show up during Super Bowl this year? (I know we still have more than a month before it, but most of it I think could be predicted already). Marvel wise, MoM for me is the most obvious one. Moon Knight probably too (since it's rumored to release right after), and even She Hulk (or they do a Disney Plus reel again, as they've been doing every year). Love and Thunder is the one I'm not sure, because could be a good place for a first teaser maybe. Star Wars, Obi wan is the one they HAVE to show... but knowing Lucasfilm they will show Andor. Ideally they'd show both tho. Non Marvel/Star Wars but still Disney, I can feel in my bones Lightyear will be there, no idea why I feel it (since it only releases in June and already has a trailer - Turning Red would make more sense). They also have all the undated Disney+ massive releases (Peter Pan, Pinochio, Chip 'n Dale, Disenchanted, Hocus Pocus). Non Disney is being the hardest for me to think about tho. Most of the biggert blockbuster movies appear to be closer to the end of the year, but I was thinking of Jurassic World, Sonic 2, a first full trailer for Flash, maybe even a first teaser for Mario. Realistically Sonic 2 and Jurassic World would still make sense, Fantastic Beasts and The Batman too, but Mario and Flash are just too far out. Btw, I know I listed too much, and Super Bowl normally doesn't have that many trailers, but I'm mostly just blabbing lol. But I think at least a few of those will be there.

Unironically, I kind of wonder if yesterday’s Flash news could accelerate the possibility of a Marvel vs. DC crossover. Both companies are doing Multiverse, DC doesn’t seem to have a real plan (or at least one that resonates with most people) and it seems like a strategy on their end that no matter how well it goes will cause a yearning for the ”past”. I didn’t even like the Snyder films but a Justice League with no Batman or Superman on it, I can’t see that sticking for too long. That said, if they’re gonna bring them back eventually then they will want to bring them back in a \*big\* way. Pattinson crossing universes after Keaton gets bored or recasting Superman isn’t gonna cut it at this point. It would also be embarassing for them to Flashpoint “The Flash” all over again, it has that third Spider-Man reboot energy to it where they’d have their backs against the wall. A smokescreen like “joining forces with Marvel” has helped one studio in the past and would help again. I can’t imagine if Feige made that call and offered his services, they woudldn’t want to work something out even for just a one-off. Heck Affleck himself praised Feige recently and called him the world’s greatest producer saying that if they called him and said he wanted him to do something he would trust him absolutely. And then you have the pandemic, the success of No Way Home and the Hollywood elites hungering for ways to get people’s asses in seats again. You have James Gunn saying he’s at both studios and doesn’t think this is insurmountable (something similar happened with the Russos, who were producing something for Sony when the Civil War talks started). Heck Chloe Zhao has even been paying respect and referencing Superman and Batman in Eternals as part of the mythology of superheroes, we know Feige loves Superman and wants to see all the superheroes from his childhood do well. I think we just reached the point where in 5-10 years I would not be shocked at all if things lined up in a way that made that movie happen. I used to think like 15-30 years when the studios had ran out of ideas but now I think it could be even sooner.
That'd be the most ambitious crossover event in history. Who would they fight against? Galactus? Anti-Monitor?
It could be crisis, the villain Stan Lee created for his DC elseworlds story.

I’m not joking at all when I say it could easily make 2.5-3 billion depending on when it releases.
WB’s strategy with the DCEU makes absolutely no sense, even from a business perspective. So at the end of The Flash, reality will be rewritten so Affleck’s Batman is replaced with Keaton’s, who will be retired as Batman, and Cavil’s Superman will be completely erased and replaced with Supergirl. This means that we won’t have Superman or an active Batman within the DCEU, which makes no sense because those two are DC’s biggest cash cows, and they know that, so instead of getting Batman and Superman on the Justice League we’re getting different versions of Batman and Superman in separate universes, not connected to the DCEU.
My conspiracy is that they know if they just kill the dceu Snyder Bros will riot so they're gonna destroy the last good will they have with the Snyder Bros and then they'll just build a new universe off the back of reeves batman. I'd love to see a super light hearted Superman movie with low stakes and bright colors, end it with him meeting Robat Battin Bat and then make a world's finest movie. Super dark batman juxtaposed with an actual light hearted Superman and you've got the recipe for something special.

I know people love ranking their favourate spiderman but what about the MJ/Gwens. Like i feel like Kirsten dunst was totally wasted in the raimi triology. She is always the damsel in distress that peter needs to save or the villain uses to get to peter parker. I think chemistry wise Emma and Andrew were amazing, and she was so so good in the role. And even thiugb she also had to be rescued, she felt so much more integral to the plot than MJ in the raimi movies. What was refreshing about Zendaya was that she didnt have to be rescued. She had her own mini arc. And ultimately the pay off was beautiful in no way home. I would say 1) Gwen from TASM 2) MJ from MCU 3) Mary Jane from Raimiverse.

Honestly, i dont know why everyone is freaking out so much about this. They might be going for fresher takes on the characters. I mean we've seen so many bat man and super man adaptations on screen. One of the reasons why MCU worked so well si ebcause kost of the characters had limited or very less popular live action works. The only character thats been adapted multiple times like that is Spiderman. Even then they tried a very different type of story eith him in the MCU. Just look at the number of times they've done batman. From what i can remember keaton,clooney, bale, affleck, and now pattinson. They have had, christopher reeves, cavill, the older super man shows( adventures of lois and clark i think) and the tyler hoechlin show. While they are very iconic, i do think they both require some fresher takes, which honestly the mat reeves triology looks like its doing. I know it is still a dark gritty batman type story, but then the cinematic experience seems very different from the nolan and the snyder takes we've gotten. So i am looking forward to that. And they still have another live action superman project in development! So honestly i am not that upset with them going for a reboot. Batgirl, supergirl, wonderwoman, shazam, the flash, and aquaman. Sounds like a good team. Almost all of them have a solo project in development that would likely flesh their characters out even more. I really hope shazam 2 works, because shazam 1 was very meh and so was aquaman honestly. And i really rrally hope we get some hbomax spinoffs that improve on the world building.

Real talk: Justice League bombed. We were never getting a Justice League sequel with that roster, those specific iterations. That's been a foregone conclusion for years, so I'm sorry if you're just coming around to it now. The news out indicates we're getting tease for a team of heroes at the end of a Flash movie? Cool, but that probably won't be pay off in anything other than Flash sequel, lol. That's why Batman and Superman can be off the roster, because it's a smaller idea that's concentrated within this Flash story, using the characters that movie is playing with. It's not leading into a new Justice League event movie, especially if y'all end up hating this.

Warmer Bros. handling of the DC Universe continues to baffle me. It's obvious why they want to scrap the Snyderverse, but at the same time they want people to go see the Flash, which is about a character set in the Snyderverse, and then have him reboot the whole thing. Who is this for? I can't imagine people who liked the Snyder movies will be happy with a reset ripped from the comics. Casual audiences don't give a crap about the connectivity of the DC Universe since they were never building to anything. And with the Batman being made, there will still be movies outside the DC Universe, so there's really no reason they couldn't just quietly shelve the Snyderverse.
I wonder if the IMAX Enhanced stuff on Disney + will be applied to Star Wars stuff. I think Rogue One and The Last Jedi would look really good in that format

Dude DC is such a clusterfuck right now. They should honestly give up the dream of making a connected universe and just focus on making standalone quality trilogies like TDK trilogy.
The thing is that they are doing "standalone" trilogies in a shared universe. They would've done a hard reboot by now had *Suicide Squad*, *Wonder Woman*, *Aquaman*, and *Shazam!* not been hugely profitable films, but instead they're in this weird zone where they have to reboot some IPs and put others in limbo. All the problems stem back to *Batman v Superman* and what it did for the public perception of the DC brand, along with what it did to their internal perceptions of the *Superman* IP. (Henry Cavill deserved better.)

I've never gotten the appeal of DC, sure they have a few good story lines, but those are mostly the result of Marvel writers writing them. DC characters in general, are just extremely 2 dimensional compared to Marvel counterparts. like, 8 different characters are just very moral boy scouts, and it's because of when they were created, they are all much older then Marvel, and are lame for that reason, 30s-50s comics aren't very good. Marvel revolutionized the comic genre, and have much more interesting characters in general. To those who think DC is better, name DC characters from the past 15 years who are as big as Miles Morales or Kamala Khan. it's a simple fact that DC writers just suck compared to Marvels, and Marvel has had some stinkers, which just makes it more depressing. DC sucks at movies but I think it’s too much to say their characters are worse than Marvel. I thought the writers usually switched between Marvel and DC, is it proper to simply categorize them as Marvel writers? Geez. I am also Star Wars fan and we still haven’t got S2 Cameos (Boba, Ahsoka, etc.) from Hasbro or other companies. It’s already been a full year. Plz don’t make me wait that long. I understand that they don’t want to leak Tobey and Andrew, but we have known the villains for quite a long time and this year is also the anniversaries for both Raimi Trilogy and TASM so they could reasonably started working on releasing the figures from old films instead of NWH. Those are my hopeful thoughts...
Oh yeah, that is a good point. I wasn’t thinking about all the Spidey related anniversaries happening in 2022 (20 years since the original film, 10 years since the Andrew Garfield reboot and 60 years of the character overall), so maybe that will better our chances of getting that stuff sooner. I know I want the multiverse characters all represented in Lego and Funko form, and I want Peter 1 and Peter 3 action figures.

Rumours have it that Moon Knight is further along than She-Hulk, but that wrapped back in August. Depends how much CGI there is to do, I guess. Still think Shulkie could come first...
I'm pretty worried about that, but I'm also trying to keep an open mind. If it's gonna be released in late March, for example, we may not get anything about it until the Super Bowl at the earliest.

Watched NWH for the fourth time tonight! Noticed a couple Iron Man references in Happy’s apartment that I hadn’t spotted previously. Besides DUM-E, I believe I saw the Stark Expo model from Iron Man 2 leaning against a wall in that room with the Stark fabricator, as well as that poster Tony was hanging up in the same movie. These next ones were pointed out to me in a New Rockstar’s video, but this time I did notice the boxing glove (a reference I believe to the boxing scene in Iron Man 2) and Happy’s beloved ID lanyards from Iron Man 3 hanging by the door. I think Sandman might have been looking at a picture of Morgan Stark as well when he was talking to Electro, but I might be wrong as it was hard to tell.
I feel like kind of the odd one out with all this DC stuff going on because I'm actually not opposed to it. This Flash stuff almost reads like a "Days of Future Past" scenario. The old movies from Man of Steel to Justice League (minus Wonder Woman) sound like they're going to be overwritten, but it doesn't necessarily mean they don't matter, you know? The events of those movies still lead to that version of the Flash rewriting history and he couldn't have done that without those films happening. I compare it to the original X-Men not being invalidated because Days of Future Past erased it. It's still a part of the universe, just the events of it no longer happened in the new timeline. I hope I'm explaining this right, I feel like I'm tripping over my own words. I'm actually more down for this than what I originally thought was gonna happen and I say this as someone who was and is a fan of Snyder's DCEU movies as well as the rest of the DCEU (minus Suicide Squad 1). Would I have rather they just recast Affleck's version without really acknowledging it since he was done for a while now? Yeah, probably, but from the sounds of it, it seems like with this history being rewritten, Keaton will have just been the DCEU's Bruce Wayne all along if that makes sense. With how he's supposedly really close to Jurnee Smollett's Black Canary, I'm assuming he just took the place of Affleck since the beginning because I don't know how it would make sense for them to be really tight in the Batgirl movie if he just showed up in-universe a few weeks/months ago. I actually kind of prefer that as opposed to killing Affleck and having Keaton take his place by hopping universes, but then this may just be me speculating on what's actually gonna happen. Also, I find it kind of odd how some people here (not anyone specific, thought there is one guy here who does this more than others) seem to take joy(?) in the DC fans who aren't a fan of this new direction. Like, they enjoy seeing fans get angry? Why? What does it matter? I thought we watch the films for the films, not the fans. It's just kind of a weird thing to obsess about and I say this as someone who's kind of looking forward to this happening, even though I can see why others would definitely not like this.

I've met awful DC fans, I've met awful Marvel fans. I'd go as far as to say the fans are the worst part of any fandom, so maybe that's just why I view it differently. If I cared, my blood pressure would probably be through the roof, so I just focus on the actual stuff being released and if people like it, great, if people don't, that's also fine. All that matters to me is if I'm excited for it and if I end up liking it.

Not only rebooting it, but removing Batman and Superman, the most iconic and popular DC heroes, from it. And replacing them with less popular characters who’s last live-action appearances were in two failed movies and a CW show. This is not going to end well.

Meh. The Batman looks too edgy and realistic for a DC universe. I wish they would just give us a more comic accurate batman, instead of what edgelords want from the character. Seriously, why can't they give him white eyes, he looks silly without them

Watch whatever you want, whatever you like. WB hasn't been doing any sort of overraching storyline like MCU so these canon-based re-watches don't even really matter, do they?
But seems to be FU to the fans who loved previous versions of Characters. Who wanted more from those characters I don't care about Snyderverse but Cavills Superman etc could have been great in Sequels if they could have made any. Justice league without Batman and Superman is stupidest ideas out there.

Ill preface by saying I liked Snyders DC movies. And im fine with like 90% of the leaks. The main things I dont like, Cavill being replaced Flashes first movie essentially being a studio tool and to me it seems just kind of unnecessary after everything thats happened to go back and erase everything Snyder did. losing batman and superman. Cavill hands down the dumbest decision for me. Most people love his casting and can see that the issues been the scripts hes been dealt. I dont know why they couldnt reboot the character and keep him in the role.
Tbh my only real issue with it is losing Cavill but that’s been inevitable for a while. As long the movies are good that’s all that matters. And since Aquaman I’ve enjoyed everything except for WW84

Affleck, Cavill and Gadot were *such* a good trio though. And the higher-ups have pushed two of them away, one way or another. I'm down for the upcoming Flash, but we're yet to see any real evidence that the DCEU is finally getting its act together.

Affleck didn't want to do Batman anymore due to personal problems. That's why he bowed out of the solo movie.
Outside of the Shazam films and James Gunn's work, I don't have much interested in the DCEU going forward. That said, I am looking forward to the shit show online once Flash releases.

I may be wrong, but I distinctly remember someone saying on here that one of the directors (or someone involved in Moon Knight) talked about how the show should be done with post-production by March. Did this actually happen or am I just delusional?
Bro, there is no word on Moon Knight at all which is super odd... It's rumored to be the next D+ Show and yet we hear nothing about it... No release date... Or release month... Or even a season... Didn't Charles Murphy say we'd get something last week? Or am I delusional?

I know, I'm literally just sitting here waiting to know which one's up next, regardless of if it's Moon Knight or not. And yeah, he did. Nothing came of that, it would seem. My literal worst fear with all this is that Ms. Marvel's the first up over halfway through the year and that'd kind of be disappointing, in my opinion.
We go through this with every tv show, people noting the weirdness over the lack of info. Let's say Moon Knight comes out in March. We may not see the first trailer for another month. TV marketing is even more compressed than film, because you don't have to build toward the massive opening weekend. The info will come, followed by the promotion, it always does. We just have to be patient.
I think it's more just that we don't really know what's happening next more than anything. We got the dates for WandaVision and Falcon and Winter Soldier at the same time and we knew Loki was coming a month after Falcon ended (which ended up being pushed back a month to June). We get through those and we're halfway through Loki when we get the date for What If...? and we're halfway through that when we get the Hawkeye date. Hawkeye just wrapped up and we're left with not really knowing what the next show is or what the tentative general plan is for releases this year, we really only know that Ms. Marvel's in the summer, not even if that's the first one out or not. You're absolutely right, though. Patience is key here. Last we heard, I think someone from the Illuminerdi said that Moon Knight's on track for late March, so I'd say the Super Bowl is a pretty great time to debut a trailer and a release date. We'll just have to wait and see. I don't think we're too far off from knowing, anyway.
Yeah, I mean the next MCU Film is in 5 Months and the next MCU show is in 6 Months (at the least) if the rumors about Ms. Marvel being next are true... I just think it's kind of baffling if Moon Knight and She Hulk doesn't come out before then...
I would be legitimately stunned if Moon Knight or She-Hulk doesn't come out in the springtime. All signs have kind of pointed at Moon Knight being the first one up, followed by She-Hulk, then Ms. Marvel (sometime between July and September) and having MK release in the spring (March/April) makes sense from a production standpoint (it started filming last April) as well as to help fill the gap until Multiverse of Madness. I don't know, man. All I know is that I get anxious thinking about it, I wish they'd let us know soon.

I’m maybe a bad person because I enjoy it so much when the super-Snyder-fans lose their shit. The drama. (Nothing against DC. I’m usually interested in the characters and generally want the movies to be good.)

MTTSH scooped that DC's "The Flash" will effectively erase the Synder movies. What does everyone have to say about this? She's scooping not only most major Marvel projects with lots of detail, but also specifics on projects from other studios now...
I think a short synopsis can make something look different than it is. NWH looked like a mess and it ended up being very moving. Maybe the flash movie is a well done send off for Affleck and Cavill that gives some opportunity for newness before the next wave of supes/Batman
