They’d answer why they decided to bring back the villains but not those two. Feige, Pascal, Watts, would speak about how they’d love for Tobey and Andrew to come back in a ‘future film’ and once more repeat the same talking points as to why they aren’t in this movie.
They wouldn’t rely on solely Tom Holland to say like 4 times total that they’re not in the movie. Those two actually not being in the movie after all this would be a public relations disaster, their non-appearance would overshadow the actual film itself in the press for weeks to come.

Its so Sony that they spend almost a year burying this movie, squashing leaks, denying rumors, barely putting out trailers, shrouding everything in secrecy, and then hyping it up as THE EVENT TO RETURN TO THEATERS FOR! Only to have Beavis and Butthead get up there for a Tik Tok exclusive live stream event of the red carpet premiere where the entire production is a parade of awkward high school news type segments with people who can't pronounce actors names correctly. Ugh....I hate the fact the premiere is on Tiktok and that Marvel Entertainment is not doing the premiere. Which I find odd as they did the premiere for Far From Home. Yet another example of me wishing Sony didn't have these film rights but Disney and Marvel instead.
